The Cliff of Everything

I climbed the heights of the world
and it took me years.
The peak is not so far away now
I am seized with excitement and fear.

All my life, desiring to grasp this view
at the top of the world
this privilege, secured for the few
is now mine own to hold.

My steady breath distorted
by this altitude.
But life is all but complete
this is my moment to prove.

What i have sacrificed
to quench my thirst of knowledge
I ventured to infinity
and found this mount of all earthly heritage.

Extracted wealth from the altered perspectives
of secluded masses and endeavors introvert.
The gathering of information is fulfilled
True completion of life leads to wisdom stricken rebirth.

So here i am at the pinnacle of lively hood.
Observing beneath the common, that i was.
Though through ambiguity or curiosity
i move further to take a step in thin air.

The Sea of Life

The journey is infant and the waters are calm
the boat is carried on soft waves as if sailing on a child's palm
as the sounds of peaceful streams sends a newborn to sleep.

The boat makes way as the child slumbers
a fresh mind kept in the oceans trance begins to dream and wonder
resting, unbeknownst as the vessel slips into a mist.

Now the child wakes up as a youth,
opening eyes to a fog of illusions and truth.
Distraught and confused but taking the ship and beginning to stir.

All the obstacles are shrouded in mystery
as the boat stumbles and brings worries and misery,
the youth is lost and is subdued to the sea's leer.

But after spending years in a vapor steaming with obstructions
the youth has begun to familiarize and find way through its restrictions
as a physique that has come of age emerges from the smoke.

Sailing with a new found grip, a mind learned and clear.
A will to bend storms and ripe the glory even out of fear.
Now a fragile conscious ascends into desire that runs amok.

Now with a daring soul to challenge the roaring sea
soaring to the crests with high waves of ambitions released
The pinnacle of the ocean, this new life seeks to reach.

The spirit lived as an unaware stowaway
wandered as a lost sailor
now leads as a captain of ones own ship, whose spirit nothing can breach.

And as the leader scales the known seas,
attaining all the desires one can believe,
satisfaction gleams into a smile but the handles become loose and spirit steep.

As the journey becomes old,
and the waters have finally settled down
as the sounds of peaceful streams sends a worn out captain to sleep.

Follow the Light

The light it spread.
Dispersed and shed,
a playful sight to us all.

The adults stayed stunned
but we children thought fun,
we ran to it as the elders stalled.

Imaginations ran bare,
the curiosity we shared,
as we hurried like never before.

Expectations were heightening
with patterns of smoke and lightening,
we had to see what was in store.

But the heat grew intense
we found it difficult to pretend
that we could still carry on.

Some of us fell down.
As the others looked back and frowned
some mocking that we couldn't move on.

As we tried to get up
a hand grabbed us and fled
up to the hills where we lived.

As we looked up above.
All the people rushed down and shoved
each other to get the children below.

As they grabbed the young
they caught them and ran
to escape the bright flash, as it grew to a meteoric show.

The voyage back was a struggle
the one then, we didn't understand.
while at our destination, the news caught hold.

The town that was down the hills
becomes a childish remnant
as the premonitions of war took its toll.

Blank Confession

My love cannot be kept into words.
Nor can it be carved with the sharpest sword.
Neither can it be shaped with the most expressive cloud.
It cant be voiced or screamed out loud.

It is the fragrance that delights every smell.
The single drop that fills the deepest well.
It might be all ill have to give.
But it will be there long after i leave.

Its not in the softness of every perceived touch.
It is everything to expect, yet not so much.
My love is little but it can delight.
For just a sight, it can be weak, but it can guide the light.

So know that i will not boast faked beauty for you.
All i say, will be nothing but the truth.
I will not use any magic to trap your eyes.
I will let you understand the language of disguise.

Saving Your Souls, Taking Your Money

Saving your souls, Taking your money

Preying on my faith,
driven by desire
they eyes glimmer divine self esteem
representing the will they contemplate of a holy sire.

Stating their beliefs reflecting their own gain.
Proving somehow for the greater good.
Questioning their motives could drive you insane.
You will only end up misunderstood.

The truth they distort
their reaches exceed any self control
signs that implement a coorparate agenda
which they brand salvation for us all.

eyeing the people
vulnerable and victimized
by this legal system
with goals, only the rich, realize.

threatening us with prophecies
to which even our imagination screams.
and blinding us with treasures
beyond our wildest dreams.

And then who still believe
give up their lively goal and intentions
to a mere game of monetary profit and loss
so they will acquire wealth beyond their earthly possessions.

So whatever in the end you will find
gratification or lies.
Did your prayers fall on deaf ears?
you will never leave a sign

Here,At the End of All Things

I am lying here on a dimly lit floor
as the fulfilling rays of life are all but gone,
I am so glad i never took its glow for granted
for i know it will not return to me again at dawn.

I see streams of memories rush past my eye,
but i grasp only those that bring my heart a joyous uproar,
for today, let the pain only consume my body
and let the peace lay claim to my soul.

I am surrounded by tearful faces, not willing to let me go,
holding on with all their lives to a fragile hand.
Refusing that the world is willing to take back all it was willing to bestow.
Blinded by love or gratitude, this step of life they refuse to understand .

And even if the life i led with them spared me little fortune
and masked my name with obscurity.
In this darkest moment their limelight of love has surrounded me,
In a single moment i feel my life's greatest glory ,oh lord, where else could i be?

Believe Me Too

Seldom have I kept you close to me.
Though you are never intent on leaving.
I love you so, please believe me
But it is this life, that is robbing our time together, it is thieving.

How i long for you whenever my thoughts wander,
but choices have constrained me to the point where i can only ponder
how, though people love they cant always be there for each other
believe me too, when i say , if i am not there for you, it is no sin to be with another.

My love only wants you to be loved.
It is what you want too, i know.
All these passions we have built together
all these promise, are they only for show?

I feel every day how all your expectations are slipping away
all alone, within those four walls where we thought we could have our way.
I have no right to put you through such loneliness
Believe me too ,when i say i suffer with you in our helplessness.

But you seem so happy to see me again.
As though i were always here lying in your arms.
But it is not so, we have been separated by this terrible rain
that falls on our bond and brings it harm.

But i Know what i must do to make this right.
Not ending all we have, let that pass beyond our sight.
Like you have given up things for me, placed them aside.
Believe me too When i say i will do the same for you whatever sacrifices, i will abide.

My Sweet Dilemma

I'll be leaving at night
when there's no one at sight
too afraid to make someone sad
leaving them to shock, isn't any better than that.

But hey, I'm outta choices.
Dreams and so many voices.
Telling me what I've got to do.
So I'm risking it all for you.

My life and my goal.
You're all i have to enroll.
You and this old guitar.
If i ever succeed , maybe ill come visit them at our bar.

They who've held my hand
and got me this far.
I'm not abandoning them, i say.
I've just got to be a star.

But then all their investment
It doesn't matter,they always say.
I'm still to young, is their view
"Make up your mind, till then, please stay."

But I'm sure what i want to do
i cant hold it in the coursebook of my education
this dream that i want to pursue
make it big, be the sound on every station.

Thinking is a waste.
I tell myself.
You have to take a perk on life's taste
while you can still help.

Friends will be waiting for me
on this struggle road.
But will they be there forever?
Neither will my family, am i alone?

What a drift from where i stand.
But i cant move a step.
I cant think right or wrong
might as well make a song, wheres my tape?

Yeah i use tapes, its a family matter.
Memories come rushing in
I cant let it all shatter,
all my emotions are caving in.

But my options make it fun
to ponder about my life.
My sweet dilemma makes my world turn
but it sees my perspectives through different eyes.

Then a jolt of reality
as she sees me about to leave.
She just stares at me,
what does she perceive?

Never Mind the Reception

How many times will you stop acting free
Just to please a perspective?
Always on the lookout for that peculiar spectator,
confining life to be so subjective.

Indulging in such a slender code of morality.
Even a wild youth is tied to the principles of an unbecoming age.
Sharing the social state of make believe tranquility.
A shallow mind consumes all and thrusts life into a daze

But still no one to realize life is too short for all these ordeals.
Every minute detail too irrelevant yet judged.
All the aspects of a fragile life lost to the worlds ideals.
So never mind the reception, then maybe the cornerstones of civilization will budge.

Nothing Like This Love

Nothing like this love

Defining my love cant be put into words
For it is too free to be confined.
No expressions nor intentions
can grasp or seize what i might find.

So much to be felt
still for just a single person.
but one is all i need
to release me from my eternal forlorn.

A momentary glance at you
can give me more than a lifetimes worth.
Whatever i do however i say it
there is nothing like this love.

But still i struggle to confess
though all i feel drive me towards it.
As if all i had was never meant
to reach out to you.
