Gifts of Nature

Oh breeze oh breeze upon my face your breath so soft and free
My body yearns to feel thou breath which blows so warm on me
Oh breeze oh breeze with birds you fly as you lift them far and wide
A thousand feathers gently flock to you begging for a ride

Oh sun oh sun such glories rays as you shine on flowers in bloom
All life does ask for your warming glow to save them from sure doom
Oh sun oh sun your hot healing fire makes the darkness go away
Each hour that you share your love, grey shadows never stay

Oh crystal waters fast and flowing over each mountains peak so clean
You quench my body and my soul nourishing every cell pristine
Oh crystal waters your precious drops quenching all life on this earth
Your raging essence and your awesomeness supports energy, life and birth

Oh earth oh earth under my body you heal as you energize me with your touch
When I lay upon your blanket green you fill my heart and soul with much
Oh earth oh earth my mother dear I thank you for holding me here
Without your love and your greatest force my spirit would fly up in the air

Each one of you does strengthen me and hold my mortal frame
As I enter one life from another I find your fire, wind and rain.

Earth Beneath My Feet

I wish I could just flip the world and walk upon the sky with the clouds beneath my tired feet and the earth above me high ~ I would swim and glide through perfect blue exploring every cloud I see I would ask the stars for stardust light for when the night fall downs on me ~ Like a bird I’d fly , I’d twist and turn closing my eyes , sun against my skin I would humbly ask the eagles how to dance gently in the wind ~ I would dance and turn and fly about till rest begged me to sleep Then I’d open my eyes and my twisted earth would be back against my feet ~ Written by: Corrina Leblond

Happiness

Sunshine

Punches sadness

floating on clouds weightless

delighted happiness will follow

I shine

Haiku - Four Seasons

Orange lilies sway

Swollen wood fence leaning drenched

First summers storm over

Cold autumn breeze blows

Bell ringing in the distance

Red leaves slow dancing

Tree branch barren home

Red oak acorns deep

Squirrels huddle for warmth

Ice soon melts new day

Gray chair with no color creaks

Sunshine breaths new life

The Day I Flew the Coop

Lying on top of the fresh new grass

dandelions gladly cushioned my head

I chewed a grass blade soft, young and sweet

wishing I could stay in my bed

The dishes piled high no one cared

kids eyes glazed from too much gaming

the ants were well fed , the dog hungry.. not dead

yet when I said “what a mess!”I heard blaming

I pondered and wished I could stay here all day

and wondered if they would notice or even ask why?

The pale sky whitish blue the sun had a hue

the bugs biting my neck, I sighed

I jumped up and yelled “that’s it, let them sit!”

I’ll fly away on the tail of my kite

if could just get the right breeze;

I would lift off my feet

the neighbors would just think what a sight!

“Oh for sure she’s lost it!” they may murmur with glee

just watch and see how far she gets with that wind

Just a girl with a kite whose head was not right,

certainly both of her knees will get skinned

As I ran and I huffed my lungs sure did puff,

with one great leap I was high in the air

From above high I could see, a world smaller than me

and then I thought “Wait take me back, I do care”

As I glided back down, feet touching no sound

I was back where I knew I belonged

I lay back down on the grass, no one noticed or asked

The day I flew the coop… but didn’t stay gone.

I Would Forever Wait

If I could be but a breath;

Anticipating each sweet rhythm; watching the rise of my chest

Collapsing in sweet song, sending out just my best

Id breathe out I Love you, and forget all the rest

If I could be but a breeze;

Id whisper my love in a rustle of leaves, anticipating as they awake

New fall colors scattering my love neither here nor there, Id debate

If this breeze was what could describe my heart, as it ached

If I could be but a gust,

Id blast my strong gale, erupting in a clatter and loud clangs

I would howl out your name as the gust accompanied hard rain

Tears streaming down by thousands, rattling cold window panes

If I could be but a draft;

Id slip under doorways, slide in next to you as you forever sleep

Rest myself within white satin's, under boards as they creak

Be that shiver that reminds you, you are never alone despite what you think

If I could only be with you;

As a warm wind I’d soar to heaven’s gate

I’d stay there

I would forever wait.

Cupids Bow

One pierce from loves’ arrow sent my heart high

dear Cupid cast a gift from his red bow

weightless soaring through God’s lonely blue sky

Laced with bounties of love he would bestow

On that day we first met true love did soar

I pinched my own arm to startle my sleep

Then wondered if this new love would soon bore

yet love grew rich I fell deeper than deep

I knew that your love must be heaven sent

As I prayed to meet true love such as thou

Your love a bright spark of God He so lent

Just when I needed your love then and now

My faith restored in loves quest I believe

As Cupid struck hard that midsummer’s eve.

Spring Oasis

Sauntering without hindrance in consciousness

Sudden waves of lilac delight

Borne of a sweet tempered breeze I inhale

Powerful auras and essence soon ignite

Fields of flowers, tall grass, background birds singing

Closing my eyes I can no longer resist

I feel myself floating on air to that place I know well

Only in my mind does this utopia exist

Happiness and laughter fill my oasis

Birth of life from all nature abide here

Lilac carries me on a cloud of joy

Perched above all sadness and fear

Immaculateness wafting from rows of white lilacs

Serenity encompasses my spirit with peace

Pink lilacs increase my self confidence

My inner spirit strengthened, absence of meek

The violets ignite my spirits passions

Storms of rapture to undo all the wrongs

At peace I repose with new purpose

As my oasis once again has helped me grow strong

Spring Haiku Collection

Thin ice fades away
Worms begin to stir beneath
Sprouted grass tickles ant’s toes

~

Fingerprints on glass
A blue jays nest on my eve
Babies sing its spring

~

Muck squash rubber boots
Rain sprinkles from heaven’s gate
Rainbows glow full bloom

~

Scent of white violets
Innocence blooms, babies smile
Sand grows in socks and shoes

~

Ah yes summer’s sun
Convertibles screech down roads
Trees awake leafless

Blessings From Mother Nature

When my head had failed to sooth my heart

Common sense could not be found

Mother Nature hurled her cape of sustenance

In Her beauty, love tumbled around

When darkness from an impaired heart

Cast a spell my way with a leer

Love whispered “quick surround yourself”

A blanket of green earth appeared

When the thunder of my psyche clapped

Fleets of shame soon downward poured

Lighting strikes shook those within my breadth

No light came til the morn

Young spirits frolicked on my bed of green

Elapsed storm left a morning’s dew

Awakened with the sun’s bright rays of hope

A yellow bird settled on arms length bloom

Comfort of innocence and beauty enchanted me

In silence I submerge my thoughts in natures play

I whisper to my heart “it will be just fine”

For in Nature’s light and love, I am blessed today.
