Second Eden

I bow my head Your Majesty, Thou reign on heaven and earth
I wonder whence I look around to see Thy marvelous craftsmanship.
I exalt Thee considering how great Thou art and how beautifully for my mirth
Made the universe to manifest Thy steadfast love for man and with him Thy relationship.

The first gleam of light at dawn followed by an evanescent hue of gold orange yellow at noon.
The resplendent clouds that form golden canopy, hemmed with red lace border in twilight.
The infinite fascinating space illuminated with cluster of stars and the magnificent moon.
After the glorious sunset behind the spectacular horizon, where meets the sky and sea before night.

The sumptuous waterfalls and giggling of ceaseless fountains
The tranquil seas on full moon night with it's dazzling waves
The lush green meadows spread like carpet, the majestic crown of snow capped mountains.
The exuberant rivers with all their charm meet the sea for what they crave.

Deep blue Mediterranean, unfathomable Pacific, mighty Atlantic
Obey Thy Commands, satisfy human needs though they are Gigantic.
Rivers, lakes, streams and brooks quench man's thirst, fulfill his passions
Serve the humans, listening to Thy call to all the nations.

Splendid trees with blossomed flowers and ripened fruits, meet the necessity of food
Build abode, provide shelter to the wearied traveler everything they do for our good.
Ungrateful, we destroy and misuse them to fulfill our selfish ambition.
The human greed, pouring tar, mess up nature's canvas
To make pathway and trot the globe through the concrete bypass.

In the garb of civilization, modernization and industrialization,
Digging our own grave.
Deforestation, emissions, sophisticated war weapons and water pollution,
For our own offspring, what can we save?

Species are being extinct, mountains are melting, ozone layer is depleting
barren land is increasing.
Human intellectuals, have you ever thought what will be your future, how will you celebrate life which is so grand here?

The scientists plan to make colonies in space to save the human race.
We, God's children blessed with a home, a replica of heaven
Ruining His gift, once again to be banished from Second Eden.
Though Thou banished Adam and Eve from Eden to show Thy wrath
You made the Second Eden for You so loved the man and adorned the Earth
Stubborn man! why don't you save your haven before you fly to an alien land
Where you ought to make a home in the sky, desert or on sand?

18th July - Tribute To the Departed Soul of My Mother On Her 10th Death Anniversary

Ten years passed Maa, you left this world leaving me alone
but still I feel your presence, your tender touch, quietly lying in bed, I moan.
Always you were concerned, who will take care of me in your absence
today none is there to worry for me, in their lives, I have no importance.

Still I find myself holding your coffin, sitting by your lifeless body, on that ill-fated day,
I touched your hands and feet, cold as ice, unable to come out of dismay.

A heavenly peace on your face, comfortably sleeping, from all worldly sufferings you were away.
I cried, but never could wake you up, couldn't believe your sweet face could ever decay.

Sometimes, at leisure when I look at the sky on a peaceful night,
Sitting in my 'Hanging Garden on a lonely night beneath the serene moonlight,
I can hear your melodious voice, the songs you sang for me
Those priceless moments we spent together, lying on our terrace amidst
Shiuli, Jasmine and Hasnahana tree.

I was a teenager, blooming to be a beautiful young girl, bidding my childhood adieu,
You were proud of my beauty and talents, I was lucky to inherit from you.

You dressed me up beautifully each time I celebrated my auspicious days
You made me feel I'm the most gorgeous girl, confident in your praise.

Our children were brought up in your love and care
You once again proved to be a great grandmother.
You taught them how to live life in faith and prayer
always been pious and a true God lover.

You are the best mother ever I have met, a blessing from above
A Godly image of sacrifice, benevolence and abundance of love.
I've ne'er seen a greater animal lover, flowing water of love from a ceaseless cascade.

I've seen you taking care of sick kith and kin in their last days
Forgiving the evil they unleashed on you, you nursed them with a smiling face.
I salute your virtue of forgiveness and the Spirit of caring for your enemies,
I believe you're enjoying with our Lord in Heaven
dwelling with angels and heavenly bodies!

My Super Hero

Deepavali night it was, the festival of light,
East to west, north to south, the whole of India was lit up and looked so bright.

Empty, dark sky on a new moon night, perhaps the moon had gone to take a nap,
From heaven as a Diwali gift, the moon came down to earth to light up my lap.

All saints Day is celebrated every year along with his birthday,
Yes,he's my offspring, the apple of my eye,my heart throbs for him when I pray,

Ardent, daredevil, optimistic, adventurous, industrious like an ant,
Nothing can stop, none can beat him, he's born to be triumphant.

Powerful and strong, multi - talented, intellectual, amazingly knowledgeable,
Amiable, jovial, innovative in ideas, tender in heart he is extremely admirable.

Unmovable as mountains to accomplish his mission, nothing for him is impossible.
Loyal to his employer, passionate about job, obstacles could never stop or hit,

Boldly he overcomes all hurdles that come his way, after all he's the Best Athlete.
A mountaineer, marathon runner, the super star of his mom.

Super human, super fighter, to you I bless,
Until this Earth remains, thousands of years you live, not even a year less.

The Heroine

Make up! Sound! Camera! Light! Action!
Today, all seems just an illusion.
She had a dream to become a Heroine
Like Sophia, Audrey, Liz and Marilyn!

If not Hollywood, it can be Bollywood or Tollywood
Dream came true, luck favoured, her talents were recognized and understood.
Mesmerizing beauty, fabulous dancer, melodious singer, fantastic actor
Drew the attention of all producers, heroes and directors!

Film journalists and shutterbugs waited hours to take her interview and snaps,
Iris, she became of her fan's eyes, deserved their overwhelming claps.
Apollo of the Tinseltown, apple of the eye of the viewers,
Fame, wealth and stardom kissed her feet, as if within few hours.

Smiled sarcastically, Cupid, the God of Love, hiding himself behind a Cirrus,
Shot an arrow aimed at the Heroine's heart, singing a chorus with Aphrodite and Venus.

With her photo on the cover page, flashed the media,
She is getting married to a producer!
Fans were disheartened, industry was shocked,
heroine became a homemaker, thirty years passed!

Fans forgot her, beauty deserted her, all that was left was graying hair and wrinkles on her face.
The brightest star dropped down to earth, accompanied by golden memories and faded snaps, safely tucked in a silver case.

A Quest For Home

Oh! The Supreme soul, the creator of all creatures,
My heart longs to see thee and seeks thee in thy awesome nature
That thou fashioned, as thou fashioned me
And all the other souls as thou want them to be.

The sky and seas, the mountain and the trees
The clouds and the rains, the green and golden grains,
The ceaseless rivers, sparkling brooks or the transparent streams
Flow to their destination, as you designed to fulfill their dreams.

From the majestic wild beasts to the tiny little geese,
From the meek humble lambs and fish, to the butterflies and bees,
The splendid penguins, gorgeous swans, doves and birds of paradise
Sing thy praises at the glorious dawn, looking at the mesmerizing sun rise.

And look up to the heavenly wonder! The fabulous rainbows
And feel thy presence when the gentle comforting breeze blows.
Oh Lord! The enormous ocean of love
Quench my thirst, enhance my tolerance and raise me above
All hatred resentment, burning my pride
Teach me thy way to take a stride
To walk on a path of peace, righteousness and compassion
And let my spirit be united with thine and forever abide.

Cleanse my impurity sprinkling thy amazing grace,
Do not banish me when I’m in distress from seeking thy dazzling face
Soak me with thy passion and boundless love when I’m dry
That I may wipe the tears of thy needy children when they cry.

Bless that I may obtain thy mercy in the days of my trouble
When I raise my hands up to you confessing that I’m feeble
When all my strength blows off like a bubble
May I rest my head on thy shoulder for I know you’re able.

All my worries all my sorrows
Lead me to the way that’s dark and narrow
Hold my hand and guide me to the path that’s yours
Heal my heart and soul, make me purest of the pure.

As the birds crave to reach their nest before twilight,
Take me to my eternal home where I can dwell in your light
But still I’ve to walk miles and miles in wilderness I’m sure
And face trials and turbulence and tides to cross the sea and reach the shore
Where thou art waiting to embrace and take me home
Where my soul will rest forever and wonder in dark no more.
I cry and yell to my potter, mold me Lord as thou needeth me to be at your home
My final destination where my maker lives, my sweet eternal home.

I Met An Angel - Dedicated To Someone Special On His Birthday

I heard about angels, they appeared in my dream
I was told, they dwell in heaven and hover upon the heavenly stream,
They don't exist in this planet, thus I never searched them here
I eagerly waited to meet one, once my journey's over and I reach there.
I read in scripture and fairytale that they can do any wonder !
They're Jehovah's messenger, he has given them miraculous power.
Yewah send them on earth when his men are in distress and in trouble,
to protect them from danger, to manifest His glory, and redeem them from evil.

Suddenly one summer morning, I saw an angel on this earth,
Did he descend from heaven or here did he take birth?
gentle, lowly in heart,he adorned me with knowledge, set me free from captivity-
-touching me with his magic wand.
I was exalted, satiated, regaining my confidence, reborn with a new life on this land.
He gifted me his wings to fly free in the infinite blue sky,
I woke up from deep sleep, delighted, transformed,I remembered, he had left me-
                                                           -bidding me goodbye.

The Everlasting Soulmates

I remember not since when I made friendship with extreme solitude
Was it my own choice or was I compelled to?
Neither I complained to my destiny
nor I blamed those who caused me agony,
I forgave them, never turned back, I proceeded
accepting my ill fate, embraced life 'as it is' with a positive attitude.

I'm nostalgic today, searching for a solitaire
amidst the rubble of my destruction,
I find all are not trash, few precious stones I see and admire
who kindled my life with fire of hope, prosperity and celebration.
They filled my crystal glass with expensive french red wine,
spent a few moments of joy, shared grieves of mine.

They came to cease my tempest I bore in my heart
and drove me to a meadow of tranquility to gear my life for a new start
I tried not to tie them forever with a strong silken thread,
'Cause I feared I'll loose them if the knot is too tight, it'll break
So i bound them with no bondage that makes the relationship strain,
I preferred to keep their memory in heart and cherish as first monsoon rain.

We departed one day with heavy heart, leaving precious memories for each other
I couldn't find a suitable name for these relationships that are above all other
worldly relationships that demands more than they give.
Those great souls demanded no price, only they inspired me to live.
I bless them with all my gratitude for they came to my life
as heavenly blessings to fill my empty cup and remove my darkness with their light.

Gods Child

Can you hear a babe crying of hunger?
The mother has no milk in breast to feed her.
I turned to see them but found two skeletons,
Few bones covered with skin, Are they humans?
The mother has no strength to beg for feeding her offspring,
Counting her last breath but still for some savior she’s waiting,
Difficult to sustain, for every breath she’s gasping
Unprepared to leave her alone in this merciless world,
The little creature that’s clinging
Holding with her feeble hands the lifeless body,
The Gods child is weeping.

Can you see the ocean of crowd in the railway station?
Not a single one has time to turn or pause, not they show any emotion
Here live all lifeless machines, no trace of humanity and compassion
All running for name fame and position, money is their passion.
Crores they donate in Your temple, mosque, gurudwara and church
But blind they are to see your child dying for a cup of milk,
Little shelter, little care and love, is that too much?
Loving God you must be ashamed of your best creation
You created in your image to take care of your world not for destruction.

O Beautiful Night

O' Beautiful Night

O Night, beautiful dusky night!
World says, you’re dark and dreadly
There’s no sign of light!

I say, I find solace to take refuge in your lap,
You’re perfect to sing ‘lullaby’ and make me sleep, not just a nap.
Although the glow of moon and stars may not be so bright,
Oh meek and humble night! Being behind the limelight,
Like a loyal loving ideal Indian wife
You let the sun spread his mighty glorious light,
And let the world glorify him and say, Sun is so bright,
But the night is dark, it has no light.

I Begin the Day

It’s thy aroma in cool breeze that wakes me up in the morning
It’s thy glorious rays of dawn, removes the darkness, enlighten my soul
It’s thy melodies, I hear through the chirping of a bird and her nestling
It’s the warmth of thy love in the rising sun opens my eyes
It’s the multiple bliss and grace thou sent through the lights from the skies

It’s the crystalline dews on the grass reminds me that you’re so caring
I begin my day with a hope that all my stress of the day you’ll be sharing
Throughout the day I may have to face failure criticism hurt feelings
But I know you are there for me, all my distress you’ll be bearing
At the end of the day I’ll take refuge in your arms.

As the whole nature with your praise begins the day
I rise from my bed joining my hands and closing my eyes to pray
I thank my savior as I breathe every single breath
By his grace I am hale and hearty, he keeps me away from ‘death’
Both my body and soul I surrender in your mighty hand.

It’s your voice that whispers, I can hear
Though it’s faint but I can hear it very clear
I can feel your tender touch on my shoulder
You comfort me with your faithful promise
That you’ll never forsake me but fill me with your heavenly bliss.

Book: Reflection on the Important Things
