Gods Child
Can you hear a babe crying of hunger?
The mother has no milk in breast to feed her.
I turned to see them but found two skeletons,
Few bones covered with skin, Are they humans?
The mother has no strength to beg for feeding her offspring,
Counting her last breath but still for some savior she’s waiting,
Difficult to sustain, for every breath she’s gasping
Unprepared to leave her alone in this merciless world,
The little creature that’s clinging
Holding with her feeble hands the lifeless body,
The Gods child is weeping.
Can you see the ocean of crowd in the railway station?
Not a single one has time to turn or pause, not they show any emotion
Here live all lifeless machines, no trace of humanity and compassion
All running for name fame and position, money is their passion.
Crores they donate in Your temple, mosque, gurudwara and church
But blind they are to see your child dying for a cup of milk,
Little shelter, little care and love, is that too much?
Loving God you must be ashamed of your best creation
You created in your image to take care of your world not for destruction.
