Ahmir Harmon Poem
How does one prove himself?
Do you display loyalty?
Earn trust?
If so; how?
How do you show loyalty?
Is trust even a real thing?
I often say I can't even trust myself
Never knew why, just a saying
Now I know why
When a person has a secret
Their first instinct
Is to tell someone else
If they do, they lose some trust in themselves
Without knowing it
Sometimes we say
"Oh no, I can't trust myself"
In a jokingly way
But what we fail to realize is that
Everything we say can be perceived another way

Ahmir Harmon Poem
Who do you really know?
Are you a true believer of self knowledge?
Who can you really trust in a world consumed by disloyalty?
Who do you really know in a world ravaged by confusion?
Do I know you?
Can I trust you?
Do you know you?
Can you trust yourself?

Ahmir Harmon Poem
Some people wear facial cleansing masks
Others wear masquerade masks
But these are only temporary
The mask I wear everyday
Is the mask of happiness
Not only does it shield my feelings from society
But it shields society from my feelings
This is the mask I wear
This is the voice you hear
This is Ahmir
