Bed

I'm close to the edge
So far to this side
I feel less alone
In this place where I hide

The middle is there
Close to that side-
Was warm once before
Where we once did collide. 

Enraptured in passion
Then surrounded with calm
Just us in our space
So safe from all harm. 

No beginning No ending
Just complete, just one. 
Soft whispers "I love you"
Held close as day's done. 

Pain from the quiet
Can't believe it's so loud
Alone in the silence
My heart the lone sound. 

This side is much safer
No memory or scent
No sounds to remind me
How it was, how it went. 

That side is the space once
I kept just for you. 
Now I reach, wish to find you, 
It's all I can do. 

I stay from that side now
From the empty and cold. 
Nothing to warm me 
Nothing left there to hold.

Just Shut Up

Turn the bed down
Let your pants drop too
There's so much I want
Want to give to you
Screw the sheets
We can do it here
Just shut up
all I want to hear is
'Jeeeezus baby'
And make you fear
It's gonna be slow, 
You'll beg from inside
I'll take my sweet time
To touch 
To kiss
While I look into your eyes 
You're not the boss now.
I want what I want-
It's gonna be my way
The way that I want. 
Stop playing tough
It don't fly with me. 
Just shut up and take it-
Yah, look down at me
You're beauty above me
Glistens with wet
Your knees to the sides of me
Feeling weak yet?
'Gawd, what you do to me!'
Your hand on my head
It's happening right here-
Screw the damn bed.

Beautiful Mess

Beautiful Mess

There's list of all things
Of what makes me me-
Some childish, some grown up, some real
Some make believe. 

Some hit me hard while others reached me so deep. 
Warmed me, chilled me
Calmed and thrilled me. 
Shock me or broke me
Wrecked me, even saved me. 

Excitement, fullfillment
Disappointment too 
tranquility with color,
But despair oh so blue. 

Love and laughter- 
Raw passion, sweat and tears. 
Seduction , Surrender, rebellion, confusion-
Some fear. 
I screwed up, I did
No way to deny. 
I loved, laughed and dared life,
And many times did cry. 

Alone in a crowd,
Yet felt crowded alone. 
Been together- spot on, 
And in pieces on the ground. 
Easy to reach, but so out of touch. 
Here and then there- from life I want so much.

Passion unyielding if it's something I see-
I want what I want, 
When I want it, that's me. 

To own me some tried-
No, it can't be done. 
Don't tie me, don't cage me
You'll be left with none. 
Understand what I'm made of-
Don't pretend it's not there. 
Respect it, embrace it if you really do care. 

I am who I am, all good, all the bad
See who I am-
So much to be had. 
If it is too much- yah
I can understand. 
But I cannot change it- 
I am who I am. 

Love me or leave me
The choice is there
When I take my last breath-
I will know 
Who really cared.

Summer Breeze

An occasional breeze 
Like your gentle touch
Makes my heart skip a beat with a breath taking rush

This hot summer night takes my mind to your skin, so sweet and moist,
The scent of your neck 
The sound of your voice. 

The rustle of trees mixed with the sweet song of birds 
Fills me with peace 
Remembering those words

"I love this, I love you"
This is the place
Your beautiful face,
Eyes I know see me
With true love complete.

Dusk turns to night
And crickets chirp now
As darkness surrounds me
I remember just how
It tasted to kiss you,
you in my arms. 

It's never left me
Not a smile or a kiss
I feel still the same-
Still feel all of this.

The One

My thoughts are all scattered
My heart is in tatters
In a spin, in a whirlwind
Tried to tell you-
Did it matter?

So much still to say,
No words to convey-
My emotions and heart
Like cards waiting to play.

Frustration and anger at my lack of sense,
I've never been here
Never felt such intense. 

I'm a mess I'm dramatic-
The hell did you do?
I do NOT get like this, NEVER have until you. 

I don't like, it sucks !
Always knew where I was.
You have scrabbled me
Wrecked me-
Made me come all undone. 

What is it about you that makes me this way?
Believe me there's been others
But none have left  me this way. 

I don't get all stupid
But you do this to me. 
I owned my own life til
You looked over my way. 

Sometimes I do hate you for what you have done,
You broke me undid me

The Key

The key to my heart hits the floor as you go,
It's shine turned to rust 
it's edges are worn. 
No need to repair it, 
No use for it now, 
For the lock where it fit Is lost and forlorn. 

I wish for you laughter
I wish for you love
To find someone perfect,
A hand to your glove. 

I'll walk away quiet 
And leave you in peace
Forget you won't happen
But you need my release. 

It happened, it's over
What we had once is done.
The pages have turned
I wasn't the one. 

So hearts lay a mess
Feelings ripped up and burned
Just memories are left,
Old lessons relearned. 

I'm good, it's fine now 
Alone, I'm ok. 
I'm really quite sure 
I am meant to be 
this way.

Naked

Naked 
Baring all
Not just my body but
My heart, my soul
Trusting acceptance 
Cuz you said you love me
I drop it all now, -defences,  protections 
Emotionally naked
All my fears are on the table 
My inner most flaws and insecurities
You've made me feel safe it's ok to show all of me
I'm so not perfect 
I have scars 
I have bruises
Do you think they're ugly?
will you turn away?
How I love you, so much
So much that I want you to know me
Really know me, see me
I'm so not perfect.

Seduction of Rain

A rhythmic tapping on the roof- sets my heart to pound 
Wet streaming down each pane of glass
Takes me back to you 

Through my window comes a breeze
It stirs a need inside

My skin alive and yearning 
to be warmed by all of you.  
The caress of your breath, against my ear
The sounds you use to make
Memories take me there
And drive my strength to break. 

Such a void, an ache of emptiness 
Desire far bigger than me

The breath I miss, can't catch it now
Drowning in the need

The aching, yearning pulsing 
Not to be contained.
I  touch,
It flows in sweet release
Just me alone to let it go.

Take Me

Take me to your bed now, I want to go, yet no.
I'm just afraid of what this is-
Is it just sex? Please let me know. 

I can't lie and won't deny
How much I need this now.
But if its fake or just for fun
Don't tell me I'm your one. 

I'll turn my cheek and close my eyes afraid  to let you see 
How real this is to me. 

Break me down but love me
Reach deeper than my skin
I need to feel you thru me
But afraid to let you in.  

I need to see into your eyes I want to know there's more. 
I need much more then sweet release-
So easy to be your whore.

I want to know your layers,  please let me see inside. 
I want to know its more than sex-
Show me what you hide. 

Your body beautiful, warm and sweet all tangled up with mine.

I pictured you today 
And how beautiful you are 
Your smile warms me like the sun
One look- I come undone 

I thought of you today
And the way that you walk in

And all the love I feel
For you 
Within

But don't you leave without me
Come get me, let's fly away
