Bring Out the Red Balloons and the Dancing Baboons

Bring out the red balloons
and the dancing baboons
get that water slide ready
‘n’ where’s Tim’s old teddy
someone turn the music up
who pissed in my tea cup!
put those gifts right here
thank you Mary, my dear
shit!, look at the spaghetti
it’s all covered in confetti
it’s ok we have plenty more
Billy get of the dirty floor
um, have you got the lollies
‘n’ the cars and the dollies
someone change her nappy
think it’s getting a bit crappy
Jimmy don’t pull her hair
now go and sit over there!
time to get out the bar-b-que
go ‘n’ get the meat will you?
Maureen please don’t cry
you just got to give it a try
hooray! here comes grandpa
in his brand new motorcar
blow your nose please Joey
go and play with little Zoe
ah! here is the pack of steak
did Aunty Jean bring the cake?
wow! many have come today
lots of happy little faces, i say
where’s all the plastic cutlery
oh yes, over there i can see
arrrgh! a mean rubber snake!
you’d scared me master Jake
better go and turn of that tap
whew! already wanting a nap
get me a orange soft drink
there’s Betty, pretty in pink
oh dear, got a bit of a mess
upon my brand new dress
did Larry chain up the dog
hey kid, get of that dirty log!
who’s lost their purple shoe
and who left out this glue?
He’s not deaf, Jenny Peal
he’s a gnome, he’s not real
got to have eyes everywhere
over here, here and over there
now that was not very nice
you say sorry to Sally, Bryce
let all those streamers down
mm, where’s that Bozo clown?
i see arriving now some others
Wendy and her three brothers
time to get on with excitement
all the kids are full of enjoyment
c’mon let’s get on with the fun
being happy under the warm sun
YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye My Dear

lying here waiting for my time to end
looking back at my past my dear friend
the things that we have been through
and all the happy times i spent with you
do you remember when we first did meet?
i think it was down in Elizabeth street
it was a cold day in the middle of may
and i was lying in the gutter that day
you helped me up and brushed me down
before you took me home across town
i had been homeless for about a year
and you decided to give me one, my dear
that day on, i fell deeply in love with you
standing there wearing just one old shoe
i smiled at you through my unshaven face
as you walked with me back to your place
people stared hard at you for helping me
but your good heart they could not see
you kissed me in front of the supermarket
and one old lady dropped her small basket
i was nervous when we got to your house
you noticed i was quiet as a field mouse
as i entered your humble abode with delight
i noticed it was so beautiful and bright
after i washed, shaved and was fully fed
you let me sleep in your spare single bed
in the morning you gave me some breakfast
and i hope this dream would forever last
but it was not a dream, it was for real
finally life had given me a wonderful deal
eventually we got married and had a family
you, me and our children, John and Jamie
we had good jobs and a brand new home
which outside stood a happy garden gnome
John grew up to be successful racing jockey
and Jamie became a television personality
we were so happy together for many years
until the day that our eyes cried some tears
that day the doctors told me i was going to die
with this cancer, it is now time to say goodbye
i loved you my dear, please do not be sad
you gave me a good life when mine was bad
i would of never been so happy without you
and i always had treasured that one old shoe
from the time we met that cold wintry may
to remind me to love you forever and a day
let my love stay forever in your precious heart
for now from this world i will gracefully depart
goodbye my dear........................................

Dancing In the Stars

She had been swaying in the gentle breeze
singing softly in the coolness of the night air.
she danced gracefully reaching for the stars
as they sparkled upon her body without a care
she fluttered about in the now stronger wind
that made the dancing a little more energetic
she looked to the sky to see the happy moon
smilin’ on her soul making her feel so electric
she began to float away from her stable place
where it was the only home she really knew
she did not care as she flew in to the starry sky
above the forest plants covered in night dew
she smiled as the wind blew her above the world
towards the stars shining brightly at her heart
she reached out to touch the oh so pretty things
when they seemed to drift away as if to depart
she began to dance in a twirl as she glided down
back towards her home amongst the natural trees
she darted to and fro as she neared the forest
almost landing into a large hive of angry bees
she saw her home in front of her and reached out
but she continue to fall gently towards the ground
she landed softly with sadness in her gentle soul
and laid there for a while not making one sound
she died with her soul full of a million smiles
knowing her life was happy, no matter how brief
she saw the stars in her heart to bring happiness
even though she was the very first autum leaf

A Street In Every Town and City

there is a street in every town and city
that society observes with empty pity
as they pass by without any actual care
while they enjoy their materialistic share
''glad it's not me'' they say
as they walk away
''not my problem''
''I can't help them!''
''have no time today''
they do not know real truth of the street
as they see children running in bare feet
blaming drugs and alcohol as the reason
when really it may be some other treason
''they’re lazy scum'' they say
as they look away
''such a problem''
''not helping them!''
''have no time today''
some in the street have been unfortunate
possibilities in life have never been great
and others had difficulties to be educated
as society comprehensions are exaggerated
''a waste of taxes'' they say
as they frown away
''what a problem''
''don't help them!''
''have no time today''
everyone in the street scarcely can exist
as the avariciousness of society persist
the everyday struggle can take it's toll
while the negativeness continues to roll
''don't need them'' they say
as they hide away
''annoying problem''
''why help them?!''
''have no time today''
if only society can walk down the street
to really understand it all in a heartbeat
maybe things would be improved for all
c'mon society it's up to you, it's your call
''let's all unite'' I do say
not running away
''fix the problem''
''we can help them!''
''have time today''

Old Man Moon

Old Man Moon way above in the sky
smiling sweetly while he cruised on by
with Stars dancing free in the darkness
sparkling so brightly with such happiness
they twinkled slow around Old Man Moon
each singing a harmonious beautiful tune
as they radiate a million billion smiles
all right across the vast universe’s miles
below him was the mighty Earth planet
coughing, spluttering in her pollution net
Old Man Moon then cried a sorrowful tear
feeling earth may not live, he would fear
with the parasites breeding so fast on her
and destroying all her beauty they’d prefer
than let this gracious lady spin her life
so no more illness is causing her any strife
Old Man Moon has experienced the such
first time in ’69, he detested it so much
Earth’s blue cheeks all now so, so dirty
from the wastes of the parasites, you see
Old Man Moon, tears rolling down his face
seeing Earth this way is such a disgrace
for the ones who are supposed to protect
and live in harmony, not used as a project
daylight nears, the Stars begin to diminish
it’s time for Old Man Moon’s night to finish
as the sun rose, you can see Earth’s pain
Old Man Moon has seen it again and again
he gave Earth a kiss so delicate and light
“goodbye sweetheart i will see you tonight”
the Stars and Old Man Moon cry as one
when they see Earth dying under the sun
