Caryn Gerometta Poem
Schizo, Schizo, oh, no
A life I lead that pains me so
A tiny voice inside my head that just won't go
Only I can hear; people think it is a show
But it is not a show, no, not one bit
The voice I hear is female; sadistic & full of wit
She is entertained by my shrieks for silence - damn, what a bitch
This voice I hear, her name is Nemesis
The Grecian goddess of revenge, what did I do to deserve this?
"Nothing," she once told me - oh, how cynical
She is nothing but a menace
And a criminal
Schizophrenia is not a joke
It's like you're on Meth, or maybe even Coke
Paranoia is driving you to the end of the road
It's really not something you can revoke
Schizophrenia is one scary disease
You see & hear things
That others cannot hear or see
Please, God, tell me why, I am on my knees,
Tell me why you made me such a paranoid freak?
This constant fear of living long
Haunts me everyday at dawn
This voice, she treats me like her little pawn
Nemesis is truly the Devil's spawn

Caryn Gerometta Poem
Little girl with the blood-shot eyes
And cut up skin,
Who is the one that sparked a cry?
Tell me everything,
I want to know
Who did this to you,
Made you feel so low?
Little boy with a black eye
And a bleeding lip,
Tell me everything, who beat you like this?
Don't push me away, please
I'm your friend
I want to help you,
Please, I am on my knees
You want to die,
Why is that, sweetheart?
Am I just not good enough?
I love you, my friend
Please don't commit
Please don't let it be the end
I hope this poem helps you see the light
'Cause it gets better,
You know I'm right
I'll help you through the pain,
Through thick & thin
Just let in the rain
It soon will pass
Life is a process, hun
You soon will see
That your life is worth living
And I won't have to plea

Caryn Gerometta Poem
It's okay, my sweet
To make mistakes
All humans do it everyday
It's okay, my sweet
You're okay
My love for you won't change in a week
You tripped and fell,
You hurt yourself
It's okay, my sweet
I'll help you to your feet
You said something wrong,
Didn't mean to say it
It just came out,
You were not thinking about our song
But it's okay, my sweet
I guess I am a bit too clingy
You know I only care,
I mean, we live in the city
We make a good pair,
Me and you
We've made it through despair
And even bullshit, too
It's okay, my sweet
For everything that you do
Because as long as you stay with me
I know we'll make it through

Caryn Gerometta Poem
Bad luck,
It seems all I've been getting lately
Bad luck,
I'm losing my family
Bad luck,
Mother and uncle have kidney failure
Bad luck,
We need a savior
Bad luck,
It's frustratingly difficult to focus in class
Bad luck,
I've broken so much glass
Bad luck,
I have shitty eyesight
Bad luck,
Why can't things ever go right?
Bad luck,
We have no money to make my teeth straight
Bad luck,
I've been a victim of so much hate
Bad luck,
Yeah, I've got it pretty rough
Bad luck,
But hey, at least I'm tough
Bad luck,
When will things finally work out?
Bad luck,
I'm sorry, I don't mean to pout

Caryn Gerometta Poem
In a dark, dark room
Is where the monsters come out to play
Zombies & vampires,
Won't Buffy have a lot to slay?
In a dark, dark room
Is the monster night club
Alcoholic blood and brains,
What a great hang!
In a dark, dark room,
You're here to stay

Caryn Gerometta Poem
In this light, I see
The land of the free
America, that's what I mean
Though, total freedom is what I cannot see.
Women, we have a right to vote
It's great, we have a right to gloat
Though, we do not have equal pay
That is one thing that I hate
Why should the government choose our rights?
They are ours, not yours to rewrite
And what about the gays?
They should also have their way
In this light, I see
The land of the free
Where total freedom lives not here
Or really, anywhere
It's your bigoted opinions that will not let you see
That women and the gays are not free
Thought you say that they are, and while that is true
We are not a free as men like you

Caryn Gerometta Poem
BryanStars, I love you so
I remember that time we met one year ago
I gave you a page
That I made for you
And you gave me a hug
Or was it two?
BryanStars, I love you so
September 15th feels so long ago
I ditched my sister for a day with you
And even brought my best friend, too
She was short and small
Not really tall
BryanStars, I love you so
After everything, all I had was woe

Caryn Gerometta Poem
Loneliness can be favored
But not fancied
Loneliness can over power you,
Your thoughts taking over control
Loneliness is quiet,
Its isolation will suffocate you
If you're in loneliness
Far too long
