In This Light

In this light, I see The land of the free America, that's what I mean Though, total freedom is what I cannot see. Women, we have a right to vote It's great, we have a right to gloat Though, we do not have equal pay That is one thing that I hate Why should the government choose our rights? They are ours, not yours to rewrite And what about the gays? They should also have their way In this light, I see The land of the free Where total freedom lives not here Or really, anywhere It's your bigoted opinions that will not let you see That women and the gays are not free Thought you say that they are, and while that is true We are not a free as men like you
