A Town Called Rotgut

as I sit in the dingy saloon. Dehydrated and week.journey so long,I hardly feel
my feet.town name, town name, plays over in my head.the name rot and gut is
playing over instead. my insides are the first, and the second are the same.my
travils have prevented me from from feeling sane.as I turn my head, to view all
that is around.the whiskey and beer is flowing so sound.relief ,relief, is all I
need.so I raise my hand for the bartender to see.the room is humming, with an
awkward sound.one as if, just alchaholics around.as I order my drink,I feel a
pain inside, been to long, no alchahol to be found.as the drink gets slammed in
front of my being, the name of the town releases it's fear, rotgut, rotgut once
again in my mind.as I look around, there is no real cowboy to be found.i pick up
my boots and head for the door.never again will I drink no more.making my way
out the dusty town,my life looks better, no rotgut around.

Slang

I sit in my poze wich is home to you.as I suck on my ainchie, wich mean a
ciggarrete or two, Lekker is a word that gets used a lot.to show you the
meaning here is the lot.its lovely amazing cool in vibe, lekker is a word meaning
happy and fine.if I get angry I go befock, please don't repeat it good language
its not.moegoe is something you don't want to be called, it's basically saying you
are a little flawed, it's pronounced as if you have some
flem in your throat , the moe is pronounced just as it's wrote, when u get to the
g, you must see, make a sound like a rocket then it will be.chommie is a meaning
for a friend of yours, like buddy, bru brother of course.when I say something is
kiff to me. it means I like it a lot, cause it's lovely you see.when you call
someone skelm, wether it may be, dishonest and criminal that person must
be.the list goes on one day you will see,I'm feeling lekker and kiff ,no skelm in
me.

Cheese

As I sit on my couch, all cosy and warm.
My head starts thinking of delicious, I'm torn.
I'm happy and content with all that is me.
But there is something missing.
Something I need to feel free.

I think of all that is going on in my life.
The good and the hardships.
All prepared by slice.
Some tasty, some sweet.
Some sour with spice.

There is still something missing,
Missing in my life.
So I sit in bliss and wonder some more.
What am I expecting to knock on my door.

I wish for nothing, but still want more
Life can be confusing and disturbing to all.
Surrounded by love, happiness and more.
What is the need, that's creating a flaw.

I want for nothing, my life is fulfilled.
What is this need, it's making me bleed.
I choose to forget for I am very confused.
I get of the couch, to lighten my mood.

On my walk down the passage
The kitchen calls to me
The fridge in particular, is singing to me.
I open the door and glare inside.

That moment of pause, I'm still thinking of my life.
I reach for the brightest thing that I see.
It's a big block of yellow, Gouda cheese.
I take it in hand and grab a knife.
And prepare myself to cut a slice.

I cut a slice as smooth as can be
And place it in my mouth, section a to b.
And a realization flows like never before
My thoughts of want are gone and no more.

It's funny how little things in our life
Make you feel like you are missing a slice.
Just reach in the fridge and cut some cheese
And be happy in life, take a deep breath
And breathe.

Ziggy Zeppelin

I'm fluffy brown and very bright.
I'm always there
When you afraid at night.
Just close your eyes
And think of me
One,two,now you see me.

I'm here to help you
When kids are mean
I'm your superhero
When times seem gleem

I will shield and protect you
When you feel all alone
In me you can trust
I will never leave you alone

I'm in your heart that's full of love
Bullies can't see me as I watch from above
Your so special and that is true
Remember ziggy zeppelin
Is always there for you.

So when someone in this beautiful world
Says nasty things to make you feel cold
Just close your eyes and count to three
Ziggy zeppelin is in your heart you see

So you don't have to ever fear
I'm in your heart and always near.
So close your eyes and think of me
My new best friend
Forever we will be.

Being Leaf

From tiny green,I hang on to my branch
Protected by those that surround me.
Sturdy in my roots of where and what I am.
From calm,warm breezes
To rain and wind and cold.
I stay sturdy in my place to grow
Many visitors along the way
Helping those that visit my smooth texture
And mabye help create life.
Sometimes being attacked by forces beyond me
But I stay strong and age with beauty
And as my life changes with the seasons
I hang on to my home with all my being
But the time comes as with all things
Time to let go
And as I do
I make my final decent to the earth below
And once again I am one with Mother Nature.

This Is the Day the Lord Gave

Here is the day The Lord gave.
Like every other day that was given before
Death, destruction,war and more
Suffering for some, struggle the same
May the day stay true to what life is
People, animals, suffer alike
Suicide bombers and genocide so rife

Murder, hunger, abuse and crime
Freedom fighters ,all, who have died in my time
Abandoned babies, and aids alike
Depression and drugs, abusers alike
This is the day The Lord gave
Yet this world has turned it's back,

No peace, or compassion, power and lust
Money and hunger are true to life.
Sickening humans who have no soul
Put here by satan to demolish us all
It may seem so, but it's untrue
The worlds gone crazy
In turn life becomes hazy
This is the day The Lord gave

How mistaking we are ,as a human race
Just look at the sky and clouds
You will see gods grace
And in between all the scum of the earth
Resides good souls, and a new rebirth

And as we cope with all that is real
The love for others, is what's really real
The beauty and faith surrounds us all
Nature and caring is easy to grasp
Forget the evil, it will never last

This is the day The Lord gave
Happiness, love, compassion and strength
Hills to climb, time well spent
Faith, overpowering all that is bad
Goodness and beauty, will be the last to stand.
My love for god is in the palm of my hand

It runs through me like an electric cord
Ecstatic jubilation and it's free for all
So take what's given unto us all
So much love to fill ones cup
This is the day The Lord gave

The bootcamp of life is destined for all
Cherish each day, it's guaranteed to end for all
Appreciate everything abound
Hard at times, you will be found
Because

This is the day The Lord gave.

Shortcomings Defeated

O, how I can irritate some, so many shortcomings.
There's more than one.
Smoking, drinking, my language can be foul.
The cracking of knuckles, at times lazy is found.
Depressive moods, no dishes will be done.
If looks could kill, by now I would of killed no one.

Because with all my flaws, as plenty as they seem.
My compassion and love, overrides all that is me.
So, as bad as I sound, you might be surprised.
My flaws are nothing, when you look deep inside.

I'm faithful and honest.
Will always have your back.
I will fight for you, and I won't look back.
So as for flaws, which flow plenty in me.
Once you get to know me, they will fade.
You'll see.

Poetry Soup

Poetrysoup, I am new to you.
The friendships I see, are genuine and true.

To join a place that's truly full of love
Gives me hope in the world
And the heavens above.

Such genuine people,are surely blessed
Thank you so much, for letting me join the nest.
May the poetry flow like the river Nile
I promise to go that extra mile.

So just to say thanks,to all of you
Who made my poetry feel meaningful and true.

Thank you.

Owl

Look left, look right, sitting in the cold of the night.associated with death, is an
old wives tale, just experiencing life, silent at times, only at times, my next meal
is playing over in my mind.im alone till I find my perfect mate, together we will
fly to find food for our great.im rarley seen, that's just my nature, an incredible
bird put forth into nature.i will soar the skies with unlimited freedom.may human
compassion take care of my future.my eyes and thoughts are all my own, away
from my nest, but not on my own.
