Gallina

The princess fair
Had not a care
And from party to party swung;
She revelled in
The good life's sin
And the notoriety that clung.

The princess then
Had many men
Who wooed and pledged their love,
But they looked beyond
The. Princess fond
The the power from above.

Then the solemn knell;
The old guard fell:
The princess hit the deep, dark depths.
Now she's all alone,
Her finery's gone,
Though her chandelier she's kept.

Now the princess is old,
Old flames are cold;
They find it easy to despise
This obnoxious crone:
Left on her own
She drinks to remember then cries.

The Kissed Words Hung

The kissed words hung, the suddenly dropped;
The bombshell landed, the beseiged heart stopped,
The halted breath in th winded lung,
The senses numbed until they stung,
The splintering pain of the shattering knock,
The quivering, shivering, shuddering shock,
The boiling, roiling rock in the gut,
The ties that bind irrevocably cut,
The savage cleaving into two from one,
The sinking of the spirit, the setting of the sun,
The gelatine limbs, the hows and whys,
The feeble attempts to disguise the lies,
The fizzing tears that render me blind,
The awesome, crushing weight off my mind.

Say Something

Say something?
I  would
If I only could.

Nothing
Very profound,
You understand; just
"Lie" and
"Ouch".

If only I could
I would
Say something.
