Mother

A mother carried you in her womb,
Her happiness moment is when you were born and she met you.
A mother is tender and nurtures you.
She does everything to take care of you.
A mother is your protector who keeps you out of harms way.
She worries about you night and day.
A mother is your supporter and inspiration.
She guides you in the right direction.
A mother is your comfort when you need an ear,
She is the only one who is true and dear.
A mother sets an example,
There is nothing too great for her to handle.
A mother's love is unconditional,
All the decisions she makes are rational.
A mother is valuable and strong,
Not afraid to tell you what's right when you're wrong.
A mother does everything to give you what you need,
She's there cheering you on to succeed.
A mother will always be your mother,
She is irreplaceable because you will never get another.
A mother goes over and beyond,
Nothing can come in between a mother and her child's bond.
A mother is truly a gift that needs to be appreciated,
She is the reason why you were created.
A mother would die for you,
She lives her life for you.
A mother sacrifices her wants for yours,
She is your own personal super hero and more.

A Day At the Beach

Imagine sitting in the sand at the beach,
The sand between your toes and just close
enough where the water can reach.
The sand is wet and a little cold,
You look out at the clear blue sky you see the
sun shining like a piece of gold.
You see dolphins jumping in the distance,
Glad that they're apart of existence.
You see a flock of seagulls soar,
You lay back and close your eyes listening to
the waves crashing onto the shore.
Smelling the salty water and the sun hitting
your skin,
The warm and comfort you feel within.
You hear kids as they laugh and play,
Smiling because today was a great day.

Power

Power is what runs everything,
Having control over a situation because you want to be the next king.
Power over your emotions so they don't become extreme,
Keeping your composer so you don't look weak.
Power over the money in the streets,
Wanting to be the boss is causing you greed.
Power over the people yellow, green, black, or white,
Leading us into oblivion because you think your way is right.
Power over a higher position on the totem pole,
Because changing things for the better is your goal.
Power over knowledge on who knows more,
Sometimes what you know can have you walking out the door.
Power over an organization,
Because you want to be the leader in a certain association.
Power over the judicial system,
Making the rules so no one else can change them.
Power over your religion,
Telling everyone that your way is the only way to believe in.
Power over another person's life,
If you don't do what they want, they can cause you strife.
Power over the business you own,
So your employees can say your the best owner they've ever known.
Power over what you say,
Making an impact on someone's life today.
Power over someone else's mind,
Treating them as your robot every time.
Power over your family,
Keeping them safe by doing whatever is necessary.
Power has caused many deaths,
But how many more lives will be taken no one knows yet.

I Try

I'm not perfect but I try,
Try to be the best and at times it hurts so much I cry.
The daily struggle to fight the battle within,
To absorb the positive and do away with the negativity,
But yet at times it's left me feeling so lonely.
All I can do is try to understand,
Be sympathetic and become a better woman.
Try to make you see that I appreciate you,
Show you that I love and care about you.
Try to show that even tho I'm not perfect my intentions are good,
By being there through everything just like I should.
Try to give you all you need,
Fighting the evil trying hard to succeed.
Try to be like no other that you've ever had,
Erasing all the pain from the ones who treated you bad.
Try and ease your mind from the worries and stress,
Show you how you are truly blessed.
Try to be the best sister and daughter that will make you proud,
So my light will shine through even standing in a crowd.
Try to meet the potential that I'm capable of having,
To have a brighter future without excess baggage.
Try to make the people I love happy because that's how much I care,
To be the run to girl when your life is in despair.
Try to right my wrongs before it's too late,
Hoping and praying that I'll be standing in line at the golden gate.
Try to fix my mistakes because Lord knows there's many,
By learning from the past and understanding fully.
Try to help the best way I know,
To be there always is what I try to show.
Try to mold the broken pieces and putting them back into place,
So I can be strong and do whatever it takes.
Try to have an open mind to another point of view,
To see things differently just for you.
Try to give it my best fighting through the blood, sweat, and tears,
Because I want to be better in the upcoming years.
Trying isn't easy it's a constant agony,
But I'm willing to go through it to become a better me.

Jealousy

Jealousy is like a disease that takes over your mind,
In your thoughts it's as if they've committed a crime.
Jealousy is a strong emotion,
Sometimes leaving you feeling broken.
It's because of someone's success or riches,
That cause you to act like a *****.
Some times it's from insecurities you have from your past,
Jealousy will make you do compare and contrast.
You feel like a ticking bomb about to explode,
Blood boiling in your veins, you can see it in your face because it shows.
Maybe someone is skinnier than you,
Jealously can make you do things you never intended to do.
Maybe someone has a nicer body than you,
That causes you to act brand new.
Your boyfriend might be looking at another girl,
You start acting like it's the end of the world.
Someone might have the car that you want,
You act stank then play it off acting all nonchalant.
Jealousy might be from fears,
Blowing things out of proportion making things become more severe.
Jealousy can make you become possessive,
At times makes you act aggressive.
Jealousy is like a demon trapped inside,
It can upset you and make you cry.
Jealousy can lead to trust issues,
Make you think your relationship is artificial.
Jealousy from your friend having a better man,
Realizing your life is some what less than.
Jealousy causes unhappiness,
Creating this unexplained darkness.
Jealousy makes you feel discontent,
At times needing someone to talk to so you can vent.
Being smart causes jealousy,
Weighing on your mind heavily.
Jealousy is a sudden rage,
It happens to people of any age.
Jealousy causes resentment,
Quick to pass judgement.
Jealousy is like your harboring a monster,
People assuming that you're some kind of imposter.
Jealousy can be controlled with trust,
All you need is real true love.

Pain I'Ve Endured

I have been lied to, cheated on, and verbally abused,
I have been heartbroken and used.
I have been second best when I thought I was first,
Goes to show you how little you're worth.
I have been attacked for no reason by another woman,
Because she was having sex with my man.
I felt like a fool for giving my whole heart,
To someone who only ripped it apart.
Mentally I'm damaged beyond repair,
Emotionally scarred from thinking they cared.
I had many tell me what they thought I wanted to hear to keep me around,
When I was at my lowest point they were the ones kicking me deeper into the ground.
I was depressed and felt all alone,
Still don't understand how people are cruel the reasons are still unknown.
The memories are still tainted til this day,
Wish all of the anger would go away.
I have a lot of issues I'm trying to work through,
People analyze me and criticize me when they don't even have a clue.
Doesn't matter how much you care about someone it's never enough,
Because they just used you as a stepping stone because they're life was tough.
Whatever they can get by with, they will do,
Assuring you that they loved you.
At times I second guess what is real,
Because that's the only way I know how to feel.
It left me feeling hopeless, like what's the point,
My whole body was hurting even my joints.
I was always the only one giving,
While they were steadily taking.
Just never understood how I could be treated this way,
That's why the past interferes with my present til this day.

Tears

At times we all need a good cry,
To let loose what's been bottled up inside.
A single tear is all it takes to release the hurt,
The tears give us some kind of comfort.
Just a single drop of water is all it takes,
To try and heal the wounds from a heartache.
A single tear can hold so much pain,
Misery or from happiness you've gained.
Fallen tears from the people we loved who've died,
The only thing we can do is cry,
Tears from moving on and saying goodbye,
The memories you shared and you're still asking yourself why.
Tears hold so many emotions,
Sometimes tears show what we fail to mention.
Tears are like waterworks that come pouring out,
Often we have to ask what you're crying about.
Tears cleanse the soul and ease the mind,
It helps to leave all the sadness behind.
Tears from being in love are great,
And for that there's no reason to debate.

My Superman

My Superman motivates me to do better,
He's the type to write love letters.
My Superman saved me from a life of misery,
All he wants is for me to be happy.
My Superman cares about how I feel,
His worry and concern is so real.
My Superman has my heart,
He trusts me even tho we are many miles apart.
My Superman is a hard working man,
He cares about others and helps them out the best he can.
My Superman is very strong,
He treats others the way they want to be treated by never doing them wrong.
My Superman has a lot of compassion,
That's why he's humble and you can tell by his actions.
My Superman hides no secrets from me,
He respects me enough to tell the truth no matter what it might be.
My Superman strives to give me everything l deserve,
Because he says I'm worth it .
My Superman touches my heart and makes me smile,
He makes everything worthwhile.
My Superman tries to conquer the world,
I'm so proud to be his girl.
My Superman has my back,
My compassion for him will never lack.
My Superman would give you his last dime,
With me by his side we'll always shine.
My Superman is very understanding,
My loyalty for him is everlasting.
My Superman opens up my mind,
He always gives me all of his
 time.
My Superman makes me feel so free,
That's why I'm lucky to have him and he has me.
My Superman is my superman only,
With him in my life I'm no longer lonely.
My Superman doesn't want anyone but me,
That's why what we have is meant to be.
My Superman gave the word love meaning,
He will always be the love of my life from now until the ending.

The Simple Things In Life

It's the simple things in life that matter,
Not walking around trying to flatter.
It's about the moments that take our breathe away,
That makes you want to stay.
We tend to forget about a kiss,
From the one you love when it's them you missed.
Express your feelings by making them a card,
Let them know that their heart you'll always guard.
Watch a movie with your love,
We don't have to go out to a bar or club.
Cuddle up on a cold day talking about everything,
While your heads on their chest listening to their heart beating.
We don't need a mansion or castle,
Just too much of a hassle.
We don't need to buy an island,
We don't need all the riches and diamonds.
A compliment to make their day,
Because you love them in so many ways.
Give them a hug when they're sad,
I bet it will make them glad.
All I ask for is some attention,
From my man that understands passion.
A picnic in the park,
Just to keep that spark.
A bubble bath to show you care,
That's how you make your love aware.
We don't need a lexus or benz,
Just love that's real not pretend.
Making your girl feel like she's important,
Like she's needed and wanted.
Make her favorite dinner one night,
Candles lit sets the mood just right.
Stop wasting time on fashion,
Because in his eyes you're the most beautiful thing he'd ever imagine.
A good husband a place to call home,
So after a long day at work where your love can roam.
A home where we can have our kids and start our own family,
Where we can both live forever happily.
