War

I DREAMT I WAS IN A WAR
FIGHTING IMAGINARY BULLETS
SOME OF THEM WERE REAL
SOME OF THEM GOT THE PEOPLE DOWN
AND SOME OF THEM I'D FEEL
SOME OF THEM WENT THROUGH MY HEAD
NOW SOME OF THEM WON’T HEAL

IN THIS WAR
I SAW A PRESIDENT
THAT MADE US CALL HIM BOSS
WE USE TO SEE HIM ON TV
IN WESTERNS GETTING SHOT
NOW HES GETTING OLD
HE CALLED US TO BE FREE
THEN SENT US TO A GREAT WAIST LAND
TO FIGHT INSANITY

IN THIS WAR,
I SAW A LITTLE CHILD
WHO GAVE ME SUCH A GIFT
SHE TOOK ME BY THE HAND
AND THEN SHE BLEW US BOTH TO BITS

THE PEOPLE LAUGH ON THE OTHER SIDE
TILL THEIR CHILDREN DIE
THEY CRY INSIDE, NO MORE
AND BURY THEIR HEAD
IN A HOLEY BOOK OF WAR
THEY NEVER QUESTIONED WHY
THEY NEVER SAW HIM DIE
THEY NEVER SAW THE SHATTERED MAN
COME BACK HOME INSIDE.

Nothing Is Ever Gone

Nothing is ever gone, there is only change.
There comes a time in all our lives for the final change.
The transition from our glorious lives to the spirit world.
For some this time comes sooner than others,
and our miss-understanding of this time causes us pain.
So rejoice for they who have lived!
For they came and breathed the air and smelt the fragrance of life
and tasted both the foods of thought and of substance.
Through their eyes saw the colours of life,
and through their ears heard the symphony of sound.
Most of all they came and felt the warmth in our hearts of love
and nothing is ever gone.

Life

Night moves over ocean
Vapor trails the sky
The moon sets full
then cuts in half
and stars fill the night
The forest is kissed
by the poring rain
and the smell
brings me back to
from where I came.

Love Train

When our hearts connect with someone even if it is for just a short while,
that impression on our heart is there for eternity.
It is usually our human conditioning that buckles our love and sometimes throws us off track.
So for all our buckled tracks and derailed loves of past we should give thanks for the moments we have shared.
To all of you that have stayed straight and true, us derailed love trains bow to you!

Robots of the Dawn

A clear night in the winter,
leaves frost on the grass in morn,
and in the mist the moving shadows
are the robots of the dawn

A hundred and twenty horses
fuming in the air
they're driven by their masters
don't breathe for cancer fear
With graveyard business booming
and shadows on the lawn
Tears flow form their silhouettes
for the robots of the dawn

Chorus
I'm calling Rise up in the morning
I'm calling rise up rise and ride
I'm calling rise up life I'm calling
I'm calling rise up time to fly

Their bodies old and frail
they've worked for fifty years
with hammers hitting nails
and breathing morning air
Now I call for morning silence
and I call for woman scorn
Now I call for the old man rising
with the robots of the dawn

Chorus
I'm calling Rise up in the morning
I'm calling rise up rise and ride
I'm calling rise up life Im calling
I'm calling robots time to die

The Challenge of Our Awakening

Cast into a blanket of darkness
and removed from our infinite existence,
we are born unawake!
Our challenge for enlightenment has now begun!
A fragility that is magnified by this shaking earth!
The opposing nature of love.
We have come to know as fear.
A task once more to fill our empty hearts.
Unfamiliar, we start to question that
which we have never questioned before.
The tree that we saw once sheltered us.
We wonder now, will it fall on us?
The structure that use to keep us from the storm.
We wonder now, will it be our tomb?
We fight to remember we are safe.
We are here, we are now, and we are alive.
We kiss this moment of darkness
to appreciate more the light.
We love once more!
This land, this life and this moment,
for our very small time to rent.
