Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
A first day on Soup is filled with much awe
The wonderful poems will make you smile
Easy is it to fall for all
Some enabled my mind, lingering a while
Just the few Soupers I mention here
Will blow you away with works of this year!
Janet Cervenka almost made us lust
When she penned a piece on Heavenly's bust
Marvelous is the diversity of Jan Allison
Such a dressed gem, and she's only blooming
Nandita then tells us that she's no Jan
Indeed her craft is paralleled by none
Man! the lyrics never cease to flow for Dave
So highly endowed with a skill many crave
You see, my first day on Soup I was greeted by SKAT
Who so humbly laid down the welcome mat
And if there exist a bond no man can put asunder
I have to say it's between SKAT and Linda
O! How can I forget 'Half of A Heart'
A Sara Kendrick special, such design and art!
Who better to mend our Broken Wings
Than the namesake with a quill in full swing
Yes Soupers always brighten my days
Place me in velds full of beautiful haze
And there I spot a Mystic Rose
Defined so uniquely like a Kim Nunez prose
From a consummation a lover was denied
To the hautiness of a lonely man's pride
Whatever we plan to glimpse or scoop
We tend to leave with more from Soup

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
The days draw ever closer with my imminent need to leave
With promises to keep and goals to achieve
My ultimate desire is to disappear
But mighty are the binds that keep me here
And so I sat down to write a song
About this place where I could belong
My nirvana, my world and art
Where every little craze tickles my heart
I wish upon a star that is too far
Hoping for a yearn that makes me churn
For this I will strive night and day
To find this place, so I pray

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
This armed cherub
In diapers, with arrows
This winged archer
is set upon our meadows
Yet only time will tell
If he comes bearing,
God's greatest gift
Or leaves us smitten
and gawking at some girl...

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
Today, my heart heaves a heavy weight
Why, O! Why?
The soul crushing goodbye
Fervently I pray,
To see you just one more day
We part ways knowing it not our last
Looking ahead, thinking of our next
But Death, too grotesque, had other plans;
My burden to bear!
Why this painful news,
Only God knows
Someone please!
Wake me from this dream
A cold, unfathomable abyss
That I never want to revisit
We bow our head in sadness
And bury our faces in distress
My heart full of pain resonates its tears
If only, If only
We could haggle out of our demise
Gone too soon
The sheer disbelief
The promises you vowed to keep
Goals to reach before you finally sleep
You may be no more but not in my mind
Still here with me
If only I can see
A staked heart, resounding unbound tears
Forget you not; to miss you a lot
Lost souls, forgotten families
Never to me
Good tales we've heard
From generations long and dead
The happy ending cliche
For your soul, I pray
Here our fate! separated by worlds
While I wait
For the powers that be, to bide us again one day
But more, for in mere simplicity
I will never say goodbye
Forever with me,
My brother, my blood
In Loving Memory of our Lost Souls

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
,
In no fewer words can I explain
the aura of lithe this lady contain
from witty banter to affectionate touch
her gracious presence only missing a blush
True, it's been a while since we were ourselves
but at least it gave me time to reflect on you
in anxious times when you calmed our nerves
and the nightly chats, those I treasure too
Though it seems I tender not a hearty soul
and times I keep much more than I show
within these words I wish you will find
how highly a friend I esteem you in mind
Till I find others so true
all my nights shall be dreams of you ,

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
Once upon a time, I used to be you.
In my misdemeanor I fell out of your love.
Now you are quick to judge, but you don't know me.
In your silence, you wish me away.
Invoking ancient curses, praying I stray.
Tiny streams of tears roll down my prematurely withered cheeks.
Tattered clothes I salvage from dumpsters
Days gone by since I had a meal
Even longer since I saw the inside of a bathroom
Am I a son of the Land?
Will you show me any kind?
My grief resounds no mercy
I am, but one, in a land of many
O! lethal fate, pangs of anguish and strife
Here, I lay holding on to dear life
Once I had it all, I was homed
Nature's calamity left me doomed
A past so rosy, full of kind
Trapped in the deep embers of my mind
I walk the streets without a clue
This place of love; never true
Ah! what crime!
Wicked, is the wheel of time.
I have embraced misfortune
And felt the smile of pain
Your pity, I seek not,
Nor your assets.
Rather A consummation fervently wished
That you see me not with those Eyes of Repugnance.
For Once upon a time, I used to be you.

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
Three waves blew past
My two arms stretched wide
With one word in my head: Haven!
And to you alone shall I confide
The tide brought a whisper to my ear
"A simple pleasure I give to you, my dear"
An uphill steep each man is forced to climb
And atop that mount is a rare moment of daze
When you glimpse your Pain lamenting below
And feel the breeze brushing at your face
Empty your mind but don't shut it close
To the simple pleasures under the mountain's nose
The rigors of life may yet sink you low
Deep down away from the starlit skies
But twirling and curling in the open meadow
Are vivid blossoms pleasing to thy eyes
Down in the velds also, that beautiful haze
These simple pleasures often elude my days

Wilfred Aniagyei Poem
Seated in a corner to my left
Were travellers who appeared to be deaf
I knew not who these men were
And their purpose I have no true care
Slung over his shoulder, one rose to aim
At the conductor amassing her claim
Tut-tut! Bullets marched, making peace with her neck
In desperate haste, Les masses went berserk!
With my mind acquiese and body nervy
The prospects ahead were quite scary
Two more to the roof...tout l'argenterie clattered
An untimely error by my fidgety created
In the quiet of my carrel, three breaths from sight
A sheer bystander in another man's malice
Scribbling my death song away from the fright
To recount, mon amour why we will never have Paris
But before the end of this lengthily horror and me
In merest simplicity and pitiful hope
My dearest Naina, should this get to thee
I pray the heavenlies will make us a new home
