Elya-Destiny Wren Poem
Black foggy darkness swallowing me whole
enveloping me in madness I can't seem to control
dripping smoothly down my throat it stings
horrible grotesque aftertaste it brings
clamping tighter can't breathe, lungs burst
grasping the lasting soul dream to quench my thirst
plunging head first I tear through asunder
crashing off these empty walls like sharp lighting and thunder
light breaks, a dawn thrust forth and born again
Ascending I break the surface towards the sky
a blue and white rhapsody of ribbons floating by
sparkling droplets shimmer in my eyes
i awaken, my dream has ended.

time is a shadow
that follows us around
some choose to ignore it
others they bow down
the clock like a beacon
an image of sorts
wakes us up
and gets all kinds of retorts
ticking and tocking, clanging away
keeping the world's rhythym
till the end of the day
then continuing on
many years have gone
ticking and chimeing
sounding a Bong!
time moves on
the world changes
time is consistent
flowing like a river
our companion.
