Your Smile

Your smile

 ever so bright

 and right

 Lights up the gloom

 in my life

 Your smile so bright,

 tender and soothing.

 in my mind eyes

 Your smile

 so pure, innocent and endearing

so intense and warm, leaves me in a whirl in passion

 Your smile,

 sometime fleeting like a butterfly

 romance with petals.

 Your smile ever permanent

always threatening to break the surface

races my pulse pulling me through

 a long forgotten part

pulling ,me through a long forgotten trail

the part of memory long submerged

 Your smile

 wiped away my sorrows

 like the early morning sun

licking up the early dew drop

make your smile a permanent feature of me

and inspire me with undying joy

Ode To Karissa

As I watch you sleep
It reminds me of what I cannot lay claim to
A past long forgotten in the deepest recess of my mind
A Peace so profound I could not fathom
I strive so hard to remember how it felt
I struggled for a glimpse of the childhood long lost
But all I can come up with is dust.

As I watch you stretch your pudgy hand
I tried to recollect what being a baby is like
I struggled for the glimpse of the childhood long lost
But memory failed me
Your cute grunt warms my heart
Your tiny face expressive even in your sleep,
Gives me the purest joy.

As I watch you sleep
I ponder the world you inhabit
Who really can know the world you inhabit
Who knows the dream you dreamt
My cute baby, the world I promise you not
But a beautiful life is God’s promise
My tiny cute bundle of joy,

As I watch you sleep,
With all the cry and grunts,
The sleepless night taunts
The constant diaper changing,
I will never trade my little buddle,
Sleep tight, my daughter Carissa and let me
Watch your face my little bundle

Jump At Me

Jumps at me
The love is immense
I could feel it in the smiles
The flash of 2 teeth & empty gums
Means more to me than
The broadest toothy smiles

I know you miss me
Maybe not as much as a brother you lost
I know you wanna shout it .rather,
Your jump at me makes it more pungent and nostalgic
Your pudgy hands raised high for a toss in the air
Is all the conviction I need

I look forward to seeing you
My mind travels 1000 miles every day
To connect with your innocent welcome smiles
Words are needed even if not voiced
The flash of 2 teeth & empty gums
Tells me all I need. You miss me as much as I do

He jumps at me
His smiles lit my world.
What secret do you hold in your crystal clear eyes?
That you would have been 2? doctors told us.
Yet one of you gives me the joy of 2
You met him/her, we never did.

He Jumps at me and the jump is all I need
I know you wanna tell the story. keep the story.
You make us whole
The wise one
The music
The Joy-Zamir

Loneliness

A forlorn and lovelorn life, so true,
Unrequited love, what can I do?
Despair and loneliness, my constant friends,
Occupying my heart, till the bitter end.

You were my home, my one true place,
A warm embrace, a smiling face,
But now you're gone, and I am lost,
Traversing the ocean, at what cost?

I'm like a ship without a rudder, adrift,
My heart in a rift, a constant shift,
Alas, you will never come back to me,
Leaving me with just memories, can't you see?

I shut my eyes, to forget your grace,
But your memory runs in my veins, a trace,
Like blood, like the river Nile, so strong,
Carrying me on, an endless journey so long.

So let me dream, in my sweet nightmare,
Where you are here, and my heart is fair,
Where love and happiness reign supreme,
And loneliness is just a distant dream.

I await your presence again
of course, it will end in pain
My sweet nightmare
My darling sweet nightmare

The Road To My Past

There is in my mind a lane
A place I blocked with a pane
Alas all the Keys & locks
with all the mental blocks

I sneaked back to take a peep
I ended up taking a sip
My memory, a place I live.
Now moved afar by vagaries of life

Today, a sip became a bath....

Nasya

A baby's birth, a tale to tell,
Of a day when riots rocked the land.
Hoodlums and fire, chaos befell,
As Nasya's arrival was at hand.

Her mother, anxious, in labour pain,
With fear for her life and the baby's too.
To the hospital, she did remain,
But the journey there, a dangerous road to pursue.

The gas station burned beside the place,
Where doctors would bring life to the earth.
But transportation gone without a trace,
So they trekked, with their medical gear's worth.

No baby food to nourish the child,
In a world so filled with strife.
Yet the doctors worked, with hearts so mild,
And brought Nasya safely into life.

A story of love and hope untold,
In a time when chaos rules the day.
A mother's strength, a baby's hold,
A reminder that peace will come someday.
