Loneliness

A forlorn and lovelorn life, so true, Unrequited love, what can I do? Despair and loneliness, my constant friends, Occupying my heart, till the bitter end. You were my home, my one true place, A warm embrace, a smiling face, But now you're gone, and I am lost, Traversing the ocean, at what cost? I'm like a ship without a rudder, adrift, My heart in a rift, a constant shift, Alas, you will never come back to me, Leaving me with just memories, can't you see? I shut my eyes, to forget your grace, But your memory runs in my veins, a trace, Like blood, like the river Nile, so strong, Carrying me on, an endless journey so long. So let me dream, in my sweet nightmare, Where you are here, and my heart is fair, Where love and happiness reign supreme, And loneliness is just a distant dream. I await your presence again of course, it will end in pain My sweet nightmare My darling sweet nightmare
