Crying In the Rain

Crying in the Rain
Lurking behind the curtain of world war ;
You cheer to a Monday Night Raw;

Dancing to the melody of anarchy;
You close your senses to impending waterloo,

Completely deaf to the screams of mother earth
Who is subdued by industrial rape; she echoes dearth...

Forlorn sky weeps on; threatening oxygen depletion at the detriment of ocean life.
Father sun rages on; amidst earth's strife...

Refugee camps replace loving homes;
And mats replace comforting foams

Chibok continues to wail for her missing daughters;
As valiant khakis rummage the forest of Sambisa...

The mantra of change echoes on amidst chains:
As a fraction of the world cry in the rain...

Flora and fauna looks on in docility,
As humanity continue to dance to the melodies of calamity.

Gloomy Soldiers

Eyes like cynthia's brow
starin beyond the cloud
in a ruminative refine gaze
indelliblely staring skyward

the men of the shadow deviced it
like a rustling of a dry leaf
He has rustled up,
and cross the rubicon....

Man is now cruel..
Man is bestial and blustery
Man is now a canal beast..

O why ar you so cruel?
Even to the unguilty
Yes! He was not a hood
you take even the unguilty
when ravening like a wild beast...
For who to take next
In this gloomy world...

For Granny

A SONNET FOR MY GRANNY
My northern star
To the stars you belong
You were the brightest of all stars
The fairest of all
Your illumination would have quench
The burning furnace

My precious sapphire
The jewel in the heart
Of Ibesikpo Asutan
The one whose glance
Cools the hottest fire
I wish i were the sun, shinning at you
I wish I were the moon looking back at you

Fellowship

1st Cor 15:33
" Be not deceived: evil communication corrupts good manners."

Warring with worldly whims
Wooed by painful pleasures
Surrounded by foes and fiends
Posing as mentors and friends.....
I have stumbled and rumbled in vices
Destructive to my wellness
In this the comforter was silenced
For in vices not in virtues it suffers.....
I mingled and dined with Ahithophel and Jonadab
Their counsel placed me in darkness, as it intensified in my heart..

In humility and obedience,
My clothing were turned to wool.
In fellowship I met Jonathan and Ruth
And they fed me with Galatian fruits
In this my being became nourished....
In their counsel I became a victor.
1st Cor. 15:33

Andy Meets Sandy

Andy meets Sandy
Sitting among the crowed of workers
Awaiting the arrival of his Excellency
The executive governor of the promise land
The promise keeper;

I beheld angel, with a dark brown eyes
Conspicuously hidden among the crowd
I was overwhelmed by the beauty of her dark brown eyes
She looked so pretty and angelic as she stared beyond the crowd;

When I couldn’t take it again, I moved to her side.
Her dark brown hair shone in the sun light,
Her skin was soft as the velvet clothe
When I asked her name, she said sandy in a sweet melodious voice.

O sandy, don’t leave my side, don’t leave me alone,
O sandy I love you..... Don’t leave me alone.
Have got a big heart that can fill your love.
As long as I live I will always love you....

As she leaves my side to meet her friend,
I wrote her a love panegyric poem
I panegyrize Sweet sandy,
Then she collected the poem and wrote thank you Andy.
				For; Sandy Joy

Perspective

He say;
Can a man bear all his burden in a day?
While his salty sweat tastes bitter.
He swims in nightmares when he hits the hay,
And wakes up hoping his life becomes better.
She say;
What sweet-sorrow follows my child birth.
That tore me apart and made me hate the day,
It's a curse that caught me as a dragnet
And turned my youth into a tale of yesterday.
He say;
A man's life is laden in ironies
He tramples the earth but feed from therein
He works sitting, standing and on his knees
He prays for good harvest to set in.
She say;
Womanhood is tied to the heart.
And that heart she gives to that man,
To nurture and treasure like a piece of art
To keep it forever only if he can.
He say;
Will sweat ever dry from his face?
From life's hassles cometh respite?
Can he hold strong and keep his pace?
He certainly needs a hand to climb a new height.
She say;
That hand I offer to you,
Who am I when my better piece is in despair?
The heart is yours for the right thing to do,
But please don't smear it beyond repair.

Menace Rules

Marauding terror, terrorizing toddlers,
Evil has a face covered with vicious attire.

Nihilism is propagated on the podium of religiosity,
Adversity advances unabated by diversity.

Conflicting ideologies kindled by power drunks;
Engaging in power plays, parading as monks...

Resonance of sombre cries,
Unleashing downpours on the savannah plains
Leaving the tares to blossom by sunrise;
Evil continues to reign unrestrained,
Sustained by the docility of the masses....

On the menace called Boko Haram..

Inexorable Amity

The wind is strong, the sky so gray,
The storm seems not to abate,
Your heart embarks on peril voyage
o! he falls into the abyss of disarray

The storm is great, the dust forms cloud
The dust is like a vibrant ocean tide
The heart is in the heart of Sahara
o! she sees an oasis afar

Having a genuine and candid pal
Amidst this ferocious weather
Is like drinking a cold water
In the heart of Sahara

With them, our hearts are mended.
Like the celestial Angels,
they hold us up when
our wings are broken

Solitary Heart

Solitary Heart
Once in a lonely quiet night
As the stars twinkle in the sky
And the moon crawls to her bed in the sky
There sat a lonesome heart
On a craggy choppy rock
Indulging in reminiscence
Of it lost rib, then the memory
Of her face begun to glow in it room
Like an early morn scintillating sun

Then came a mellifluous chanting
By a sky lark’s warble
Blended with the noble singing of a nightingale’s
As it try to conciliate his soul.

The lonesome heart looks up to the nocturnal birds
On the tree bed
And then said to them
“o fair lovely little birds”
“o fair lovely little birds”
“how delightfully sweet you sing”
They both stared at each other erratically
And the birds made a ciao! ciao! sound
And then flew up afar
Into the bright gloomy sky .
