Sharon Swenson Poem
One spring night,
Just for fun,
I rode the crescent moon.
Then left her below to gaze on me,
As I soared miles high
In the still starlit laughing
Spring air!

Sharon Swenson Poem
The crushed glass candle flickers to life,
As Autumn dusk glows through my window.
Geese arrows fly breathless through many
Bare limbed mazes as the flame slowly dies.
Now all that's left for me to know is
The sidewalk is hushed and the loon's call cries.

Sharon Swenson Poem
The cardinal's valley that morning,
A flutter, then stillness, combined,
the urge to perch on a hugh rough stone,
Myself, and a friend of mine.
Such brilliance and laughter that morning!
We spoke of dreams and dares.
And basked in the music of red birds,
As a new sun fired the air.

Sharon Swenson Poem
I a lowly gentle moss,
Molded tightly to my tree,
Feel the morning's breathless wind
That cannot move me.
Licken licks here at my side,
We are a brave, young greenery pair.
We cozy down here, watching, waiting,
Home near the fairy stairs.

Sharon Swenson Poem
She sits surrounded
By the romance of roses.
Close to being great,
A lady, at last.
On the milky viranda,
Along the perrfume path,
Like the dew drenched flower,
Reposed and waiting.
