Good Bye

Good bye my old friend
The time has come to part
And we no longer walk together

Good bye my old friend
We must go separate ways
Our path has split in two

Good bye my old friend
I can no longer stay
We must find our own ways

Good bye my old friend
The world never waits
And destiny always has a say

Celestial Lullaby

Listen to the lullaby of the stars
As the symphony of the sunset
Shifts to the ballet of the twilight.

The stars dance across the sky
While the lunar spotlight shines on
Lyra as she strikes her harp and sings
Her sweet song, echoes through the night.

The world soundly sleeps in quite peace
As the celestial lullaby quietly comes to a close
As the golden rays of light peek over the horizon.

The stars silently fade as the sunrise waltz plays out
And begins the bright ensemble of daylight
That beckons the to the waking earth
Until the night plays its soft lullaby once again.

Take a Moment

I watch the world scurry past
Everyone in need for speed
Do they never slow down
Or stop to smell the roses
Of early summer and spring

If we could take a second
From all of our busy lives
We might see something
 That is extraordinary
A miracle of life might be happening

If we can just take a break
from all the work we do
and do a night of stargazing
and if we are lucky
we might see a shooting star or two.

Why don’t take a moment
To see what you can see
Listen to the music nature plays.
The world is amazing

Silence Is For

Silence is for the missing,
The sad, the lonely, the pained.

Silence is for the sturdy,
The quiet, the hopeful, the hurt

Silence is for the fighter,
The strong, the loyal, the brave.

Silence is for the soldier,
For those who gave their lives,
To serve, to protect, to guide.

War of the World

A shot rings out as a kick off
To an unneeded and pointless war.
What started as a small dispute,
Turned into a war greater than ever before.

But before all of this began
Countries fear for themselves
And stocked piled weapons on shelves
Each weapon gained the others bought more.

Alliances only pushed things further
Dragging other in countries
As allies are recruited
To aid each warring party.

Then, imerpialism came to play
Groups join others to whom the feel loyal
And picked up arms to join the others.
Feeling duty bound to join the game.

Last but not least, nationalism was sought.
Be patriotic, and join the fight
It’s the only honorable way.
Live or die, it is just the same.

For what was the purpose of seeking petty squabble?
To stain the earth with the senselss deaths of millions?
Put down your weapons, give up the war.
Whats the point of fight when you don't know what you fight for?

Ripples

People are like ripples,
Running across the lake.
No matter how hard you try,
You can’t catch them,
And keep them in one place.

People are like ripples,
Drifting across the lake.
Despite all your efforts
You can’t hold them close
And keep them next you.

People are like ripples
Reaching across the lake,
They become distant memories
Echoing in my mind,
Creating a sweet, bitter taste.

Winter

A vast land of white
that sparkles in the sunlight
clean, crisp serenity

Apathy

I sit with an apathetic reaction
The roar of sound that surrounds me
A white noise of constant chatter
I hear laughter, I hear crying
But I still sit in my never ending apathy

In my apathy I still remain
In the gray wall room
That protects me from feelings
No emotion can break through
My apathetic room

I watch with my apathetic indifference
Observing the emotional
I see all the sadness, heartache and pain
As people lose to emotions they have gained
So I locked away my feelings till only apathy remained

With my apathy I made a little box
Where I stuffed all my feelings
All the love and the joy
The sorrow and pain
So in my apathy, I’ll never lose, never gain

Mistake

A path of endless sorrow
paved by the destruction in my wake.
I can see no bright, beautiful tomorrow
that's not a kind of future I make.

An ocean of endless tears
flowing from the hearts the cry out in pain.
Their anguished cries bring forth my inner fears
which drag me under with a dark heavy chain.

A tale of endless woe
full heartaches and immorality.
These are the seed I sow
grown by my faulty personality

Memories of endless regret
the ones that can't simply be erased.
I promised I would never forget,
all the lives I have disgraced.

The ashes of a finished flame
extinguished by my devastating crime.
Before, it was all a sick little game
but now, I'm completely out of time.
