Loss of a Loved One

The loss of a loved one
Is like the loss of a part of us
We feel so dry we won't be move
We cry so loud, we won’t be heard,

But all of this won’t bring them back.

We can try so much to cope with it
We bottle them up, till we crack.
They eat us up like ulcer
We feel so cold as though we are numb.
But all of this won’t bring them back.

We can hide behind this and feel terrible
We hurt all those that come so close
We cry and yell and feel unloved.
We try in vain to forget our world.
But all of this won’t bring them back.

In the midst of this we will lose something
That one we lost can cause us more
But if we free our mind and hold ourselves
A great lesson we will learn
That one we lost, many we will gain.
Yet, all of this won’t bring them back.

If you lose someone, or lost something
Don’t neglect those you have around.
If you get cold and drift away
You will feel bad and still feel hurt.
But all of these won’t bring them back.

Song of Love

I will do the exaggeration game for you.
Speak with hyperbole that cannot be matched.
Decorate you with words like royal apparel,
Paint your heart with words of love,
Do unbelievable things for you,
I hope my love to make you mine.

I will sing you songs; I will sing it aloud,
I will cross the seven seas for you.
Go on an Odyssey just like Jason
And bring you back the Golden Fleece.
Despite all these I won't be proud
Just to show you I want you as mine.

I have a feeling that won’t be enough
I will crawl many miles to kiss your hands
Trek the desert to burn my hatred,
So that all in me is love for you.
I will sing a song that has not been sang
To woo you my love and keep you as mine.

I will do the exaggeration game for you,
A thing of joy I won't regret.
I will do everything to make you smile,
A life of bliss we will enjoy.
As water is to a thirsty soul,
So is your love to me, my pretty one.

Treat Her Right - Be a Man

You left the best to meet the rest,
The best you left is now a gem.
I washed and watched to see her grow,
Now the world as seen her glow,
You turned around to steal my show.

You left your best in the lurch,
All she wanted was your touch,
I listened and attended to her fears,
Now she trust and breathe fresh air.
You turned around to take a glare.

You told your best she was a fool,
While her love for you was full,
I made her felt like she was a star,
Treated and loved her without a scar,
Now that she loved me from afar
You turned around to threaten her.

You had your chance to keep your best,
It happened to be that you were a pest,
Brought to her life to build a nest,
You had the chance but failed the test.
Now we feel so warm and proud,
All you can do is be a man.

Let your hope to return be gone.
Because my love for her is strong.
I will live my life to be her song.
Like words of praises on her tongue,
Watch us as we go forever young,
Next time you come across a queen,
You will never forget to be a man.

Life

Life, life, life

So many people confused about its clarity
Chasing the wind, not knowing its vanity.
They do this to destruction with stupidity.
How can we stop this insanity?
People trying to defy gravity
Always amassing, and never thinking of charity.

Well I am not a fan, nor care for popularity
I want to make a mark,
and not just be hailed like a celebrity.
Yeah, I want to be proud of my nationality,
Would like to have an impact on my locality,

Though I know its vanity,
I want to live it in its entirety.
Singing praises to the heavenly,
Till the day I’ll leave this earth to eternity.

Life, Life, Life.......

A lot that I see that makes it beautiful,
The flowers and trees they make it colorful.
The rivers, the ocean, the seas, make it wonderful.
The birds, they sing and fly make it joyful.

Because I want to see more of this I became prayerful,
So as not to lack, I became dutiful.
It breaks my heart to see tears, so I became merciful.
I stand aloof, in solitude, to get a chance to be thoughtful.
In all his I praise Jehovah, and I am thankful.
To the beat I dance and I am cheerful.
Don’t take it for granted I beg you.

If you are wise, you’ll be careful.
I know you are bitter, and tend to be vengeful,
Look at the sky, the sea, the birds they’ll calm you.
Whether you are good or bad, the sky will shed tears on you.
The seas wash your feet and cares not who you are.
If you so appreciate me, so says life,
Don’t hold on to pain for too long.
Free your mind from pain,
There is more to life, than just faking up reality.

End of An Era

The clash of the titans
The head galloped like an elephant
Who knows not that he is finished
The river sets its course.
Would not be denied its right.
Yet a man will stand for nothing.

The thinking faculty seems faulty,
Even the packaged stories too salty.
Who else thinks they are just naughty.
The grass that surrounds the iroko tree says it’s haughty.
Yet they seem to claim holiness.

A new forest seems to be gathering.
It looks like mere seedlings.
But the pace seems to gather momentum.
The grass awaiting its time
None knows where the pendulum will be swinging.
The old or the new?
Hear the beats, the warriors are drumming.

An empire about to crumble,
The proud soon will be humble
Their ideology will wobble and fumble
Watch out how they will fall and tumble
Alas, we will soon experience a royal rumble
The battle in the jungle.
Hmmm!! Soon, a crumbling castle.

Hope in the air, its Eureka
It is here, its clear, it won't be far
They will take their share and thank their stars.
It is a warfare that will make or mar
The old wine, will birth new ones
Never to be kept from broad day light.
But fresh wines in new jars.

Truly end draws near.

Sanguine

I am a sanguine,
She calls me penguin.
I am not a flirt
I am not a bird
But I eat sardine.

I am a sanguine,
So I don't need aspirin
Because I smile
And worry for a while
I can't have mi-grin.

I am a sanguine,
I can't play the violin.
That is not the end of me,
If you can do the drumming,
I will dance to the tambourine.

I am a sanguine,
I talk like a machine.
If you do not listen well,
You will think I speak Mandarin

I am a sanguine,
I have read about Oleifins
Somethings about paraffin.
As playful as I am,
I do not read with caffeine.

I am a sanguine,
I drill like machine
I don't need enhancement
Because I will take you to the firmament,
If you want to prove me wrong
You need to feel my serpentine.

The Pain-Joy Sandwich

Let this cup pass me by
That is what they cry aloud
In that turbulent state
The wall tearing apart
You will almost want to cry

There is this urgency
The hand must move with care
Sweet words are needed here
Sometimes some hard words fly
As energy is been dispensed

There is need to calm the nerve
Energy is needed
Strange words are getting out
"I won't do this again
If you see me through this"

As though it will never end
The walls have been torn apart
A force has been dispensed
A blessing comes through the wall
A victory cry is heard.

The nerves have now been calmed
There is laughter in the air
As if it wasn't a while ago
That we heard that loud cry
"Let this cup pass me by"

Out of the moon again
There is thought about another one.

Metamorphosis

I ran, I chased
On faces of mortals, I paced
Unbridled success, I sought
To the lips of men, I listened
Wickedness laden my star with dust
Releasing a dirty downpour
Borne of kwashiorkor
Bulging beacons of famine

Things ground to a halt
The future no longer sure
Confusion built its nest on me
Like a spider’s web spun around its prey
As I meandered away
Into the abyss of failure
Ardently, searched I for answers
Then came the day of the star
For in my quest, found I wisdom

Eyes opened! Success is in my DNA
As I settled in, Understanding set in
Ignorance bowed to the superiority of Information
The invite of light put darkness to flight
For the journey from unknown to certainty
Is first within, then without
If I can build the right habits
I’ll experience a bright destiny

Excellence in the little things
Will magnify in the big things
Delegation is a show of confidence
Not an admittance of Incompetence
Wealth is a mindset not paper-set
My path to financial heights
Lies in alleviating the people’s plight
For when the rubber meets the road
Leadership is simply about service

Behold! The gathering of Leaders
Designed to make our world better
The orientation has expired
Our minds yet perspire
Time is ripe for action
To help build a better nation
Birthing ideas to counter frustration
Bathing confusion with requisite solution

Leaders, we have received a gift
Which has consciously given us a lift
The race is not to the swift
But God on our behalf is swift
The world now desperately needs us
To make the shift.

A Loving Husband

She has to be my everything,
The epitome of my being,
The one that bears my name
That bore to life my seeds
She has to be my everything,
The one that complements me.

I think of her as I close my eyes,
rolled to the side and feel her touch.
My eyes open to the glory of her beauty,
Never will I want to see her cry.
She has to be my everything,
The one that my heart needs.

On those long journey I find myself,
I feel as though I am not complete.
because my better-half is not with me.
Times like that I miss her touch,
Her smell and thought lingers on me.
She has to be my everything
The one I can't do without.

She turns around and fold her arms,
With a mighty pouts that is so unreal.
She turns and swirls and shifts and sits,
And all I do is laugh.
She has to be my everything
The one that needs my love.

She has to be my everything,
This I can say aloud.
We fight, we smile, we play and act,
Yet she makes me feel so proud,
She has to be my everything
That is all I ask for.

Reality of Life

So many things happen in life,
Events beyond control,
Life is like a vapor
One second its here, the next it is gone.

Nobody wants to leave,
Yet we want an afterlife
It is but inevitable
One day we will surely go.

Events are planned ahead
Happenings will sure take place
It is not something new,
But the planner may not be there.

He was here in a moment
His presence was even felt.
But just like a dream,
He may be here no more.

Enjoy it while it lasts
Savor it while you are here
What you have got today,
Tomorrow might be gone.
