End of An Era
The clash of the titans
The head galloped like an elephant
Who knows not that he is finished
The river sets its course.
Would not be denied its right.
Yet a man will stand for nothing.
The thinking faculty seems faulty,
Even the packaged stories too salty.
Who else thinks they are just naughty.
The grass that surrounds the iroko tree says it’s haughty.
Yet they seem to claim holiness.
A new forest seems to be gathering.
It looks like mere seedlings.
But the pace seems to gather momentum.
The grass awaiting its time
None knows where the pendulum will be swinging.
The old or the new?
Hear the beats, the warriors are drumming.
An empire about to crumble,
The proud soon will be humble
Their ideology will wobble and fumble
Watch out how they will fall and tumble
Alas, we will soon experience a royal rumble
The battle in the jungle.
Hmmm!! Soon, a crumbling castle.
Hope in the air, its Eureka
It is here, its clear, it won't be far
They will take their share and thank their stars.
It is a warfare that will make or mar
The old wine, will birth new ones
Never to be kept from broad day light.
But fresh wines in new jars.
Truly end draws near.
