The Serpent

I am the one who once traveled by flight and foot
And now I slither around on my round-body
My tongue has always been and still is split in half
In my first stage of life my speeches consisted of fire-bursts, ice-shards, smoke rings, and whirling-wild-winds
Now my speeches are speedy rollings-of-the-tongues and a-spitting venom-filled saliva
Horned was I back in the days after I had hatched out of my egg
Now my mushroom-like head consists of my eyes, my nostrils, and my ears
Once I had massive teeth to help me emasculate my food
And now I must swallow all of my food whole
Many primitive cultures have used me as a symbol for both good and evil
I symbolize the Morning Star, and have been blessed with many different names
Nevertheless, I am worshiped by many cultures of mankind as a powerful being
I am the Light-Bringer, and the Knowledge-Bringer to mankind and am similar to Prometheus
I seduced Eve to bite the apple in order that she may have knowledge and become like Yahweh
I am also Quetzalcoatl, the revered sky god of the Aztecs
Without the symbolism that mankind has placed upon me I am nothing more than a plain reptile

Zerk the Berserk

Zerk was a lurking berserk
who lived in the murky-murk of the cirque
by the smirking Turk
Zerk was irking a-jerkin’ and a draught of perkin
Zerk was a-joying his shirker’s approach towards work
Zerk was a-starking, a-barking, and a-marking the world with his dirk
Zerk was a-perking for a-harking about bo-razzle and bo-really fools
Zerk was a-quirking, an abundance of uncorking bottles, un-forking sustenance,
            and un-storking women
Zerk was not a follower of any kirk
Zerk was a-hoping to clerk for an irksome and biased hipster jerk
Zerk was always a-hanging out with his friends Breschel, and Lurch
Zerk contributed his artwork to the world,
Zerk was by no means a berk, instead he was quite the intellectual quirk
Zerk was always a-yerking out at the berks with his political and philosophical propaganda
Zerk was always a-chirking up Lurch with his meditative-mindset

The Moon

Fiery-red, milky-white, and burnt orange, am I
Circular-fools, neurotic halves, wise courters and sickle-slices shape me
Liquid-masses bow down to me
Extinguishing my counterpart, and transforming light into night
Visibility befalls me as I absorb the Sustainer-Of-All’s kisses
Ultimate-compass-of-guiding-light, am I
Obtainer-of-measures and recorder-of-essence am I
Chaos enlivens all awe-struck viewers while in my foolish-state
Shadows piece together my possession
A maternal-nurturer for, a fertility-bearer, and an enabler-of-harvest to all, am I
Sharer am I, with the Daughters-Of-Firmament’s-Darkness

The Sun

Mourning-raises and evening-out Set
Exploding and uniting vapors are my everlasting fodder
Orientating the sphere of existence around me
Golden locks beard my youthful face
Stolen I am, but gained, lost, and redistributed throughout the cycle
A vital ingredient for games of production, reproduction, and sustenance am I
A creator for, a destroyer of and a sustainer-of-all, am I
My kisses are randomly discharged into the vastness
Infinite amounts of livelihood is what offers I
