My Bet

I bet on a horse and it won
50 quid is not a huge sum
So I bet again and still won
But 100 quid is still a small sum
So I bet again and guess what?
Yes, I won
But 300 quid is still not a big sum
So you know what I did? Yes u do
I bet again and yes I won
But 500 quid is not a big sum,
So I decided to go to the zoo
to buy a gorilla who had flu
I got him cheap, but he was big,
bigger then my 500 sum
I bet he could swim, jump, play
polo and clean out a sump
He did all this with much glee, but I
am still not rich you see
My poorly gorilla costs me a lot, the
vets are an expensive lot
So my 500 quids are no more, and
my gorilla looks sad even more.
So I sold my pet to my vet, cus he
wanted him as a pet
Now I have 500 to bet, and yes on a
horse. I bet
My horse was called gorilla in the
mist
Gosh what a fantastic twist.
Surely my horse should win this
race, and yes he did, at a casual gait.
Now I have 1000 quid to my name,
so back to the zoo, for some other
game.
I brought a giraffe, with my stake,
he had a long neck and he smelled
great
But my story ends here as my Dr
appeared.
Come on he said to me, what have
written on your pad?
Wow said my Dr that’s just great,
now time for your medication date!

Grace of An Angle,

The keeper of god’s love.
Being an Angel in the sky.
Watching you and I.
Sitting there on your cloud,
Playing cards, and hanging around.
Playing your harp.
Singing a song.
Hoping humans come along.
God says “ Angel go to earth, go find the person who spoke first
Bring him here bring him to me,
This is your mission you see. “
“Yes my lord.” The angel as gone to find the first person,
Who sang this song.
Amazing Grace, that super song.
Go find john, go find him, and bring along,
We need to know how he,
 sung that song.
The slaves that have long gone,
The ships that carried this beautiful song,
Oh my gosh were as John gone?
He can’t go far, the planets so small,
Why his he not standing tall?
The tune for that song he did not create,
It was hummed by his cargo
A, dark mass of slaves in a horrid state.
John must of thought this was bad, and it made him so very sad .

Last Thoughts

Minding your own business,
In the sea.
Along came a ship,
To kill me.
They’ve chased my father and my mum,
They’ve killed my grandparents,
And their son.
These little people,
Who carry a gun.
Are totally committed to killing my son.
They don’t seem to fear,
Or care.
No matter how fast I Run,
I can’t get away from that gun.
I should go lower into the sea,
2 miles deep ,out of their reach..
But I don’t Dive Dive Dive,
I’m not a sub, in the sea,
I’m an animal life and should be left be.
I don’t have missles upon my back,
Or torpedos , to shoot back.
I can’t defend and I can’t attack,
I don’t even want to fight back.
I may as well wait here, to get shot in the head.
And my flesh stripped, from my body in strips.
I don’t know why I have to die,
My son and my, sister and my mum, all died under this same gun.
In to breach goes a round now just darkness and no sound.
Now I’m on their ship,
Knives and scalpels take me to bits.
Now theres nothing left of me
Just this poem I leave for thee.

Pure Love

Pure love

God is all, and yet pure too,
Much love for me and you.
His son was a lamb,
A sacrifice for love,
Cus love comes, from only above .
Love is pure, a decent thing,
We know not of, such a pure thing.
Is god love then . You may ask ?
I’m sure i‘m right in saying,
God is all that!
love and pure and lives above.,
So to end my verse for love,
To name god in a word is love,
To call him good is not enough,
To call god great, only makes him a
saint.
So what do we do, to honour our
lord?
You can sing praises and worship
galore..
You can tell all about what you have
sung.
Tell them that your lord as won.
The only rule you have to follow,
Is to love your god, for all with out
sorrow.
But for me at this moment in time.
I write this verse, for my lord and
all time.

How They See Us From Afar

How they see us from afar.
I saw a planet it was blue,
It had a white tip. and a bottom one too.
The people here are funny lot,
Some like to kill, and some do.
Others destroy, thinking properties a toy.
They can create, so much good.
But they also build killing type stuff.
Tanks, and Mortars, and torture chambers for you.
But hey all so build hospitals too,
What a strange bunch .we see from afar.
They fight and quarrel, for the common good.
Then take their wondered, to be loved.
Oh what miss understood, bunch these are,
I’m glad were looking from afar.
Life on the planet must be mad,
Not knowing, if your happy or sad.
Look at that place over there!
Stay away, stay clear!
Let god our lord, sort them out.
He’s the only one with such clout,
Maybe he can sort them out.

Practice Poem

Practice poem
Today I smile, cus I walked a mile,
Today I’m happy, cus I smile.
Today I gave my heart away,
To a galaxy far away.
Today I lost my leg.
I found it my bed.
Today I lost my arm,
And found it on my mums farm.
Today my soul, decided to stroll,
Happily I had my leg from the bed,
And my arm from the farm,
So my soul was chased and caught,
Placed back in it’s resort.
I wondered what other part of me,
Would flee?
I know this poem sounds a bit strange,
It as no meaning, no gain.
So why do I write about , parts of me
Wanting to flee?
Cus I’m bored you see.
