Survivor

You look over she has a smile
But you don't realize the pain inside her
She laughs and plays til the day goes away
Just a normal kid you would think
But behind those laughs and smiles
You wouldn't know she's a survivor
From a disease that took everything but her spirit
When people thought it was too late
A miracle happen that day
She made it through sitting in the hopsital room
Behind those laughs and smiles
You wouldn't know she's a survivor

Walk In My Shoes

You think you know me
because you can see me
You think you know my life
Because you can hear me speak
You think you know the feelings on the inside
Because the smile on the outside
You label me for the little things I do
You label me for the little things I say
But you don't know me
You may think you are better than me
Fact is I'm a lot stronger than you think I am
You don't know what i have been through
So please keep an open mind
Don't judge me
Until you have walked in my shoes

Moving Ahead

People may have hurt you in the past
But as long as you can say
You are strong
You are beautiful
You are perfect in everyway
that is all that matters
Don't let bad memories tear you down
Let them build you
Become a stonger person
Put them in a box
Keep it closed
So later you can look back
To help you better
and score higher
Than you thought you ever could
Never Forget Move Ahead

Different

She held her head high
Reached up and touched the sky
Wondering
What would happen if she grew wings and flew
Flew away
Away from this hateful place
Where we judge one another and discriminate
Where people act fake
Wondering why they do what they do
Why they feel the need to be the same
Not their own person
But the anwser is infront of us
In this hateful place
Where people judge one another and discriminate

Drop Out

She made the mistake
She left her dreams behind
Her father gone
Her mother lost in her own world
Baby brother became her own
Partime worker
Age 16
She started to pray day and night
When things just didn't turn out right
Hoping a guardian angel would stop by
The day came sooner than she thought
Hope can alive
She walked on that stage
She sang her heart away
It was never a mistake
She would have never made it to this stage

Mom

You are my Mother, my Best Friend, and the most amazing teacher
You are always there when i need you
You never let me down
Always told me to shine through the crowd
Push me to do my best even when i don't want to try
You guide me through rough times and are always by my side
Taught me to set goals and follow my dreams
You don't want to let me go
You say i'm growing up way too fast
But I won't forget what you taught me in the past
