Walk In My Shoes

You think you know me because you can see me You think you know my life Because you can hear me speak You think you know the feelings on the inside Because the smile on the outside You label me for the little things I do You label me for the little things I say But you don't know me You may think you are better than me Fact is I'm a lot stronger than you think I am You don't know what i have been through So please keep an open mind Don't judge me Until you have walked in my shoes

I like the slightly softened in-your-face attitude. Being judged based on almost no real understanding is difficult to swallow and to face up to. Brave writing! J
