Thats Not Me, Not My Love

i pass the days unsatisfied
thinking of you and i
questioning my path and pride
can we keep our love alive

its not easy
i will have to lay to rest
alone when i chose to sleep
on my own is best

my heart did say you know this well
i fell into a dizzy spell
perhaps its fast but whose to tell
it pained me when I had to yell

i dont want to be that to you
thats not me, not my love
so we had to say goodbye
i wish we shared a closer view

you ever need anything please ask
for no ones sake, its what i feel
i hope we both will grow and heal
to sip spirits pure from leaden flask

the faintly playing of sade
eager for the autumn rain
sullen in a hardened way
ill meet you in a stronger wane

lend me a kiss of rosy cheek
this love was surely tried
 assured of me, feeling speaks
parting ways is wise

I Am Shy

I get nervous in front of crowds
my first words are usually shaky
I can stand straight but take a few steps
in a direction corresponding with that awkward moment
you realize
everyone is listening, interpreting, judging, sympathizing
just trying to understand
the first time I gave a speech was 6th grade
the teacher said its hard speaking in front of a class
who wants to try?
I got brave and took the spotlight
only to find I was blinded
and at a loss for words
show and tell was stress
I ate my silence
I just want to connect, on a grande scale
fast, quick, and easy
The only speaking that mattered
was my great grand mothers funeral
I was the oldest of a generation
I spent a while getting my thoughts down
what I said lasted only a few minutes
the words echo in my head
have been
and probably will till death
I want to lead a group into chaos
get everyone to dance
become wild creatures fleeting on our fairest fancies
seek joy and fearlessly love
express in a healthy way
be aware
I'm just trying to connect
I am shy

A Mother Lover's Ode

smoother than most, all moving no boast, shooting a moon to toast, to our beautiful host
revolving no doors, just opportunities score marking the entrance ways pores
balance implored
fracking a lack of communication crashing breaking backs and racking our foundation
till were screaming take it back
unpacked and all out, dig deep for the fall out, kettle blackened from potty mouths,
busted missing a tea spout
pour me a gallon of chandon the whole sip for your front lawn, till the bottles dry
like jokes from monty python
silly satans salivating sighing and spraying your favorite simon's saying cause piles of money and ego feed are waiting for the generating
nothing new under the sun but above clouds I found me some, cause ignant bliss still exists even if you wear a cummerbund
tell all your facts and try to catch my glazed eye, cause compromise can be the do or die, to where ever future lovers lie
this blueberry from space ferry might fit in a test tube in perspective
or we just miss the point why evolution was so selective

The Love We Had Seemed So Far Away

i look to stars and wishes flew through space never to be heard again
fun to friends hearts do meld and break facing until time ends
this loop that plays and beats that syncopate become but a gem
pleasure a chest opened in surprise feeling no need to defend
galaxies away lonely planets please keep me in mind
distance could grow something fond or lost between the lines
gps my love you can see its still where I left it behind
thoughts fade away with life love lives forever in my rhyme

Im sorry, I wanted more, with all this space between
disconnected and I still look to that day
we talked on the phone, our separate homes
the love we had seemed so far away

without air i couldnt breathe squeezed until I'm passing by
no water flow my skin would dry and I return to the sky
sunny days would blacken out, attracting need for desperate lies
to make up for the beauty lost from death slowly closing my eyes
that fire once sparking motion snuffed in huffs slipping away
drifting I sway shaky grounds where once I sat easily and stay
upon my feet I still float drowning out all thoughts that stray
Tho these ends can come swift its worse to miss and hear you say

Im sorry, I wanted more, with all this space between
disconnected and I still look to that day
we talked on the phone, our separate homes
the love we had seemed so far away

down the road, flying free, I ride the wave and hope for your return
through several seas and cloudy peaks, storms of sand, I will not turn
helpless to fate and future events, nothing prevents something to learn
sights may not sore, nothing much looking more, isn't my concern
I hope the best and happyness is true to bless you, not just in dreams
we can meet when we sleep discussing life while sleeping seems
thanks for trying Im not exactly dying, banes of sentient beings
real enough moving on is rough, i'll love you forever, writting my means

Manifest Destiny My Only Cure

i dont mean to be pathetic
wishing my phone would sound
the little things the biggest
my ear lay to the ground
waiting for that signal
reception just a symbol
i tried to keep it simple
heart crashing like a cymbal
every thing i see kindly a reminder
where I want to be out of place
stealing the covers id like to find her
lately my bed is having too much empy space
i guess never say never
sometimes i know better
since I ever met her
my heart wouldnt forget her
quest for my questionin to be quenched
matters of this nature puts people in a pinch
my best for blessings stuck by a wrench
disaster while riding despite tightening a cinch
i made my bed now rest assured
manifest destiny my only cure
my arms not as long like I preferred
let it go, watch, help it grow, I concur

For the Listening

heres a brush, dont comb your hair
no need for touch, pictures float in air
words paint an image, with room to spare
skull cap open, bowl full of rare
no fools allowed, deep thoughts out loud
bow when I finished, no bowing down
no cowing out, holy cow sound
sacrificed lamb, ostracized bound
break ground no ground hogs found
clouds still there, shadows over town
colossus in distance, silver in a crown
rainstorm for a hat, shower till i drown
no ark necessary, I go with the flow
all art especially made with pain and soul
blood in the mix, sweat for the christening
hugs over sex, I don't rap for the listening

Values

hip hip hurrah, herc shot hera
sick sad era, tri city terror
dirty land lover, lips hit terra
karma bent over, messenger error
never say neva, davin say better
no pain no gain, accept the rainy weather
paint a pic pretty , slip on slick cities
have a lot of lovers, none top sarah
no what im knowing, dont want a slow down
respect is expected, never threw a hoe down
zeus with an entourage, party never undersized
tities no mardi gras, let loose like karamazovs
other moment ostracized, flow never oxidize
freaky with an extra eye, good times multiply
mr go getter, killed the baby sitter
no one does it sicker, crazy cause I know I die

we gots to live, like this life is the last
we cant plan the future, no change for the past
im a make the most before my ghost has to crash
blast thru the basic come away with the cash

one trick pony, faulty cause its special
colts get bolted, stuck in their mental
yellin out mommy, darwin wasnt gentle
change for survival or b**** shut your dental
d*** headed central, quick wit essential
lifes experimental, body a holy temple
soul instrumental for flying to light levels
trying a tight bevel tieing a rhyme pretzel
spy verse spy verbal, try to size circles
circumsize virgos, turpentine turbo
egos in slow mo, vertigo a go go
ho ho flow curdled, tossed into inferno
my syllable allegro caused a bloody gurgle
my soliquoy symbols, got my butt buddies hurtful
enemies closer choked till their purple
envy nocturnal to my bright concerto

we gots to live, like this life is the last
we cant plan the future, no change for the past
im a make the most before my ghost has to crash
blast thru the basic come away with the cash

four arm charmer, mystic in the making
awake no alarmer, physically shaking
visibly debating, if misery is waiting
shake till its fading, without hesitating
didi waits for no one, i happen to grow some
dropped as a we lad, learned by my lonesome
others had a helping, served me a surprise
no need to refy, interest past the demise
loan me a pice of mind, no need for a slice a pie
history wasn't lies, just under another guise
repition important, reputation not fortune
though I was fortunate, it was hard to notice horton
praise to the doctor, metaphors for healing
been a force with feeling, opens doors in ceilings
benefits appealing, to consumers when teething
people angry competing, without finding a meaning

we gots to live, like this life is the last
we cant plan the future, no change for the past
im a make the most before my ghost has to crash
blast thru the basic come away with the cash

All Animals Are Beautiful

i am not a beatnik
ive been called hipster
i am not a caucasian
blood type O positive
I live in the house i was raised in
i destroyed it and rebuilt it
the discovery of my identity
i hit my head on dirty hardwood floors
and became awake
i held on and took the hit
i got high and drank a lot
dont make me tell you
when i explain things
people have the same responses
most of the time
thats okay
its in a poem
my catharsis was not a hobby
i face the demons on concrete sidewalks
used ancient medicine
questioned my thoughts
stared long and hard into the truth
my entry was not at random
but probably it was
this was not my concern
i reflected on ego
fate and this carousel
all animals are beautiful
all wearing a saddle
i went back inside
lightning doesnt strike twice
isnt impossible
a giant meteor theory sounds good
theyre all gona want to know
what this all really means
i blame it on poetry
and f* you
shame
lol
if I wasnt such a romantic
this writing would be disgusting
i have nothing to offer but true love
infatuation with the chemistry in communication
my words finding a way to unite our souls
blending our person
a paradox in science that happens daily
catching my feels
laughing
i am accepting all grievances
pardoned without a hearing
no slight
im harbored amidst my eloquence
building my tender heart a fortress
telling myself a get away
soothing my curiosity
drinking from the dew drops
i like when dawn is early
traffic is always early
wishing our minds would hurry
making room for more

Wish I May Wish I Might

i wish i may i wish i might
kiss upon a star tonight
meet a girl who does it right
feel super with no kryptonite
healthy like a vegemite
she gets me hi i hit the heights
no violations to my rights
flying like a stringless kite
return because shes outta sight
rerun for that nick at night
cut the chase we laugh and bite
i catch her when i hit the lights
spin her like a metaknight
dreamland so we better fight
making truth my appetite
sting lingers from my latest flight
empty opposite of tight
like swallowed sticks of dynomite
ride or die that is my type
no going back once started like
the silly way typewriters write
hearts and minds will reunite
my heart once made of hematite
stays broken like some urbanite
wonder if i heard her right
hard to hear well worded lies
when no nerve and nervous might
postpone the light for certain sides
service sized assurance glides
soft to land no meteorites
loving till the end despite
leaving me dry with wounded pride
