Strong Woman

Strong woman
That woman
Who tears behind the mirror?
Made me who I am
My hardened heart she took
Tenderized it with love
Took my salty tears
Turned into joyful tears

That woman
Who sighs behind the mirror
Sighs in memory
Memories and feelings
Hardships she went through
To feed my whole stomach

That woman
The woman pulling back her mucors
Does so in fear
Fear that ill not be what she hoped
That teared woman
Crys in fast and prayer
Crys for my dark self
Cries for my future

That woman crying
Tears down her body fluids
Hopefully that her anger and disappointments
May atleast flow out with them
Her body almost running dry by now
That woman calls upon God
GOD atleast make him better
That woman cries for me
That woman cries for her lineage
That woman cries night and day

How I came to be
To be what I am
I don’t know how
A slave of the world
A slave with one work song
A song entitled failure
The first stanza of calamity
The last stanza dead man where I am heading

Looking at her cry
Twists my brains
Is this what I am?
Is this my purpose to the world?
Is this the man the world wants?
Is this what God spent time Molding
Is this what the bible describes?
Just for her
Just for her I take my life back
Just for her God I stand strong
Just for her I say no
NO no no this is not me

Come mummy take this handkerchief
I don’t wannna see those tears again
I love you mummy

Affairs of the Heart

Affairs of the heart
As long as I see a smile
I know that I live
As long as I know you are here
I know I have some more time to breathe
My heart beats by your breath
Programmed only to love one
Don’t say you love me
My heart knows you do
Our silent moments…..
A whole heart to heart conversation goes on

As long as I see a smile
My mouth never runs dry
It will always tell you
Broadcast the secrets of the heart
Secrets that the heart would rather keep to its self
Always green my eyes will stay
Seeing you smile to another
My heart will never stop
Beat rhythmically to the tarantella of your beauty
My mind will always be alert
Thinking of you
My mouth always mime your name
Obsessed you may call it
I think it is hypnotization

Tears down your cheeks
I’ll dry them with affection
Your sorrows,
Change them into joy
A walking stick
I’ll be for you
A royal carriage ill carry you everywhere
Your shoes
Ill fit my feet to feel where they pinch most
Tenderize the spot before you put them on

I don’t want
Fall in love with you
I really don’t
Grow in love with you I want
For in falling
I might never rise again
Buckle up your seatbelt
For a drive into heaven
Where everything is a word away
Your love is well preserved
Your joy is my inspiration
Your body is my blanket
Your love is my pride
You
You are me

Trust Me Baby This Is Love

How much does it cost to say yes
how many teardrops… do you want to see flow
how many curses …do you want to hear
how many sunsets do u want to pass in regrets
how many sleepless nights should I have
how much torture should I persevere
before you understand my sorrow

Look into my eyes and see the fire in them
feel my heartbeat …..
No one else makes it beat this fast
listen to the language am speaking
how often do you hear
a man utter so many in understandable words

Tick tock time moves
just when I hope you will stop looking at him
with so much passion,
you even go further to kiss him more
how it used to hurt!
Now I try to make it fun
assumptions are what dominate my life
a kiss to his score sheet
become a tick on mine.

Just tell me what I have to do
so that you recognize me.
Is it the money that he gives…
world trips he takes you,
the posh car he bought you yesterday
title deed for the beach house
Or even better!!
the slaps he gives you in the middle of the night,
even better the other woman he has in your
house.

How inferior he sees you’
just one of his lady servants
he thinks of you
his expectations of you
to smile even if nothing is right?

Thoughts and thoughts have circulated my
mind tried to win a jackpot
am afraid that doesn’t happen to the needy.
Only one thought to solve this puzzle
the only thought that ends up in smiles
caddling each other
under the moon light
outside our hut of peace
the only thought
you disagree most with.

let him burst us.
You say “he will kill us”.
For you, I bet he will
make it snappy out of anger
that’s better you’ll be home early
prepare our sleeping place
for I know he will make
sure he kills every nerve
one by one that has my DNA
till his pain goes away
then and only then I will come home.
See baby,
a win- win situation his anger gone
and our souls will find happiness
yes if only you’d agree
just let go
let go of the materialistic you
listen to the joy of our jeering hearts
lets go home

Pretty Dazzling

My pretty dazzling peacock
 How beautiful you are
My dazzling princess,
Obviously;
To any man’s eyes blind, mad or dumb, beauty!
Not a scarce jewel to you
Your teeth arranged-
A pattern beautiful than the navy parade
Don’t even get me started:
Your thorax, ribs so harpic
A look at them I feel musical
Wanna become a harpist.

Your sexy silence
How calming it is to my thoughts
Your deep dark eyes
How they seem to look deep
Deep enough to see through me

The smile!
Oh the secret suggestive smile
How it brings out elegance royal virtues
A real angelic diva
A thought of my presence in you
Really an unsolved equation
It is a priceless pleasure
No one has ever managed this to me
How I can’t explain my suffocation,
Muscle melt down,
Unstoppable drooling,
What an expensive thought.

Just a peck my dear
My life vaporizes away from me
From a far in its dark world,
My fumbling soul follows the brightest light
To land on your tensed face
Snap my life is back
Straight into the arms of my dazzling angel.

Mama Papa Life Lessons

Just the other day I cried
 cried for mummy’s arms
I wouldn’t have let anyone else hold me
everything to me she was
the only being I knew with superpowers.

Mummy look what I found..
throw that away my dear it will harm you
mummy teach me how to tie my laces
son think of a rabbits ears… genius isn’t she?
Mum I got hurt... come ill apply some herbs to it…

come here son be a man
the lion of the homestead he never cries never,
I got an "A" I know you are just like me
what do you expect?
Daddy I failed in my exams..
a frown on his face
that you didn’t get from my side of the family
go and talk to your mother.
he hated me grew up in
thought that he was rude grew up in fear.

Now the world has changed
almost saying goodbye to ...“mummy a lollipop, shoe, book
I can’t imagine mummy I need rent HUH!
That is not manly I now understand HIM daddy
an eagles feather is only found in the nest on the longest tree

the world has swallowed me
teaching me that independent is what I should be
just like daddy used to say slowly,
carefully beating me into being like daddy
I now know him
why so strict
why so silent
why so scary mh mh mh
I now know why his laughter and
anger seemed to be married
The smile I put on,
the tears that almost come out of me,
the car am about to drive,
mention them an infinite list I have
a hard Working strong independent man I am...
all I got from my African mamma and papa

When a Man Breaks

You killed an innocent man
The thought he fed you lies
The only woman
He has ever looked into the soul
Never ashamed to show you off.

 The man’s spirit still yearns
Yearns to be with you
 How he'd give anything
His soul to sniff your hair
 How he'd like to listen
Your heartbeat every night
What he’d give to hear you call
In anger, curse his carelessness

The man still searches for you
Requests you
 Bring back his soul
 Please bring back his love
 Please bring back his life
Take him out of this misery claustrophobic
 Alone is where he is
Widowed is what he feels
Just wants you to know

His soul would never roam around
Knowing your coupes lie
He would have come back that night
Told you that you are the only reason
Reason he breathes only reason
He knows you made him what he his
To him you are the best reason
Only reason to fall in love

Hood Rat

Zero chills
Poping pills
Month 9 panctured belly
Baby never made it
Mama still shaking booty
Thursday reaggae
Still lit she feel
Someone call Dr dolittle
I got a litre of baby bloody juice
Lit mamma,s litter
Littered by the lit mama
Little she knows
Pappy needs answers

The child of destiny
Denied to rise
God,s messager
Decided to pull a driveby
Cold dead flashed in the sewer
Into the sewer it goes
All its dreams down the sewer
Mama saw it as shit

Just another cycle
Menstrual juice she saw
Her body her rules
Her booty they drool
Not ready
Deffinately bouncing back
Under the mat
The dirt goes
Ostrichy in the sand
Heads down
Mama is ahead
Perfectionist in heads
Taking it hard
Lit she says
Only remember
He laughs last
 laughs loudest

The service provider
Comes pretty soon
Earthly bridal you are
Chosen by earthlings
Down you will go
Consequencies must face
Trust me Papa will get you
Good he will get you

Turned Jesus Down

Donkeys are never carried
Hens never miscarry
Cows don’t hutch
Pointing fingers, the norm
A person killed by his persona

My ego shadows my vision
My fault lines… eyelided by ignorance
Ego contesting with my vision
Mission straying from vission
Literaly a juvenilled dead man walking

Unconsciously delayed my blessings
Forgot my bridal vows
To dine in my fathers house
Thinner and thinner I grow everyday
‘’Forgot’’ to eat the daily bread
Been full of boos and roasted meat
The last time I remember
I Turned down a date with Christ

Our wedding has no guests
He said its my failure to invite guests
Our home will be boring
No value no guests no music
Forgot time in his house,
Met a new lover
He showed me how to spend
How to pass time
Apparently the ten commandments
Just cock block fun
Even Drunk dad knew the church
Mama cries every day in prayer
Used to feel the pain…
Soul Numbness been imminent
With time I lost his number
When I needed him
He was not on my phone book
My new boyfriend Lucifer
Well let’s say he left with everything he brought

Just got a message that he was passing by
My friend batimayo called loudly
So will I
I will bow down and remind him
Of how beautiful I was
I will do my lashes for him
He took lashes for me
Manicure pedicure tone my face in foundation
He is the firm foundation
Prepare a meal for him
Not bread a surprise meal
I know he will come with the daily bread
Invite some guests over
I know they need to see him
Wait for him
I know he will pass by
I mean He can’t forget us
Our smiles our miracles
Our fellowships
How we used to blend perfectly
I know him he is soft hearted
He will restore me
I know
He can’t just pass two people gathered in his fellowship
He promised me that

Unripe Harvest

OH HELL WORLD!
Someone, anyone!
Help me understand
How!!
How could you
Look at her innocence
And see a jar of honey
Afford a drool!?
Do you happen to speak Booboo?
Did she understand you?

Let me get this right
You looked at her hips swing,
Yeah!?
Looked at her boobies
MH!!
Looked at her hair swing
HUH!!
Someone!! HELLO!! SOMEONE!!

Remember when we visited
Carried NANA shakers?
Seeing her laugh
How it made us laugh
The twist!!
hell the twist
You thought of bringing a banquet
Rather a chocolate box?
MH!!
Maybe a nice red dress, some designer heels
Is it her BOOBOO laugh gave you a hard on?
DEVIL?!!

How could you?
Mama left the baby with her “papa”
Papa turned into “DADDY?!”
your palm sized daughter….
Look at her now
Doesn't know anything
Yet her eyes speak of shame,
embarrassment Regrets filled in her
Why she was brought to this world
A question she asks herself
looks at us as the devil
looks at the world like hell itself
is it maybe it is

when she asks
where will you be
forgive you we might
will she ?
how id like to see you answer her
why she is not sealed like her friends
who gave away her innocence
who took away her pride
who deserved her that much
who will wash away the tears
who daddy tell me who?

Dot Dot Dot

Poetry is not a beat to everyone to understand
Its not a beat to anyone’s ears
Not a rhythm to somebody’s tarantella
Neither a ringtone to anyone’s pad

Some will doze off
Some will ridicule
Some will insult
Others will walk out with passion

Only the deep eared
largely brained
Only those with taste
Passion to listen
thirsty of knowledge
Only them will get the poetry orgasm
Tears will wash away their naivety
Only those with a poetic eye
