This Human Heart

My brother is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. I still remember that day

His Human Heart He laid red rose upon white casket Tears were hidden behind dark glasses People are such righteous asses This question I just had to ask it A wounded heart will not outlast it This human life quickly passes This human dream was love’s excess Why was his love so very wrong? Gender doesn’t really matter Human dreams are still shattered He laid red rose upon white casket Was their love so very wrong? The question I just had to ask it His human heart still sang love’s song.<>

Tropical Romance

Tropical Romance White crowned waves wash upon the wet seashore The Palm fronds shiver in the stiff sea breeze Moonlight shimmers across midnight blue seas Black sky twinkles with diamonds galore Sensuous delights love does hold in store Come my love, on white sand lie with me please On this sand mound beneath these tall Palm trees And let us share the love we have pledged this day This love we do share is not commonplace White crowned waves wash upon the sea shore Moonlight shimmers across midnight blue seas Black sky twinkles with diamonds galore Come my love, on white sand lie with me please

A Dirty Basement Room

A Dirty Basement Room In a dirty basement room a baby cries Weakened mother was defiled Forced my law to birth a child Upon a dirty pillow she lies In a dirty room the mother dies Mother and son soon reconciled Victims of government gone wild A time to live a time to die Angry rapist walks streets free Will they listen to her plea? In a dirty basement room a baby cries Angry rapist runs streets free In a dirty basement room mother dies Will they listen to her plea?

Lady Autumn's Ball

Lady Autumn’s Ball Here ye, Hear ye, tis time for Lady Autumn’s ball Tis the best time for late season romance Come everyone, enjoy the dance Autumn’s colors deck the halls Listen for Love’s eternal mating call Love is born from a single glance Emotions of the heart are enhanced As they two, walk down the promenade Lady Autumn is bedecked in her finest gown Colors so vivid can nowhere be found Hear Ye, Hear Ye, tis time for Lady Autumn’s ball Come, everyone, enjoy the dance Listen for love’s eternal mating call Emotions of the heart are enhanced

Come and Join My Fantasy

Two Sonnets for your enjoyment, joined by the same quatrain.

Come and join my fantasy Anyone with a mind can be a part You just have to listen to your heart Music adds such harmony All spirits have compatibility You will be happy as a lark You will feel the joy from the start One cannot describe the joy inside Join me in this peaceful place See the eagles flying with such grace This is the home of imagination Here dreams do come true In this place of our creation Interruptions are very few Love is found on every shore Ever after comes every day Happy is just another way Life in forever is never a bore Live the memories you have stored Here fairies and butterflies play Come in and with me stay You will never want to leave Come and share my fantasy On the wings of love fly free This is the home of imagination Here dreams do come true In this place of our creation Interruptions are very few

I Am Angry You See

(The voice of a Native American)

I am Angry You See

I am angry you see
Do I not have a right to be?

You and your kind took everything from me
Before you came my people were free
You took my home, my food,
Finally you took my land
I will never understand
You made up reasons to kill
Your ruthlessness to fulfill

I’m Angry you see
Do I not have the right to be?

As General:

You led soldiers in battle
You treated men like cattle
While you sat upon a horse
You had no remorse
You watched your soldiers die
You didn’t even cry

I am angry you see
Do I not have the right to be?

Your soldiers killed our braves
But this wasnot enough for you
You did what was a common to do
You raided our camps, killing the wise
With no reason my people you despise
Our homes you ravaged
And you called us the savage

I am angry you see
Do I not have the right to be?

Years have come and gone since those days
You have not changed your warring ways
You seek land not your own
This bountiful land you have abused and overgrown
I watch you from the Happy Hunting ground where I now reside
I see floods and tragedies your treachery provides

I am angry you see
Do I not have the right to be?

Chains of Love

The chains of love do have you bound
Joy inside of you is no longer real
The life within is hardly found
The chains of love do have you bound
Your friends are no longer around
I do know just how this pain feels
Joy inside of you is no longer real
The chains of love do have you bound

Me, One Alone

I stood staring at the moon
I thought about a night so long ago
What happened I shall never know
It was over much too soon
When he walked into the room
My love for her inside did flow
What could I do my love to show
He smiled and she did swoon
What happend next how shall I tell
For is caused my heart begin to swell

Eternal love we did vow
Our life had just begun
That was then and this is now
I am me, one alone

Have You Known the Love

Have you known of love
Lasting and forever kind
That I feel for you
