High School

Countless memories,
Laughter and tears
Always to be remembered,
Moments of these past four years

Freshman year,
Brand new places
It's a fresh start,
With many new faces

Sophomore year,
Better knowing
Waiting for the end,
Always growing

Junior year,
Almost there
Many tests,
Better prepare

Senior year,
One last year
After this you'll be gone,
It's reason for cheer

All the drama,
Between boys and friends
Not knowing what to do,
Having to make amends

Gone

You knocked me down,
I got back up again
And just cause you don't love me,
Doesn't mean I cant be your fan

I still enjoy your company,
I still like spending time with you
It seems you don't feel the same,
But for me it's still true

No, I don't love you anymore,
But you're still a good friend
I still have fun when we talk,
Still don't want this to end

You just make it seem,
I'm the only one who feels this way
Cause it seems you wouldn't care,
If this friendship were to stray

You'd just brush it off,
Be unfazed and move on
And just like our love,
You wouldn't care it'd be gone

Poem Inside

There's a poem inside me,
I've been trying to get on paper
But I just can't write it down,
Though it fills me like a vapor

Cause this poem is more than words,
It's a feeling deep inside
And although it wants to be set free,
I cannot reveal it to the outside

I've tried and tried,
Although it has yet to work
I'm still trying to grasp it,
This feeling is one I don't want to shirk

Yet how can I simply put into words,
Something that is so heart felt
Just the action of thinking of it,
Makes that very same heart melt

Cause there's no words,
For such a feeling as this
There's no way to explain,
What you do to me with a simple kiss

So I'll try and fail
To tell you what is true
These three words seem the closest,
So I say again: I love you

Maybe

Maybe, just maybe,
I'll get you out of my head
Maybe, just maybe,
You're supposed to be there
Maybe, just maybe,
You actually do care
Maybe, just maybe,
I'm going insane
Maybe, just maybe,
This is all some kind of game
Maybe, just maybe,
The lie isn't what I thought it was
Maybe, just maybe,
I imagined it all
Maybe, just maybe,
This afternoon, you will call
Maybe, just maybe,
You will tell the truth
Maybe, just maybe,
My heart will heal
Maybe, just maybe,
Or maybe it won't

Always

I'm writing you these poems,
Something I haven't done in a while
But I bet you do not know,
How easily you make me smile

To be able to write these words,
It shows so great emotion
All of them are for you,
Since you're my main inspiration

I haven't written in a while,
And I just wanted you to know
All these feelings inside,
Every day they seem to grow

So all or nothing,
Whether you're a friend or foe
These feelings will still remain,
Always there to show

Lies Hurt

Hold it all together,
That's what you must do
Knowing all of what they said,
None of it was true

I just wanted the truth,
Is that too much to ask
It's the lies that hurt,
Leaving pain for me to mask

But if I'm not ok,
You would never know
The tears will remain inside,
Never there to show

So lie to me all you want,
The truth, you never tell
So hurt me, I don't care
On you, my mind won't dwell

Never Knew

I never thought it'd be you,
Never knew this would be true

I never thought it'd be you who broke my heart,
Never knew it'd be you who tore it apart

I never thought it'd be you who tore me down,
Never thought it'd be you who caused my frown

I never thought it'd be you who caused my tears,
Never knew it'd be you who changed gears

I never thought it would be true,
Never knew it would be you

A Love Like Mine

I've never told you,
How much I love you,
Although I have tried,
It's impossible to do

No matter how hard I try,
It's impossible to define
How it is I feel,
A love like mine

I love you so much,
Too much to explain
I really wish I could,
Cause it's making me insane

Guess I'll have to trust,
That you understand
Cause it is permanent,
Unlike footprints in the sand

I really do love you,
More than I can say
More than can be expressed,
More and more every day
