Music

MUSIC

The rythme progresses through me
Reaching to depths unknown
Leading me to another realm
Only I have ever gone

A place of solitude
Where I can be free
For my soul is the melody
To which I shall dance alone
And the beat is my life walk
Opening the walls that have never been shown

Oh how I love to sing
Especially when I hear that old familiar
That takes me back to the day
That I could just proceed along
No cares, no worries, just me and the world
Being free...... to my song

How many memories are wrapped up within tones
That have touched our lives
How many people can we recall
With just one sharp# climb
Or with just one flat fall

The power of our melody is our own
No one can hum it
No one can take it
Because our life walk is our song

We can take this empowerment as high as we want
Or we can take it to the lows
No matter how we play it
It still grows

With each and every encounter
Down our blessed path
The music follows
With our every step

So embrace your sharps and flats
Knowing that it is helping you
Through this turbulent ride
Sing it loud and don't be ashamed
For your song knows you are doing your best

Don't let the bar line tell your ending
Keep the melody flowing
Continue your lines without cares
And when your curtain rides low
And the rythmes come to a sway
Just look at the pages before
To where you started from
And to how you have become so much more today

Keep the music alive....even with a hummm

Walking Away

Walking Away

I walked away today
Something has changed
My thoughts, my emotions have jolted to a halt.
I do not feel the same as I did yesterday

A wall of magnitude has completely blinded my view
To barricade the ones that have steadily darkened each hidden crevice
And to protect my tethered heart

Everyone has their breaking points
No more left to give
I have a new life to live!

The disappointment of what could have been
Is what aches me so poorly
And the grasping of hope of one day observing a better you...

The softness of my intentions have become solid and firm
Once upon a time, I promise I did care
But this cloak of a fool I will no longer wear

Each and every day I opened my door for you
Allowing you to walkthrough
Granting you access to my private domain
To which only a few have remained

Today the life you once knew is no more
As you watched me close my opened door

Walking away
Walking away
Walking away...from you

Lies

LIES

A web that has no ending
For I can not stop
Even though I try
Something is wrong with me
Because my judgement is blinded
And I can not see
Every time I make the promise
To quench the desire to mislead
It only adheres for a short moment
Until the web starts to bleed

The deciet of my words
My voice has no truth
It is an addiction
A never ending piercing thorn
It is like a paper cut
That always hurts to the touch
And I am that paper cut
That hurts everyone I touch

Why can't I control this monster inside
It is destroying my very being
It is grasping my loved ones by the heart
Tearing their view of me completely apart
I wish that this was just a dream
That this is not as bad as it seems
And that I am not pushing everyone away

Acceptance is my aime
To be looked upon higher
Eventhough, I have everything I have always visioned
This thing still wants to feed
I have tried so many times to depress it
So many promises and pleads
To the one above
Whom I know that shows only love
The one who can crush this irritating bug

It yearns so badly to come alive
That I can not contain it
Eventually, it slowly engulfs my soul
Like fumes from a old kerosene heater
Taking away my breath

Some days I try to start a fresh
But, within hours and without even knowing
Out comes my darkened words
My mind has no control
I Have No Control
Only Lies have Control

The Queen

The Queen

I sometimes thought she was a mystical creature from another time...
The way the butterflies enraptured her body that day.
They were drawn to her like a mosquito needing to feed.
Flying around her feet as she would talk to them and softly giggle...

Child-like she was...
Still believing dreams come true and Prince Charming's do still exist
Where life can be a fairytale if you want it to be

She still saw the good in other's
Forgiving them at the first prick or tenth
Always looking past faults and only visualizing the good

Her voice was strong and powerful
When forced and needed
But soft and tender too...

She cared for her family
Stood by her man
Protecting them at any cost

Pure at heart
An Angel's smile
A laughter that would radiate the world
Brilliant mind
Hands that always were giving
Song Bird...a voice that melted the hardest rock

She was not a Princess but
A true Queen...

A Better Me

A Better Me

The creator of light is my virtue
In him I shall breathe again
My faults are not judged
For they are only looked upon as hope
Not as a line of communication for the wicked
To lift themselves up to see me fall
The struggles of my desire overcame me
But they do not define me
My creator does not see my faults
And what I can not be
But what I can be
A better me

The Universe's Dance

The Universe's Dance

Transitions of the obstruction of life
To the peacefulness of the night
Or a new beginning that a rising sun can bring without a fight
And in the late hour when everything becomes quiet

Nature has a way to transform
Within this turning of time
Every living spec upon this ever changing storm
To which we play this nursery rhyme

Maybe by a birds sweet sound
That brings a sweet remembrance to a season or day
And within a condensed shift in life a smile abounds
Upon a glowing face

The way the wind softly caresses your face
With a cool breeze
To wave off the heat of the day
With a whistling sound moving melodically free

How the drip drop of rain hitting a window pane can calm a tone
With its streams of life being poured from the heavens
To revive a world that struggles for life sitting on a disintegrating throne
And spring a newness into each creation with no discretion

An uncontrollable fire, breathing in the sky
Giving endlessly its lantern to lead us by each step
And warming our bodies when the cold starts to cry
Frightfully showing its characters of depth

Flickering candles floating in the atmosphere
Decorating a painted canvas of deep blue
Wishes casted off into their whispering ear
With silent hopes of dreams coming true

How amazing is a small and fragile seed
That can create a feast for Kings
And feed a family in need
And if planted again grows once more in spring

We so carelessly disregard the treasures that are all around
These viable precious gifts, nature holds out to us so unselfishly
Returning day after day, season after season unannounced
Unlocking valiant colors of wonders on towers of stems rising from the ground... so proudly

All these elements work in unity to perform a theatrical dance upon our stage
They are the silent voices within the earth
Imparting without antcipating anything to gain
Unstained by our constant denial, clasping to last place in our world of worth

Eyes of sadness our universe never reflects
For it hides its emotions within its design
And even the smallest spectator never detects
Its unfailing true love for all man kind

Human

Human

I am angry
I am mad
I am irritated
I am pissed off

I want to scream
I want to cry
I want to breathe without pain inside
I want to "just be"

I can be happy
I can smile
I can laugh
I can love

I can, I want, I am.....Human

The Fear of the Night

The Fear of the Night

Startled by a wet and chilly touch to her thigh
Hannah frightfully opened her eyes

With only her eyes she looked to the left and then to the right
While noticing on the clock, that is was only eleven thirty at night

Only her breathing she could hear
No unusual sounds or loved ones that she held so dear

There it was again!
As anxiety over took her body while her mind trying to go insane

Hannah thoughts went to another dimension of what ifs
It could be this or it could be that as her mind started to shift

Nothing she knew compared to this feeling
As she stilled her eyes toward the ceiling

Then, her sheets slowly proceeded to move towards the front of the bed
She bravely reached her arm to the small light above her head

It seemed like a lifetime until her finger tips felt the dangling chain
The weight of the pull was harder to sustain

The brightness of the light overcame her vision as she blinked several times
Dots of stars flashed before her as she finally regained her normal sight

What to do? She never thought this through.
Should she sit up or even try to move?

The bed began to rise and she decided quickly to get out of her room
All she knows is that, she is going to get her broom!

Making a dash from the bed to the door
She tripped on the rug and fell to the floor

Looking up towards the bed she breathes with relief
The small mountain did not flinch as she started to creep

Through her bedroom door to the hall closet
On her hands and knees she began to sweat

The door was already ajar as her heart slowed to a calm
She stood to her feet and grabbed the broom tightly around her palm

An intensity of control moved through every vein
This is her home, her domain!

Quickly to her room raising the broom like a sword
She suddenly heard a whimper in the air so fragile she could not ignore

Looking around she wondered, where this voice of help was coming from
The sheets began to sway back and forth, louder the cry hummed

She grabbed the sheets and threw them in the air
And laughed when she realized what made her so scared

A hairy creature he was
From top to bottom in his cute little pajamas

What was this that touched her thigh so wet and so cold?
Would you believe, her sweet little puppy dogs black nose!

Lifeless

Lifeless
Wondering through time, not knowing what to find
A heart without a soul, a mind without peace
No tears fall for I feel no pain, no shadow lurks upon me
No sound shall I hear, only the vision of life
I am now lifeless
My footsteps are never heard, my thoughts never counteracted
Only silence would one hear
Humans never know I exist, passing by with their everyday life
Not knowing what lies ahead of them
If words could speak, and thoughts could flow
Caution would I bear to all
No hope, no future only time will they concieve
For one day, they will be lifeless like me

The Kiss

The Kiss

Just one look
That was all it took
You said from me
You slowly came forward
Like a honey bee
And kissed me.....

But, I do not recall
Giving you any kind of look at all...

I wrote this for my wonderful husband. He said I gave him "the look" on our first date. But, I really believe he just wanted to kiss me...and I let him.~Tammy~
