It's Sad But I'M Glad

though the times have seen me smile
for the thought of loving u blazed my soul with joy
I could still feel the resistance from ur soul
it's sad but I'm glad

though the times have encountered the peace my mind felt
when I heard ur voice or saw u walk away
in the back of my mind I knew u'll soon disappear
it's sad but I'm glad

though my heart knew love like never before
when u gave it a chance to present what it knows best
somewhere in it, it knew that was too good to be true
it's sad but I'm glad

though I walked around with u all over my way
doing me things I never thought my soul could endure
that path somehow has split and I'm going the wrong way
it's sad but I'm glad

I'm glad that I gave it one more try
I'm glad that my heart despite the previous pain
was not scared to take that leap of faith in love once more
it's sad that it's all over my face with embarrassment

the best part is that I'm ready to let it go
even though it seems quiet tough cos I still love u
reality has hit me very rough
it's sad but I'm still glad

It All Came Down To Love

So today I decided to put my hand on paper
And exhale the invaded privacy of my inner most
Tell of what my forbidden heart to love has been up to
Turning and rumbling inside of me
Creating a turmoil feeding my soul with pleasure

Yes... It is love this poor being of me is trying to express
Residing deep inside the unknown of my heart
The depths even I was scared to adventure
Full of leisure, pleasure and treasure only the believers can discover
Only cos love hurts... true love pains

Anyhow, let me tell of this smile on my face
The fuel that powers the excitement in my energy
It is one feeling I forbid myself to fear or shut out
In fact I dare my heart to take that leap of faith
For with love comes joy and peace... God’s best creation

I fear not the disappointment love carries cos I’m a believer
I overlook the sadness that lies ‘neath its wings cos I have faith
I don’t mind opening the doors in the sacred space of my heart over and over
For love to reside one more time for God is love and God is in me
I’m ready to let the rivers of love wash over my fears

Love wrote its name across my heart... Next to it I engraved his name
With the brightest colours of the rainbow across the grey skies at dusk
For he is my angel and shall forever remain my very own guardian angel...
I can proudly say I love loving him unconditionally... THANK YOU

He Knocked Me Off My Feet

Today i knocked off early
What a day it was
Impatience is riding my soul
Like a hungry horse in the field
Anxious to reach the bus stop

I waited for my bus ride
Singing and counting the minutes
I dressed like a lil girl
Waiting to see her 1st crush
Grinning from ear to ear

And then... There he was
My lil stallion dressed in black
Moving like a devil on steroids
He don't notice
But i turn all purple with envy

FInally i gather all my scattered guts
Move up close to him
My heart thumping, bet he heard that
Cos his lips twisted with charm
Gosh he's pretty

I was about to move my lips
And whisper "hello sir"
But he beat me to it
He said "hey sexy"
I held my breathe in then out

I lost my grip and felt dizzy
People cheered in awe
... He had a tunnel inside his mouth
All his front teeth had disappeared
It wa all dark and scary

As i regained my sanity and opened my eyes
His lips were locked in mine
Mouth to mouth they said
Soft and juicy so warm against
I died in his arms for good

Today he's my husband... Till teeth do us part
He's my teethless husband and i love him

And Then He Gave Me You

When I was little so long ago
I used to dream
some day I might know.
Back then I used to believe
the world was lonely, horrible and dark.

That life was hard and heavy
and it saddened my heart.
A hug and a kiss were empty and rare
saying I love you
was nothing but words in the air.

I never knew how to play and to laugh
without feeling like I was wrong and bad.
As I grew older
I remember I started to pray,
"Please God please
if this is my life, take me away."

Then wake up with no sign of relief.
Things would always seem colder
darker and bleak.
And Then...
He Gave Me You.
I never dreamed anyone can love me.
The hugs and the kisses
were abundantly free.

Those three little words
could be said with such weight
that it touched your heart
they made you feel great.

That laughter and happiness
were required in life.
Because they made the cold and the dark
somehow warmer and bright.

Never till then
did I feel I belonged.
That I was wanted and needed
until you came along.

Now when my life
starts to feel dark and so heavy
clouding up my view.
I can stop and find peace
because he has given me you.

You loved me completely
with all that you are
You made me believe I was wanted,
and gave me faith in my heart.

I Didn'T Mean To Cry But I Cried

Can you hear the sweet sound?
Of care-free birds all high
Singing unknown pretty tunes
If you can… please
Lend me your ears so I can embrace too

I heard the sun was out today
Shining its rays into the skin of men
Warming soul and hearts all around me
I woke up to darkness
If you can… please
Lend me your eyes so I can witness daylight

My beauty I have or so I believe
Lies beneath these clothes I bear
The pure, deep simple yet true smile
I know naught, hidden by the mask I stole
From nature to hide myself

Pretty. I hear them say, they don't know
I'm different in me, beneath my face
People have skeletons in their closets
I have masks, yes I laugh now
When reality strikes I die

I live by faith but it fails me @ times
I eat and breathe hope for a better tomorrow
Still it fails me @ times but I keep it somehow
The make believe world surrounds me
Still I laugh knowing tomorrow bears the same story

The people I hide in me
I believe, can roar a roaring lion back in amazement
Can make a child see love on another level
Mountains can bow down @ my heart
Yet these roads I travel are built on the people in me

If those eyes engraved on your face
The ears blooming on your head
The true smile stuck between your glooming cheeks
Can be spared just for a day… just for me
I'll kindly and freely trade them for my masks.

If not… take my hand and walk with me
For fear surrounds my loneliness
Sorrow clouds my judgement on each day I bear
Patience is a forlorn memory built in my head
Love exists only in my imagination…

Just Another Used To Be

I remember when I used to love you
Those times when I believed the moon lived in your eyes
When I thought the stars shone brighter in your presence
I remember those days when you used to be my smile.

Long ago ages it seems when your voice put me to sleep.
Some days the feeling I used to feel visits my being
It don’t feel as powerful as it used to be
Just another sad moment that last for a second

Remember those days I used to cry cos I missed you?

Those days when my name used to taste sweeter than wine?
When my presence embraced and blessed your days?
Yeah… those silent moments underneath the dark night
The sparkles in our eyes and grins brightened the silent evenings.

When your arms warmed and scared the cold away
When the sound of my voice was the only sweet melody you knew.
I’m talking about the restlessness our bodies knew naught
When love, joy and happiness were the story of our lives.

Until… until… you slipped, tripped and fell on some foreign lap

Then it pierced through my soul out through my heart
But baby… baby it’s just a forlorn memory on my mind
Love, true depths of love knows no ending
The heart doesn’t break, just like a wound it heals

LOL… if I’m allowed to say that, describes our history

Cos the best way to entertain history is to laugh at it
Then it will only be just another memory…
Everything happens for a reason and I’m glad we happened
Or else I wouldn’t know how to love better

Yes you are… Just another book I used to read
You are nothing but a memory

Mother Do You Know I Love You

do you remember the day u first felt me move?
I danced to the weird music you liked so much
back in the days where u used to cover yourself so I can be warm

your hand brushed me now and then with tenderness…
but it was ticklish to me
I know u could hear me laughing
cause I heard you laugh and felt u smile

then I met you face to face for the 1st time
I cried and cried but you kept on smiling
you held me with tenderness
and never let me go till this day

I'm older now… looking back on the years
not a single one have you ever left my side
I gave you headache and heartache
but you never hated me

I love you mother… don’t be so shocked
I always loved you but failed to say it
no one has loved me better
your love kept me strong

I'm now a parent myself, I know how you felt
when the world hurt me and you hurt too
I was always strong but you were stronger
these tears flow when I think of you

when I think of how you hustled day in and out
so I can have food, warmth and a roof
how can I thank you? how do I say it better?
Mother I love you

hush now I'm not going anywhere
just letting you know of this love in me
the one you built and nourished
so you can be proud, like I am

Inner the Depth of Love

Time and time again I see people loving
Loving for wrong reasons, loving cos they used to them
Watching true love pass by
Not even saying hello to it

Such love that beats together with your soul
The very same love that takes your breath away
The one that makes your heart smile in the middle of pain
One that none can explain

Manier times we chase dreams
Ignoring the answer that rhymes with love’s rhythm
We follow the footsteps of the blind mind
Believing the answer is in the years we spend loving lust

None can explain the reason we love love
We turn to love love in our minds
We turn to believe it cries when we cry
Truth is love always smiles when we sigh

But if you see love through their eyes
Hear it in their laughter
Feel it when they cry yet you smile
A smile provoked by love…

When you sing to the sound of their name in your head
When you start and they complement your words
When your hearts beat to the same rhythm
That’s when you gotta believe love lives inside the walls of your heart

Such love is scarce, such love is forbidden to our generation…
Such love should be cherished and embraced everyday
Such love can never slip you through
Love her today like you've never loved her before…
