Never---------Is the Right Time Exit------Stage Left

From tots barely walking unaware of life’s fears.
To the rich in spirit and full of years.
A bright torch, now extinguished……results in tears.

For blood, friends, and neighbors raw unchecked emotions surface……love, guilt, hate, anger…it’s a varied toss.

Realizing you will never contact, hear, or see your loved one again, only deepens the emotional loss.

Do what you gotta do, to make it through.

Forgive yourself….if need be seek professional help, beats wearing a strait jacket long sleeved.

To the living of dearly departed matriarchs, mothers, women rest assured; “A lady always knows when to leave”…..

Respect, Is It Earned Or Given

The expectation of respect spans far and wide.
Is it earned today; NO….it’s all about pride.
Some young people exploit it; most expect it due in return.
Causing chaotic havoc with little regard to bridges burned.

Respect is:
A consideration, esteem of another that you know or meet.
Respect comes from how you feel about yourself; sometimes earned, never cheap.

Parental or family respect:
Words may not be spoken yet it shows in what you do.
Producing action, speaking louder than words said “on cue.”
Supports behavior, conduct, effort; when saying “I love you.”

Respect proves itself; re-enforces the care of our elders, appreciation of parents, tolerates, keeps…
Not forced, or summoned; but draws from raw regard deposited deep.

RESPECT

The Price of Redemption

This is the Easter celebration season, in memory of the risen Christ; that is the reason.
In the garden Jesus could have called a legion of angels, been rescued and salvation naught.
But he loved man-kind so….He endured whatever it brought.

Buffeted about, he was pierced in his side.
The week before hailed, on a foal He did ride.
Coats and palms were laid at his feet.
“HOSANNAH in the Highest” echoed through the streets.

Tried, Pilate could find no fault in Him.
The Jewish religious leaders decided on death; no matter how grim.
Beaten and scourged, a crown of thorns crushed on his head; misunderstood by the thousands he fed.

The lesser of two choices was He.
Smacked, spat upon, beaten, scourged and scorned; then nailed to a tree.
