Holding On To Let Go

It doesn’t matter who you are where you came from or where you’re going, we all enter the world the same and leave it the same. The only things that make us different are circumstances and choices, both of which come with only two options ultimately leading to a single result. When something in our lives isn’t right be it a relationship a situation our circumstances a person a feeling or a thought we have two choices hold on or let go? And either choice leads us to the same result which is to fight! If you choose to hold on you enter a constant battle to right the wrong and keep it right! And If you choose to let go you enter a battle with yourself constantly questioning your decision and your reasons for making it. So in reality we all enter the world with two choices and no option but to fight until we leave it.

Diet Coke Break

Create your own diet coke break is what the adverts say,
So I decided to give it a go earlier on today
I was in the local shop buying my favourite tin,
When the man of my dreams just floated in
So I hung around the haribo’s and the Berti Bassett’s,
Conjuring a plan to view his assets
Reassuring myself “he’ll never know”,
I thought what the hell I’ll give it a go
And my plan worked out cause when I dropped my gum,
He picked it up while I glared at his bum
But caught in the moment I let temptation win,
And to my embarrassment I sunk my teeth in
I was so ashamed he must have thought I was mad,
That’s the last time I’ll listen to a TV ad!

Why

I’m empty I’m broken
I’m bleeding and bruised

You drained me you broke me
You left me confused

I’m hurting I’m crying
I’m unhappy and alone

You hurt me you upset me
Your reasons not known

If Only

if with every tear there cleared a drout
i'd cry for each emotion
and if my body dried throughout
i'd lead you to the ocean

if with every breath a knew life started
there'd be not a single one to waste
i'd feel blessed each time my lips were parted
just to know how good life cud taste

if with every smile a friendship was found
then nobody would feel lonely
there'd be much happier people around
if only
