Tiny Words

tiny words

'went to the gas station
and opened my mouth

filled my stomach
with gasoline

lit a match and
swallowed it in

burned myself
smoked with fire

i spread like charcoal
smeared in a kid's hand

stenched and charred black
i spread to the pristine clouds

deploring the blue vault
like a black shiitake flower

suffocating lungs
with a dire myth

then went to the ocean
and devoted myself

to no resistance
and drowned .......

'cut my lips with sharp
visceral shale and waited

for the sharks to gnaw
my weightless lips and

useless mouth ..........
while the rest of me

traveled in the bellies
of fish ..............

......................

.......................

.......................

fed by tiny words .

........................

A Deluge Coming

"a deluge coming" 7/20/11

there i stood,

….out in the rain

 umbrella full of holes
perforated like a shower drain

… the rain..
. . . . .
. . . .
. . . . . .
. . . .
. . . .
. . . . .

…dripping down my face

why bother, i would say

……………………………………

so i stood

while droplets glazed my face

,"where are you?"

i would say
as i slowly turned to clay

. . .and felt the putty in my throat
begin to weigh

as the moisture stayed

a stillness parged my voice

there is a deluge coming,
i would say ………………….

,"where are you?"
just come . . . . .

be my sun

Coldness

Coldness I these winter nights undertake my body usurps my reserved warmth with a strangle hold scraping my nape with night fissures of black bleeding my body shrieks to the jerking marrow and denudes the caverns through my nose as my breath is a frozen gust along the obsidian sky fingertips paralyzed -curled to the clutch of my palms that can't defrost the serrated shards of the night solidify as my body convulses and crystalize the coldness' thickens as the pace of the air pervades until all of me - sent like ashes from glaciers burned - begin to evaporate .. .......... II as i ascend - there is a silence a linear silence that tauts the horizon and there is abscence -the abscence of the light ...........comfort about the infinite dark with the pulsating breathing of the shimmering stars and the clarity of the large sky i oscillate around your satellite forever like a mortal coil

The Difference With Mist

the difference with mist

this…. landscape of blurry fog
mist that rise from breathless trees
kiss with vapors from the mourning rain
wish upon a lonely breeze

place with sorrow your heavy dew
encase thy eternal lips
traced by charcoal and vellum
erased with lightness that is missed

When I Was a Stone

I when i was a stone i laid tirelessly on this earth high atop a knoll and was content to be until someone had fallen and loosened my grip different from when the rains came different from when the drips drained the gap that distanced me allowed me to suddenly roll as much as i could until momentum took hold and spirited me on and though the winds quelled i crumbled along a trajectory landing finally finally II and my pores slowly relaxed my igneous skin cracked - i laid and saw the ultra sky III the sand that shored around me was always the thing in sight and i smiled with great delight looking back from where i rolled - up on the long hill where i had forever been the sand came washing over me with silent whispers in harmony ...... i can finally hear what they're saying to me ...... ............we were once like you …….
