Something Not To Try

Thoughtless nights,
they come and go
leaving my spirits
forever low
The darkness now plagues
my inner mind
and traps my heart
into a thick spellbind.

I warn you now
to all who read
not to follow in my sad deed
I gave my soul
I gave it whole
and prayed she give it back
but it seemed
a sense of reality did this lack
because I look at face 
and I can't find a single space
that has not been left scarred.

You will definitely lose
no matter what you choose
you'll end up like me
no longer happy
and no longer free.
