Amor Vincit Omnia

Embrace
Serenity within the arms of the significant one
A heartbeat exploding through the chest
Against the skin of the innocent

Lost
An art that is performed in secrecy
Hidden from the decay of morals,
Deep inside the bottomless blindfold of society

Extermination
Shattering the sinful ways,
Of those left behind
Preacher to the damned of the new world

Devout
Pure to those who follow it
Beautiful like the sound of bullets,
Ringing through the halls of a vacant church

Forgiveness
A silhouette on the wall,
Peering into the eyes of its recipient
Those thankful for the purification from darkness

Life
Souls that feed on its grace
A last remedy for those who have lost hope
Love conquers all

The Saddest Story Known To the Human Heart

He sped home,
His hands covered with desperation
Pedal down to the cold of the floor
His mind clouded with hesitation

She stood alone on the porch,
Her hands covered with damnation
Heart cold from the winter night
She was yearning for the liberation

Tears streamed from down his eyes
The night was clouded like a horror movie
Breaths are heavy and cold with perspiration
Thinking, “How could she do this to me?”

Her legs gave out,
As she collapsed to the floor
Headed to the phone
She crawled to the door

His love burned out,
As he slammed on the gas
Eyes blurred with tears
He was going way to fast

She had to tell him,
He was the love of her life
Phone was cold as she grasped it
She quickly dialed his number in strife

His phone rang in the side of his jeans
He scrambled for it and saw her name
Mind conflicted whether to pick it up
He answered in a crying shame

She hears his voice from the other side
She tells him she loves him and starts to cry
Then it happened
She never got to say goodbye

His speedometer was to the max,
His attention was taken of the street
Head on collision
He had his life swept from under his feet

She heard the crash on the other end
Screamed out his name in an awful blur
And collapsed again to the floor
He never got the chance to say he loved her

Close the Lock

Entwined
Love and Death clutch hands
Speak vows written in holy word
As the Devil smiles with anticipation

Down the aisle she dances
Corset laced and dress sinuous
Her magnificence was faultless

He stands stiff,
Framework trembling with nervous jerks
Butterflies eat the lining of the stomach

Both speak the words of truth,
And seal it with a kiss
Weeps from the church pews
Strike the heart, sentimental

Now closed forever, protected
Priceless rings signify nothing
Hearts bleed jewelry

United in the courtship of love
Sinners they are destined to befall
Satan smiles, awaits
As they pick the lock on the gates of Hell

Genocide of the Poet

The world closes its eyes
Trepidation on pen on paper
Genocide of poets
Beside the thrash of the society
Hand in hand through the forest
Of smog and haze
Black and white existence
Color is an obsession of the past
Coffee houses become last resort
To martyr’s of the creative expression

Hidden in the corner
Dipped hats and cigarette smoke
Masks and oxygen to who remain
Deceased now, animals
Wedged in the headlights of a speeding car
Faint, it goes unnoticed
Unchanged by the trial of our hell
Sovereignty
Lungs crammed with damnation
Sorrow for the crumbling world
Forgotten times are lost eternally
Dylan picks up his coat and raises a toast
To those who still struggle
And disappears into the mist of urban lights
