Diary of An Honest Woman

A woman's like a cat,
coniving and keen.
One minute purring,
the next minute mean.
She'll slice open your heart,
with her sharp claws.
And as you know a woman,
she has no flaws.
So don't bother trying,
to put up a fight,
Cause no matter the man,
the woman's always right.

I'Ll See You In My Dreams

She was the best woman, any of us will ever know,
Her time on earth is gone, and we all must let go.
To let go only of the physical, cause she's in a better place.
It's out of our hands, and now in God's good grace.
She stayed here so long, to take care of all of us.
She never complained, or put up a fuss.
Because loving her family, is what she did best.
Having her in our lives, we were all truely blessed.
She was a remarkable woman, so strong with pride.
We should live as she did, letting our heart be our guide.
She was grateful for what she had, and thankful for each day.
As much as we all hurt right now, we know that she's okay.
She was so honest and pure, with unconditional love.
And is now our guardian angel, watching over us from above.
Her husband's been waiting patiently, for so many years.
We need to remember that, through all of our tears.
She gave a piece of her heart, for all of us to keep.
She was never afaid, cause saints pass in their sleep.
I hope she's remember, as the mother of all mother's.
As she ends this journey, and embarks on another.
Life goes by too fast, although it isn't how it seems.
I love you, I'll miss you and I'll see you in my dreams.

Promises

I promised myself no more pain,
but the pain's still deep inside.
Thoughts of future, love and gain,
but this pain I can not hide.

I promised myself no more hurt,
but the hurt's still deep inside.
I'd have no boyfriend, I'd be a flirt,
and my head would be my guide.

I promised myself no more fight,
but the fight's still deep inside.
Thoughts of anger, full of spite,
for all boyfriends who have lied.

I promised myself no more cry,
but the cry's still deep inside.
For no one to hear and no one to sye,
for my heart went along for the ride.
