Little, Orange Ball

An orange little ball,
Tattered and torn to bits,
No longer does it fly straight,
Its course lost, its path in fits,

An orange little ball,
Sad within its cracks and in its creases,
Faded bumps, its lost its grip,
It now falls to pieces,

Orange little ball,
Come to death smiling,
Never live just to die,
Happiness lives in and amidst the crying,

Orange little ball,
Wipe the tears away,
There is peace to be found,
In and amongst the fray.

Poet's Soul

Once lost was the poets soul,
Ran away and turned to coal,
The heart that is a fragile thing,
The times that were took their toll,

Sorrow it was that filled the poets void,
Cried he did as the sorrow toyed,
The soul that was that strayed away,
The poets love that was devoid.

Two Fronts

Two torn halves a battling,

Cannon shots be heard,

For war rages on forward,

Day and night, no respite to be found,

Hands betraying, a gun no longer safe in hand,

Fear that claws at the weary soldier,

Before he takes a life,

He prays with tears and begs for love,

The shot he does fire,

So it is the last,

For the war has now ceased,

No side a winner,

Silence be heard,

For no other ever witnessed this war.

No Man's Land

Avoiding me, I cannot quite seem to catch you,
You slithery fiend, in decision I choose to loathe you!
Fatigued as I am, I chase ever after,
Be gone my tired eyes and fade into the laughter,
Walking empty streets until the sun doth shine,
Until clouds beckon on a ribbon of yellow line,
The beauty that is doth captivate so,
An enemy, my timeless foe,
Never have we once been a friend,
But does it not depend?
I cannot survive without thee,
Until my dreams invade to set me free.

Pawn

And so do I fall, and so do I fail,
Falling so deeply into this destructive void,
Nothing but ash and specs of dust that were once my brittle bones and scarred flesh.

To not know what is ahead,
How maddening! How so distraught have I seemingly become,
Forgotten myself as time has smoothed over me.

Tricky, sly fiend indeed; master and slave a like to us all.

Do I dare move forward into the uncertainty that is humanity and of such society?
So gut wrenching, thoughts filled of bile at what is.

As we all are from and are the same, yet tear limb by limb the essence of ourselves by one another in an endless state of bigotry and violence; so brightly are we bathed in evil.

So easy is it to see.

Miracles; perhaps shall they see fit to carry me away from the void that is, and from such temptation, as to live the rest of days in blissful, stagnant dreams.

Persistent Thing

Seamlessly out of reach,

Coming to a grasp,

Then just to leach,

To lay down,

A hand brushing out over these blades of grass,

Touching, is it not?

That he may find her,

Such formlessness,

When will the time come?

Oh, the times there were,

Though the times that may,

Like cogs in a machine turning endlessly within this brain,

Clouding the path, the dreams,

Clouding all that could be,

Clouding this life, this sight, so you may be a passer-by,

A wish for you to be near,

To spend the cold of the night within the comfort of your warmth,

Lonely is the dark, ill-illuminated cage of my heart,

So frightening at times, yet so understandingly comforting amongst others,

So starts the spread of delusion, of fright, and of fear,

To be happy for,

What a joke! Harder than to pass through the iron maiden that is the guard to these thoughts,

As the selfishness grows,

And the jealousy ensues,

No anger, but calming waves of sorrow,

Setting in as it swallows whole,

Stretching out the hand,

A hope that continues,

To crash yet again,

To stand back up,

And continue the trend,

Wondering, when shall it all end?

Mind

Where are you now?
Are you in and among the crowd?
In a world in which I cannot follow?
Extradite to imaginary borders,
Where my thoughts finally unfurl.

To Find You

I wish I could find you,
Find the one,
The one who shows their love,
The one who shows they care.

I want somebody to love,
Somebody to share these joys,
I want somebody to hold,
Somebody there when it's cold.

I'm lonely and I'm sad,
I'm unhappy and I'm lost,
I am looking and without success,
Searching through what seems a misty frost.

There is one girl out there,
Searching and looking,
I wonder where she is,
So I can tell her, "I'm right here."

Lamenting Spirit

Seemingly standing alone,
In the shadows of doubt and fear,
Lost, cold, forgotten,
Cold is the grasp of death that nears

Seeking a hand in darkness of solitude,
Wishing for nothing but a love,
Turned away, cast aside, borne not even a stray, lone thought,
Towering aloft, looked down upon from far above

Throned so high overhead, just as kings of old,
Glared down upon, a lowly tear forsaken so,
Caught within a trap, drowning, mists of sorrow,
A voice unheard, a voice deserted, only a voice in woe

Wandering such great, forlorn paths,
A derelict mind harshly beat, a mind that has since long been vacant,
Rove, this neglected child does,
One mind among so many, outcast, this dolor mind abeyant.

Ms Rain

We have been friends for many a year, and been through much pain, but we have continued on strong, you and I Ms. Rain. Our friendship is a special one, something I would not lose. No matter what I could be told, those who would spit out their views, I can not deny the truth within my heart, how exactly it is I feel because in the end I have fallen for you, you are my Achilles heel.

Beheld in my eyes you shine as bright as the sun, so vibrant in its place. I look upon you, and I can not help it, I smile every time I see your face. Your eyes speak silent words, words filled with so much joy, but you needn't say a word, I hope to one day be your boy.

In a time of sorrow where I felt without life, you rescued me from the dark. I felt a purpose once again, I felt life flow back into my heart. You deserve much more than that which you have been given, for that there is no doubt, and even though this world is cruel, and sometimes so utterly dark, do not fret nor do not pout.

We continue to move on forward, and we shall never stop. There may be times that seem unmeasurable, times where we seem to drop, but with you I feel anything is possible, and with you I hope to advance. Nothing feels more certain, yet all I need is but a chance. Your smile brings a joy to my heart, a joy which others could only hope to attain, I hope one day that I can do the same, bring this joy to you Ms. Rain.
