The battle now is over.
No more pain,no pills, no fear.
Your courage was miraculous,
Having cancer for all those years.
You taught me how the world goes on,
No matter what gets in the way.
You taught me of the love of God.
Of him you talked of most every day.
Now he has you close to him.
Your children are still here on earth.
Please quide them through the rest of their days.
Hold them close show them all your worth.
On those days when they need you most
Show your love and take their hands.
Remind them of the beautiful poem
Footprints in the sand.

Tears filled up the sheilded heart
No one there to see them flow
Then the dam it does burst
To much to conquer I now know
Then God of love,whom I've known since young
Comes down to rescue me
His arms open wide, they clutch my soul
The rescue I forseen
He holds me close, he craddles me
My fear of life now gone
He whispers it's alright my child
So sorry things went so wrong
As he pulls me closer I whisper back
Please take care of those below
I never wanted to hurt them
Please tell them, I want them to know
