Full of Emptiness

full of hatred
full of regret
full of despair
yet empty

empty of love
empty of joy
empty of life
yet full

Baby Blue Eyes

His blue eyes electric,
so clear through the dark.
They shone so bright,
his baby blue eyes.

Despite his age,
he looked so young.
They shone so bright,
his baby blue eyes.

On his bike,
he was so free.
They shone so bright,
my baby blue eyes.

-Dedicated to my Great Uncle George-

This Was Going To Be a Song...

Reinvention is distilled
by tidal waves of fools.
Of distant childhood memories
Of trying to be cool.
Of people pointing out your wrongs
Never what is right.
So you don't know how I feel.
I'm trapped inside this dissapointing world.

That Feeling

I say hello,
the room goes quiet,
it is filled with awkward silence.
I am not wanted.

I turn to leave,
I take three steps,
I slam the door,
conversation resumes.

Falling

The whole world is out to get me
so I run away; I hide.
In the garage, under the bed,
On the roof.

No one bothers to look for me anymore.
I am being abandoned.
So as I sat on the roof, I wondered
what it would be like if I jumped.

Would it feel like I was flying?
Will it be what I imagine?
Or will I fall to the ground quickly,
landing in a deflated heap?

I want to fall forever.

Belinda

Raw colour aftr the sunrise
I ache to be gone
Driven mad by my words of insanity;
That taste of sweet nothings.

My peach scented breath
in the crisp morning air,
Oh, who was there to see
my entire world consuming me?

Frustration

Do this, do that
can I have no independence?
I am treated like your junior,
we know this is not the case.
This is not fair.

Maybe I should leave.
You would be an only child.
Is that not your greatest desire?
I could be gone,
you WILL be free.

Yet your freedom,
it comes at a cost.
One's freedom for another's sorrow.
Whose sorrow? You ask.
Mine.

Are you willing to risk it?

Affirmation

If you can't accept who I am,
I can't accept you know what's best for me.
I am who I am and I don't plan on changing.
Yes change is beautiful,
But what if you're beautiful before you change?
I'm fine with who I am right now
And nothing's going to change *that*.
If you've got a problem with that,
Then I don't want to know you.

You

You see me walking down the hall,
You always stop and stare.
You wait til’ I walk past and then,
You whisper to your mates.

About how bad her hair is
and don’t her clothes look funny.
maybe I could find a smile
or try to get some friends.

You always judge, but never think.
You never seem to care.
I am the butt of all your jokes.
I’m worsened cos’ of you.

You know my name but not my story.
I’ll tell it to you now.
I can’t afford a new haircut
or a flashy pair of jeans.

Whilst you enjoy your parties,
I’m crying myself to sleep.
You never realise you’re in the wrong
until it’s much too late.

You are the death of me.

Not Really a Poem At All

No one noticed as the blackness consumed me;
No one noticed when I cried;
No one noticed anything at all.
Until I died.
