A World

I'd rather not say,
and I'd rather let go,
all the memories I've witnessed,
and lived through, I know,
But although I'd love to remove them with ease,
I can't help think I'd miss my memories,
A thought process I was given at birth,
It's allowed me to see what the worlds really worth,
We aren't just a few dots on a map.
Were each our own,
and somehow we thrive as shown,
We created a government,
based on a system, checks and balances,
and god be with them,
our founding fathers, had the right vision,
they just didn't want to end up like
Lincoln,
Shot for his beliefs,
of a land for all people,
where black and white were created equal,
slavery not mentioned once in the constitution,
a bill of rights, not directed to save a woman,
and yet we look at ourselves and say we dont judge,
our judicial system had to be rewritten, after a veto decision became a federal incryption,
judicial review was set in place and now the states government was never gunna be the same,
yet when was it ever.
the roles kept changing,
people were replacing, and presidents were being assassinated,
our here and now is today and tomorrow,
obamas campaign was for a change and decision,
yet has anything become better?
A country in debt, higher than its ever been,
foreclosure, and unemployment all the same,
were separated, without hope, and unsure of whats to come,
so why cant we link arms once and for all?
were stubborn, were biased, were racist, and in denial that we have something in common
were citizens to a nation, bound by religion, bound by government, and bound by family,
but were still not the same, and no matter how much we want to be,
we wont be, until we can realize,
who we need to be,
and thats a nation willing to equally treat
all of its members
and equally Judge no one,
but nothings perfect,
and we face tradgic times,
but its time someone took a stand
and actually compromise.

People Us We He She Highschool Galaxies

People
Us
We
He
She
What is the Universe but
A galaxy of People
Of rock
A spinning mess
A vortex, Of life, and death
But never expectant of what will occur next
Cuz people
Us
We
we use
and
him and her
They continue
To fight To let go, To dream
and yet everything still seems
to be one big mystery
do I or even you
Yea you, sitting there
In your comfy chair
do you realize
what this world has to offer
We arent living like willy wonka
its not all Candy lands
and sugary sweets
were living lives of pain and deceit
People
Dont you see
that we
You
and me
yeah Us
we run the goverment
a republic
the voice of the people
and we
you and me
We dont speak out
we arent heard
because were just the people
we dont have the educations
of the democrats or the republicans
no ivy leaque schools
no seat in the senate
Hell, we dont know our right from wrong
when it comes to politics
they think
But what do THEY know
what makes THEM better than
you
or me
hell even we
we the people of the united states
we are what is known as the human race
and even when it comes to presidents
our voices, arent the ones they collect
a group of people
they elect
who represents
and in the end
our president
is who the state favors
should represent
these politics
bah, you see
that we
no matter who we are
we will always live under these stars
unless we decided
to find who we are
yes, that we is
you and me
the people
no we dont have to become celebraties
or scientists
or someone unique
we have to be
you and me
cuz thats all we can become
you see
in a world full of people
in a universe
so wide
theres all different societies
and theres people who try to hide
They hide behind thier makeup
and they hide behind their style
they blend into a picture
of a class based world
but didnt we trash the cast system years ago
the brahmans and the untouchables
so different
yet so the same
they were both people
just different financial ranks
just like the people of today
So dont you see
That you and me
yes
us teens
we
Triumph
we succeed
we give up
and we breathe
we are who we think we need to be
and in a world of many colors
races, and religions
how are we so different
we
Live
You
you learn
He
He regrets
and She
she loves
us as a people
we make this one planet our own
in a galaxy far and wide
we just have to decide
are we
yes you and me
going to sit back
on this ride
or take a chance
and make a change
we are in high school after all
and we are the human race...

The Long Walk

As we walk through life forget all the hard times,
we remember what we were taught,
and how hard our parents fought,
for us to live the lives they couldn't ever imagine to have.

We walk through this world with a few good friends,
a shelter, and a god given plan.
to be the best we can, no matter how hard,
to make the right moves, as we walk through the dark.

As we walk through the trials of pain and defeat,
we soon realize, it takes more to be beat,
we built up our guards, and made up the walls,
so what's stopping us, from moving on through it all.

We walk through this life, with love in our hearts,
a notion of what love is, but never a real sense of how it starts,
we fight for our passions, others break down our walls,
we let everything go, just to give a person our open arms.

Because, as we go through this world,
all its hardships and trials,
we learned our ways, our manors,
and walked the long miles,
to get to a place, where we can finally lay down our heads,
open our hearts, stop our motionless hands,
and rest in the dark.

Live and Let Die

I once had a dream,
that i was cast out to sea,
to dream and be free,
for all eternity,
under your guidance,
and under your blue skies,
i learned what it meant to live and let die,
the day u cast me out,
the day I fell to the ground,
the day my soul floated on,
to the greater beyond,
i learned what it meant to live and let die,
because on that warm summers eve,
you lost the courage to tell me why,
to tell me why it hurt to call,
to tell me why we were about to fall,
to tell me why all the feelings left,
to tell me why you had to end it like that,
i learned what it meant to live and let die,
the day i met Christ,
the day i lost all might,
the day i opened up,
to be allowed in the gates,
for your soul, is the only one who really knows,
what it means to live and let die,

The Storm

A wonderous day breaks dawns new light,
A storm at sea, brings a whole new fright,
A current so large, A whirling so vast, A shipwrecks past,
Uncovered at last.

From the depths of the sea,
to the stars in the sky,
comes a breath of fresh air,
in the lungs of a child.

Slowly forgetting the pasts dawns day,
growing up to be an adult
in a righteous way.

one looking to a new land,
for a chance to finally understand,
what its like to be free,
their imagination runs willingly.

for their life was set out to sea,
to run open, wild and free,
till they hit a new land,
with open arms and warm souls
at hand, a place to frolic and roam,
a place called their new home.

Abe Lincoln

A memory so cold, its written in stone,
On a wall, out in washington,
up a mountain of stairs, sits a man brass and boney,
with a full chin of hair,
he faught for equality, of both black and white,
a man out to change ones destiny,
by first changing ones life.
He sat six foot four,
in the presidents suite,
reading correspondents from generals in heat,
out on a battle field,
fighting a war, against ones nation,
to keep a union untore.
He was murdered in office,
at a old town play,
by a man named booth,
he was shot where he lay.
after a few hours,
home in his bed,
he died there leaving us,
a country without a president,
a month after re-elect.
and the end of the war,
a nation came together,
of both white and black.
issues still rise,
and people still fall,
under one nation,
with equality for all,
its not like it matters to you or to me,
cuz now that we see what this man had to be,
he started an up rise,
with just a few words
in the gettysburg address,
his voice was heard,
we talk about equality,
and what we all want,
but still today in highschools its
all about the thought,
the thought that shes nothing,
or the thought that hes better,
cuz hes from a rich family,
and shes out in the weather,
without a house,
and without the food,
cuz her parents couldnt pay for a childhood,
why do we fight when we all hold back
against a world thats lacking the respect
we dont try to end this hate,
a racial descrimination
thats bound with shame.
he lost his life
representing us,
he spoke out,
to defend the ones,
the ones who were weak
and the ones who would treat
the hurt and the hungered with
a life of disrespect.
He stopped his life,
and he stood up,
for a cause that most today,
have no clue of.

Cant Let Her Win.

Theres this empty feeling,
a lost part, a half written story that's just about to start,
but for some reason it feels like its crashing,
into a stand still like nothings going to happen,
she warned me it might end this way, but still i sit and hope and pray
that boy ill be yours some day, cause i cant let her win this way.

Heart Stops

When your heart stops a beating and you run into a wall
a wall of fear, disbelief, of never ending misery.
when your heart stops a beating and you think you've lost it all
you lose your way, forget your faith, and slowly start to fall.
so say goodbye one last time, oh say goodbye to me,
just remember my good friend nothing is as it seems,
words can embrace you, forever erase you,
or make you believe in the end ....

Why Do We Fail To Think

Id throw my life away,
Id run from the fame, and let go of the fortune,
if the world finally decided to stop all its commotion,
all these wars so infantile. the talk of blowing up another with a nuclear missile.
is this really what its come down to?
a chance at life, or death depending on who takes the first step?
we see our men die behind enemy lines, we watch our loved ones fall to their knees
a tear for a lost loved, a son, a daughter,
what if it was you? would you feel the same?
being shipped off in a body bag, given to your family with a flag and a pair of tags?
Id run away from all of this is only i could,
because once you realize its your best friend
the world is empty. You realize its a cold dark place,
never so tranquil, and never at ease,
we fight for what we cant have, and we are willing to spill blood,
Lose ourselves and our loved ones,
but we never think of the consequences till
The End.

Whats This World Coming To

Kids, parents people, their own
minds and feelings felt running through their veins,
central nervous systems all different in their specific ways,
and yet no one, not a human to be found, standing up, speaking out
a nation only so strong, a government frail only long as its people don't speak.
yet children, the creations, minds flourishing in new ways, are bound.
bound to social standings, racial discrimination, equality stopped by the formation of
identity,
economies separating the ones who will one day be this great nation, together, as one,
they say,
and yet no one works together, always fending for themselves,
laws threatening, and binding the souls that are only trying to do good. you cant walk here
you cant stand there, talk about what you wish but once you mention religion, sex or race
your band from this.
