Monster

Follow me down a rabbit hole to a place where up is left and down is right.
Perfect chaos.
Now imagine a sea made from sand where creatures now have legs and human heads.
The world of which I speak does not exist unless you have the mind for it.
It will turn and twist your every thought until...
Snap! The last twig of sanity bends finally breaking the mind it was attached to.
The path turns and around the bend you see the most hideous reflection of the most horrible
beast.
Then you realize you've been alone looking into a mirror.

Just For You

Every day I'm fallen to the inside
Wonder just how long can I hide
Stirring through these memories just one time
Hearing voices but none of them are mine
Stumble through the pages of a mystery
That's my life I need out of this misery
I wanted you
To need me like I've needed you
Just for me
And you've wanted me
To let go of what I need from you
Just for you
Now I see you for what I truly am
I need you to know this is who I am
Given you my all asked for no return
Careful what you ask for lesson learned
Now you ask me to be by your lonely side
When all that's left now is lonely pride
All that I needed from you is to know why I need you
All that I'm getting from you is that you need me to cry to
I wanted you
To need me like I've needed you
Just for me
And you've wanted me
To let go of what I need from you
Just for you
Just for you

Fate

A twist of fate is all one needs
That one simple event can change all others with ease
Most search for it day by day
And yet only a few grasp it and float away
For only when you grab your fate and take it by the horns
Then will the golden crown you adorn
Then on that day you realize
You've watched it all through someone elses eyes

Love

If love were as easy as lassoing the moon it would be done
Instead it's made out to be a perverted game of cat and mouse
One chasing the other not really knowing or believing theother does not desire the chase
A game which will test shivalry and pride while begging for her side
But oh wait! Because when she looks you in the eyes with a look that can cut through all the
garbage to the real you...
It all becomes worth it because you have found love

Bedtime Story

Doze off to a world or rather a place
With beautiful colors and demons with no face
Waters of red and valleys of black
Once you step in no turning back
The skies once blue now grey have been turned
From the ash and ruin with everything burned
And still yet you turn to a child face lit with smiles
Though behind her come the demons stretching for miles
And for this one child you must fight from within
For you are now a father and this is the world we live in

Backwards

You ever wonder why people put their thoughts down on paper?
Is it some sick twisted way of reminding themselves of all the woes of the past?
Gotta wonder about these sorts of things.
Like of all the minds in the world is mine the safest place to be?
Instead what would happen if the seas crumbled and the mountains dried up?
What if fire put out water and ice melted the sun?
Then what?
So suddenly what you thought was a beautiful melody playing in your head was in fact a
group of alley cats screaching on a fence in the middle of the night.
I guess that's what you get for thinking.

Absence

Writing seems pointless when no one is listening
The cares of the world seem trivial
Money, fame, recognition fruitless blossoms of a dead tree
The earth spins as if it had a purpose
While the pointless spinnings of an old woman's yarns make perfect sense
I find caring leaving as though it was only a temporary tenant in my minds ghetto
I'm running through the forest of my deepest, darkest feelings
If love knows no bounds then the bank account full or empty would not change a thing
My pen fails to capture the true me as I leave my mind to be looked after by a temporary
absence of thought

I Know

I know
Trying to stay up in this crazy world of chaos
I care
All my close ties are gone or lost
I know
I fear if I don't get myself together I will be lost
I care
Deep down I know things are not as bad as they seem
I know
I feel like I can see you crystal clear in my dreams
I care that I know

About a year ago a really close friend of mine accidentally took his own life. This was how I
dealt with it.

Stay

Why should I give two flying flips of a coin which seems to always only give two choices
Black and white like the stripes on a zebra always so strict to the extremes while starting to
hear voices
Noises, the sounds of a family seem to grab at your ears as you realize they make you upset
You take a step out of body and hear what comes out of your mouth feeling no regret
The ones around you that you call so dear you try so hard to push further and further away
But yet they, the ones who are pushed, refuse to budge and with you they beg to stay

Devotion

Blind love and endless faith
All things I see in your face
Endless time buried in devotion
Know no bounds across the largest ocean
With you for all time
Would be love because your bliss is mine
In this love I found you
Given me all your life to share true
By my side is where you should be
For love and life here with me
