Priscilla Cruz Poem
I see your smile within my mother
I hear your laughter in my own
I miss you every waking moment
The first granmother I had
And the first grandmother that died
I love you Francisca but I never got to tell you that
I know you look down on me from Heaven because that is your new home
I hope I can be some one that you will be proud of
I love you very much for the beautiful person on the inside and outside that u were
I know our family struggled but you were always there to help us
My mother misses you so dearly but she lives in your wonderful memory
Mi Abuelita you are my true grandmother
You loved my brothers and I before you knew us and you still do
So this is for you my Grandmother you who smile down at us each and every day
I apoligize for the wrong my aunts and grandpa did you but they were so confused
I love you forever and always Mi Abuelit en el Cielo ( My grandmother up in Heaven)
One day we will be together again you and our family.....

Priscilla Cruz Poem
The ring of a childhood memory
Full of bright sun, and smiling
faces
A great day in the park when
this idiot came along
He pulled my hair and said I
talk like a boy
He pushed me in the swings
and let me chase him around
We played tag and he let me
catch him
He tackled me to the ground
and got my dress dirty
But we didn't care, I beat him
anyway
We wrestled, and threw stones
in the pond
We stalked the ducks and threw
bread crumbs for them to eat
It had been a great day
Until this idiot came along
Then it became the perfect day
We promised to play again
tomorrow and he never showed
up
It hurt my feelings so I thought
he was mean
I promised myself to forget him
even though he'd been a fun
playmate
Years went by and I went back
to the park
I was by myself
I went down the slide and
chased grasshoppers in the tall
grass
When this idiot came along
He pulled my hair and told me I
talk like a boy
He pushed me in the swings
and let me chase him around
He tackled me to the ground
and I wrestled him and won
We fed the ducks and laughed
at each others failed attempts
at duck calls
We talked about how we'd both
met a friend in this park and
laughed
He said he'd pulled the girls
hair because he thought it was
pretty
I told him I'd beaten a boy at
wrestling in a dress
He told me how he pushed the
girl on the swings and thought
she had a unique laugh
I told him about being excited
to play with the boy again the
next day who didn't show up
We looked at each other
surprised
He apologized and we made
plans to play again tomorrow
7 years later and I'm sitting
beside the idiot I met in the
park
We're holding hands, rings
shinning in the sun watching
our baby girl
Today she met an idiot in the
park who promised to come
play again tomorrow
We both smile at each other
and look back at her glowing
face
Next day, he showed up
She met an idiot in the park
Who promised to come back to
play and did
I met my idiot in the park who
had met his idiot in the park
I married the idiot I'd meant to
forget
Honestly, I couldn't be happier

Priscilla Cruz Poem
You've cried a million tears for
me
You've given me a hand to hold
Even though I'd always run
away
You welcomed me back home
I thought I had found someone
The last time I ran off
But the truth is you were
always there
Fighting against my growing
fears
You didn't have to stay with me
But you loved me anyway
The mirror came crashing down
The shards of glass embedding
into my skin
I looked up through my water
heavy lashes
And saw you weeping there
There was nothing more that I
wanted
Then to hold you and kiss you
I was too late however..
I'd drowned inside my own
grief
I hope these words of comfort
Will be carried to you on the
wind
Because the truth is even
though I didn't deserve you
You'd given me hope to live
There's one last thing to tell
you
Even though I'm scared to
admit it
But I love you in return, and
will cherish your heart
Even if I can't be there with
you
