Do You Understand

Do you understand?
Do you understand what is in my heart?
Can you feel my world coming apart?
As my world turns upside down, I can feel myself being pulled harder closer to the ground.
Can you understand my need to be free?
See to see the light.
To just be me.
I see the people around me and I know how I think is not the same.
But remember it could be worse, I could be insane.

Dragon,
A powerful creature with fire or ice so fierce.
Dragon,
Beautiful scales glistening in the sunlight.
Dragon,
Magic so frightening, yet so amazing.
Dragon,
With eyes that see into the soul.

Prayer To the Departed

Big Dipper Little Dipper, I look upon the stars.
Then I look to the heavens above and ask myself how far to where you are?
I miss you every day know that since that time you left this Earth.
It’s still a struggle up the hill because of how much you were worth.
I wonder how you’re doing, and I hope you’re happy where you are.
I know you're with your loved ones, just wanted you to know I’m still wishing you were here.
I know to take my time here that it's something that you would want.
Know that I'm thinking of you every day, bright as the daytime sun.

Starlight so bright, how beautiful in the night,

Please be my guiding light.

Through love and hurt and pain and sorrow,

Empowering Me

Here, there, and everywhere; yes, world I know I’m weird.
But if you take a closer look, you’ll see I’m like a chapter of a book.
Each year is like a chapter, each better than the one before. I’ve learned that together we can be our own heroes only without swords.
I don’t need to be rescued I can be my own shining knight, I don’t want to argue, but I will if I need to fight.
So don’t stand there and judge me, you don’t know who I’m meant to be. 
I will be successful and I will survive, but most of all I will be me.

I Can Only Be Me

I can see my dreams they are right there, but right now all I can do is stare.
Am I worthy the dreams I long for?
Will I succeed where most everyone says I will fail.
I sometimes feel I’m falling.
Falling down a bottomless well.
I see my life passing me by.
I have to do something with my life before I die.
I look around me and see nothing a head.
My brain works differently, but I rather be normal instead.
I see those around me moving forward and they have found their path, their calling, their way in life.
Oh, how I wish that was me.
I will prove myself wrong, just wait and see.
I can only be one.
I can only be me.

A Story To Be Told

A Story to be Told

Some characters are forming in my mind, strong and powerful, yet wise and kind.

Filled with Light, Hope and Good, I know these characters stand for what should.

Summoning the magic from the depths of their souls, they might bend but they never will fold.

Strength, Courage and Love, maybe even a little help from somewhere up above.

They will fight with the honor that runs through their veins. They'll protect, guard and in time knowledge they will gain.

Until the day their destiny is fulfilled, in the darkness the light shall be revealed.

A Note of Hope

A Note of Hope

Open your eyes and listen to your heart. I know this world can rip you apart.

I've felt the pain in my soul. I know what it's like not to feel whole.

Look right here and know that I see you. Know that you belong here, this world needs you.

You can fight past the pain of what's in the past, it will take time, but the happiness can last.

Know there are people thinking about you, know everything I write right now I believe to be true.

Adhds Mind

My mind feels shattered thoughts everywhere.

Can't think can't focus my attention anywhere.

One project, two projects, so much to do.

Three projects, four. I always seem to only have one foot out the door.

Learning something new isn't easy, my mind so easily forgets.

I try so hard to remember so there will be no regrets.

My mind works differently I'm sorry but it's true.
