Me and My Sister

i mind when i was wee
playing games with my sister

we kept each other free
me and my sister

we loved with all our hearts
protecting each sister

even after having kids
joined each sister

Combining all these things
playing all the games
loving with our hearts
loving each others kids

We are glued, me and my sister!!

Alzheimers Train

Im taking the train to alzheimers, cause it aint taking me, I might wait forever for a drug to
set me free.So remember family, when my mind is truly gone,To tell me tall stories to keep
me well informed. remember mum when you were the queen of sheba, and you had hair of
silk.and then i'll chuckle to myself and think you's have lost your mind.So tell me im
important and ask me for advice.and even when i put you wrong smile and say im
right.Cause now my mind is like a childs and i need some reassurance, and Alzheimers has
stole the best of me and i dont have much endurance. But just remember while you can the
good things in your life, cause once its stolen in the night its gone for good you see.

When I Grow Old

When i grow old i will be glad
of the five braw weans im blessed to have
Gordon my oldest wise for his years
Kelly shes bolder but inside theres tears
Ashly my nightmare but i love her to bits
Sean has a laugh that has me in fits
Natasha the baby the wee cuty pie
I hope when she's older she gets a good guy
they are all so good looking no one can deny
and their all the apple of this mothers eye

James's Birthday

Happy Birthday your getting old
Never mind we will wear a blindfold
forty six aint that sore
I should know been there before
just failing sight and creeky legs
and we usually get left with the dregs

But hey just wait another few year
Male menopause to look forward to
mid life crisis will arrive
Flashy cars for you to drive
skin tight jeans you will wear
I'll tell heather to prepare

So today your birthday dont be glum
Sit and smile for what's to come
cause forty six aint that bad
Just think of it as a wee launchpad.

It's Nearly Xmas Time.

Its nearly xmas time you know
                             Children playing, lot's of snow

The times have changed to buy our gifts
                             No climbing stairs,Or getting lifts

It's warm inside, there is no threat
You see we have the internet

Im wondering now, when we are old
If things will always be controlled

We've left the old days way behind
To me it seems to be unkind

I may be living in the past
But shopping online can be a blast.

When I Was a Wean

When i was a wean we got everything free.from first bras to high heel shoes. ma mammy
thought she had the cream of the crop, five braw weans what a jaw drop. dad wasn't
working, money was tight, out came the sewing machine, she peddled all night.we awoke in
the morning new togs to put on, no designer labels but she was dead on. we would fly up the
stairs to try out our gear, kick our brother out the way,and give him a thick ear. Back we
would come, twirl for ma mammy, our pals would say yous'e are really jammy.they pulled at
our clothes looking for a tag,but our clothes you wouldn't find in no mag.

Summer Says Goodbye

Summers saying goodbye today
And winter will arrive

bumble bees are on their way
looking for their hive

Flowers are looking tired today
where once there was a fine display

Robins found his way again
No more jenny wren

Winter will creep in again
then will come the golden rain

Snow will fall upon the ground
children laughing all around

Another winter will slip away
And bring us back to that sweet bouquet

My Five Angels

Im dancing roon the kitchen, the music is ablast, Ma table is a buzz of life and i am not
harrassed. You see i have five angels who drive the neighbours wild, but in my eyes there's
nothing better than the laughter of a child. We laugh and dance together and i thank god im
alive,Cause sometimes i will doubt that when the sperm donor arrives, But today im very
happy, I have my angels to myself, the joy i feel's fantastic and may it never end, cause I
know whatever happens i will be there to defend.

My Man

I have a man with a heart of gold
good looking and funny a sight to behold
weve been glued together for many a year
had ups and downs and many a tear
but our love is stronger in that theres no doubt
this man that i love and wont do without

Is This My Mother I See

Is this my mother i see.

                        What was i doing
                        yes i am aging

Is this my mother i see
                        Alas it is not
                        It is me

                       Where was i going
                       I am forgetting

Is this my mother i see
                      Alas it is not
                      It is me

                     Why did i say that
                     It has no meaning

Is this my mother i see
                     Alas it is not
                     It is me

                    When will it leave me
                    No one is listening

Is this my mother i see
                    Alas it is not
                    It is me

For my mother who has Alzheimers.
