Summer Says Goodbye

Summers saying goodbye today
And winter will arrive
 
bumble bees are on their way
looking for their hive
 
Flowers are looking tired today
where once there was a fine display
 
Robins found his way again
No more jenny wren
 
Winter will creep in again
then will come the golden rain
 
Snow will fall upon the ground
children laughing all around
 
Another winter will slip away
And bring us back to that sweet bouquet

Such a lovely way to recount the passage of summer to winter and back to summer again, Kate. It's the circle of life and we should enjoy every minute! Wish I lived up North where you get to see snow falling. I was raised there and your poem reminds me how much I miss it! Love, Carolyn
