Empty Inside

I wonder why
I dont cry
Even though i wish to die
Forever stuck in this pit of sorrow
I wish there was no tomorrow
Just another day thats filled with tears
You where here all those years
Now that your gone
All i want is for you to be here...

Waking the Demon

Waking the demon

Do not try to conceal your lies
I know there is no truth inside
The words you spit are just to hide
For nothing good comes from lies
You will just get lost in your mind
Brewing slowly the blackness becomes
Overwhelming storms if deceit
Ones that drag and bury you deep
Crushing, smothering you need to break free
But the lies have you by the throat
No what can you do besides choke
You can flail and scream in its grip
But sorry now this one won’t slip
You built all this, your own decay
You woke this demon now you pay
The only way is out just to say
"This is it there is no other way"
There coming now don’t try to fight
Your body’s weekend, walk to the light
All this time you have thought you deceived
All this time you thought you got away
Too bad everything’s not how it seems
And that to you was just a dream

Walking on nothing.
Do you think you could show me,
How ive come this far?

A Three-Legged Workhorse

The times are hard
Poor, hungry, lonely...
But we all get by
Never thinking of others
Their feelings
Their hopes
Their anything
As we sit by the fire
He walks the dampened streets
Thinking of how to get something to eat
But throughout a dream
Things may change
And just like that
We lose everything
But on this day
Work was just the same
Just like everyday
We awake
Get dressed
Brush teeth
The same routine
But he
He never knows his last day
So when he awakes
Alive and well
There is always a prayer
And a smile like no other.

Walking slowly, tired from work
Thinking of all the bad things
In your seemingly horrible life
Under your breath you curse
Then decide to take a detour
You turn right,
Right down the way
Where he stays
Tears in his eyes
He puts on a disguise
As you bump him
A common mistake
As you partake in your apologies
He says not a word
But turns and sighs
Though in his mind
He tries not to cry
He did it to survive.
Walking towards your lawn
You see your house gone
Then realize
You have met your demise.
Your own fault
You turned a blind eye
Now it?s your curse
To walk the streets alone
And to take the place
Of a horse with three legs

Dreamscape

Barren wasteland covers this zone
Cold and white it stands,
Though what beauty reveals is so unreal
That humans walk the land.

Fierce winds torment at height
Smothering all in their wake,
But brave mountains take on their might
Ending the tundra’s crusade

Squeezed between the valleys below
Shivering they try to stay still,
For a predator watches down on its haunches
Trying to plan the kill

Trees scattered here and there
Grown by forces unknown,
Although they will survive out here
Suns warmth will never be shown

Maybe this biome seems to be
Something undiscovered,
But trees will speak if you keep
Their secrets under cover

Whatever lies beneath the snow
We will surely never know,
Maybe it’s Rosetta stone
Sitting on her lovely throne

Although there is nothing here you see
Just a young writers words,
And this is why imagination’s key
To get by in our world

Without it we would forever be
Stuck on the outside,
With nothing there except to stare
At the blank white skys...

Storm

STORM

The calm waters edge
Happily splashing the shore
The look of the calm
So happy and free
The perfect place
Anyone should want to be
Thoughts of friends
Family you wish to share this moment with
The overwhelming feeling of joy
A swirling in your mind
The most amazing scene by mankind
Displayed right before your eyes
You want to cry
At this feeling of pride
The pride and love of what is in front of your eyes
This epic moment
Sun shining to the sea
Such an amazing thing
Between the rays of light on sea
You see such godlike things
This whole feeling bringing you to your feet
For there is nothing like this
This one thing
The joy of this scene
The warmth of the light beaming
The feeling of being free
This perfect view.
As the sun slowly flows down
You sit with it
Staring at the sea
Its depth amazing
What it can hold
All the life inside its depth
The suns gleam
Off this godly thing
Makes you wonder
How such a beautiful thing
Exists in this world of death.
The trees stir
The sun now tucked away
The ocean moves, calm as every other day
Laying down by its edge
You look towards the sky
The stars slowly form
Showing their light
the moon takes the place
As the cool new sun
The crisp air of night
Flooding your mind
Making you lose track of time
Drifting to sleep
You awake in your dreams
The same old scene
Surrounds you
Yet it is not the same joy
The feeling is strange
The sun is clouded
Darkness making the ocean look grey
What was once a nice day
Has been shown to the side of decay
The wind flows around
But in a different tone
The way it moves
No, no something is wrong
The once clear open sky
Now looks to have drowned and died
The soft ocean seems to turn tide
Then the noise.
There is nothing.
The storms fury is coming
Spin, turn, look for a escape
Unable to hear yourself over the gale
You shut your eyes and think of the time
That time...
The one with the nice breeze
The one with the clear sky
The one that made you cry
Cry and cry
Those tears of happiness and content
The beautiful scene
That beautiful time.
the one that there was not a care in sight
the one where stars where shown bright
yes, yes once upon a time...

The Downward Spiral

The downward spiral

On the edge.
Leaning towards the deep end
The dark waters with their mystery
Seem to beckon you and your misery
Talking like its cold embrace will warm you
It is asking for your life and to guide you.
Leaning forward into the abyss
The wind past your ears seem to hiss
Your fly and you soar
For a time that makes you wish you had more
Though the feeling cannot last
If you keep thinking of what people said in your past
The water boils from your unleashed rage
Only stirring the whirlwind of pain and hate
As you claw at the blackness surrounding you
In the tormenting fury that you cannot bare
You wish to scream in your anger
Yet your voice seems to just whimper
drowned without air
As you are over come with despair.
The lack of life in this moment makes you weep
All you want to do is sleep
But then you think.
What about the ones I will make weep?
Maybe it’s not all that it seems
Maybe someone is waiting just for me
To wake them from their dreams
The nightmare that they cannot break free
The one they are waiting in just for me.
I want it all to stop
I really want to quit
But I know the person is waiting for a hero
And this hero is me.
I must get out.
Out of this dream
I need to wake and help the one beckoning me
I say sorry to this black water
Then flail in its grip
Trying to escape its unholy embrace.
My breath escapes from my lungs
And my mind screams in pain.
But then the darkness evaporates.
Leaving me to start anew
Like a phoenix rising from its own dark ashes.
I look at the world I thought I knew
Awake and breathing
I arise from my room
A new view on life.....
I look in a mirror
Then I see what I want to be
The glass shatters
Setting me free.
I will change the world
And all that has hurt.
I will not let the one waiting for me down
I will find him or her and turn their life around.
I won’t let this world drown
I won’t let others follow their spiral to the ground
Because I’ve already been to the bottom
I know what it’s like to hit the ground
Then lose all you have had
But now is my chance to turn it all around
Ill carry you up that spiral with not a look down
I’ll help you rebuild your world again
Then stay with you until our end
Now no one will fear the spiral again
Because they will always have a friend.

His Pride and Joy

A bonneville mustang with
A dark purple hood
It’s distinct. The lighter
Purple shade of paint that
Covers the remainder of the
Car gleams in the sun. Inside the
Cabby are leather seats; real. Accompanying
That is the wooden dashboard with
A chrome trim. It even has dice in the mirror;

This is his pride and joy.

A stuffed rabbit in
A pink, flower patterned cover.
It’s once white fur now
Old, dusty and worn. One
Eye is missing; a stitching attempt
Failed; the little tuffs of cotton
Sticking out confirm it. But the
Hands that crafted such a horrid
Creature are long gone.

This is his pride and joy.
