Catherine Adams Poem
A poor Pegasus dreams
Of soaring freely in the sky
And to graze on the mountains
With her friends, she would fly.
She awakes with a stutter
Each and every day of her life
Hoping to soar free
As each dream becomes a lie.
She gallops through the meadow
As she tries to take flight
But she falls every time
Wings like a withered kite.
When duty comes and calls
Her friends soar off the cliff
The the poor Pegasus cries
For she shares no part of the myth.
Her hoof's thunder away
As she gallops with all her might
Her wings try one last time
Only to fall out of sight
Each day she weeps alone
As her friend leaps and sings
For poor Pegasus can never fly
With her withered, broken wings.

Catherine Adams Poem
Havn't you heard?
Life isn't fair.
Nobody listens,
Nobody cares.
Everybody lies,
and covers them with smiles.
Nobodys true,
Always in denial.
Everybody hurts.
We all feel pain.
Nobodys perfect.
Nobodys sane.
Life is a tree.
Outside dark.
Nobody looks,
Beneath the bark.
You can laugh all you want,
but soon you'll see.
Nobody smiles,
When they're the tree.

Catherine Adams Poem
Your eyes blue, as the ocean waters,
As i wish i could drown in them forever, never to resurface.
Forever being locked inside, with not a key to spare,
A place where love is the air we breath and the food we swallow,
But as hearts so fragile, love is hurtful and unforgiving.
Getting attached could meen being scared forever on a heart of hope,
But not to love is as if there is no heart to scar in the first place.
So i chose the way of pain, hope, despair and desire.
I chose to drown in the deepest of your bluest seas.
My pain can wait along with the obvious and facts of life beyond us,
Where i can escape into a world where hate and hurt are no longer.
I choose the sun that lights the day and the moon that glows the night.
I choose forever, i choose you, and i choose love.

Catherine Adams Poem
A baby fawn leaps into the meadow,
I hold my breath and try not to scare.
I watch in beauty as she grazes,
And smile as she becomes aware.
She stares at me intensley,
Eyes deep with young innocence.
She slowley goes back to her grazing,
Her ears flickering to my presence.
She takes a sip from the stream,
Before she frolicks toward the trees.
She looks back at me one last time,
Then hops through the autumn leaves.
An emptyness sets inside me,
For now the fawn is gone,
Left out all on her own,
To defend herself towards harm.
To know i can't protect her,
Sets my stomach in unease.
But I tell myself she's happy,
As free as the flowing breeze.
Because sometimes to hold on,
Can hurt the one you love,
And even the sadness of her being gone,
She will be pain free from up above.

Catherine Adams Poem
The cellar door you left open,
Held the lock you had broken
The Pain you had hidden
Was down the unlit stairs
Step by step I had fallen
My footsteps where like crawling
Time went by so slow
I couldnt seem to bear
As I went to step again,
I realized it was the end
I waited for my eyes to adjust
But only darkness sunk in.
I called your name
It broke through the still air
I heard a response
No, just my echo
I walked blindly through the cold
I was searching for your soul
Because it held mine
Because you are mine.
I reached out to feel a touch
But only air was in reach of such
My worry grew more
My footsteps grew louder
I called your name
It broke through still air
I heard a response
No, just my echo
I heard a loud crash
Somewhere from the back
I abruptly turned around
As I headed for the stairs
I crawled up the steps
Each one caught my breath
I looked toward the light
So dim, yet so bright
I screamed your name
It broke through still air
I heard a response
No, just a my echo
As I finally reached the top
The cellar door was locked
I pushed with all my might
My pushing grew to fight
I cried your name
It broke through the still air
I heard a response
No, just my echo
I couldnt breath
Where could you be?
Where am I
What am I?
I felt a gentle tap
Chills ran up my back
I turned around and saw you
As i saw me.
I reached out to touch your face
But I just hit glass
You turned silver,
Spread unto a wall.
I blinked and you were gone
I was gone
I stared into a mirror
And glared at the familiar stranger
The celler door was closed and locked
Was I ever inside?
And if you were never here,
Then who and what was I?
I cried your name
It broke through the still glass
I saw a response
No, just a reflection.

Catherine Adams Poem
angst
intese anger
such a wimp
been played
betrayed
nothing but a shoulder
to cry on.
lost soul
forgotten....
undiscovered ridges
under my skin
sharp sting
gliding slowly
lost to be found
wrung sheets
no sleep
this is what you made me
what i have become
building inside
the inner demons let
loose......
Let the games begin

Catherine Adams Poem
Within your smile,
Fates hid ends eyes cannot see.
The false set of your lips,
The angel mourning 'till asleep.
Weep no more.
Angel, just dream.
Lie your head down,
Listen to the clear blue stream.
Dont pry at your wounds.
Angel ,you may permenantly scar.
Always keep to heart,
I shall never be far.
Sleep little angel.
Sweet dreams as well.
Close your tired eyes,
Untill morning, Farewell.

Catherine Adams Poem
Upon these wings of freedom
Pain shall never harm the beauty of such
Full of the glowing strength of the mountains
And a mothers gentle touch.
Upon these wings of freedom
I leave behind my darkend past
Gliding towards my golden lane
Of memories that will forever last.
Upon these wings of freedom
My laughter and smiles are soul deep
Never again to be pretending
Never again I will shout or weep.
Upon these wings of an angel,
Heaven has portrayed,
Every bone and every feather,
My true self was found and made.
