Bianca Reyes Poem
As the monsoon rains fall heavily on the ground,
I sit by the window pane wishing you were around.
The thunder strikes and I run to hide away
In search of your loving arms, where I long to stay.
I go back to that place where we first met,
The quaint chapel by the meadows, our eyes set.
Our tender hearts: innocent, youthful and frail
Together on love’s current we set sail.
Against what they say we took our every chance
But stumbled upon our childish games and youthful arrogance.
Somewhere in the journey we both lost our way
And “I love you” were just meaningless words we say.
There were many beautiful things we learned together
As we basked in sunlight and battled stormy weather.
Now, all that is left to hold on to are memories of you.
The sound of your voice that faintly says your love is true.
The lightning flashes and slowly I open my eyes
It was all but a dream, from my bed I rise.
I sit by the window pane wishing you were around,
As the monsoon rains fall heavily on the ground.

Bianca Reyes Poem
Reality is made
Dreams are made up
Dreaming could be a reality
And reality is a dream materialized
But a dream isn’t reality
And reality is no longer a dream
So be free to dream of a reality
But don’t live reality in a dream

Bianca Reyes Poem
Love over a fortnight, who would have known
Our eyes met once, that's all it took to show
Your soul that's lost, so gentle and meek
A heart that's broken, solace it seeks
Your glance, your laugh; I'll always remember
I've accepted the chances of you and I were slender
A little naive and proud, I always have been
To believe in a side of you none have seen
You came fast as a hurricane to my heart
Swiftly you left, I wish we stayed at the start
Had you known this, would it have made a difference?
Once eager hellos, ended in a few sentences
Yet if I see you someday, it won't be a regret
It's passion, it's almost silly, it's unrequited
With a smile, one day I'll reminisce when
You taught my heart to beat faster again

Bianca Reyes Poem
I know, we know this game all too well
Caught up in this moment, bound by a spell
Waiting for you to hear of this longing, almost unbearable
On our toes, every careful step we take, afraid to be vulnerable
How long will this foolish heart be uncertain?
It hasn't been easy to hide this feeling behind a curtain
I've kept you guessing, the odds have never been fair
Yet I still hope when the dust settles, I'll see you standing there
If I could then I would just set myself free
I'll take your hand and tell you it's you I'll love endlessly
In my dreams I'd runaway and be who I want to be
But at the moment, I live for my fantasies - I am still me
Until then we will keep on in this dance
We'll steal our moments and take our every chance
Still not knowing where this road will lead you and I
Our story, never the ideal one, I'm glad to fight for and try.

Bianca Reyes Poem
Dear boy with the brown eyes
I was wondering where you were tonight
If you were going about town
With some cute girl in your arms
Dear boy with the brown eyes
I wouldn't mind, oh how could I mind
When we are but thousands of miles apart
Calm this senseless beating of my heart
Dear boy with the brown eyes
Don't you dare promise the moon and stars
For my heart, oh this heart of mine
Couldn't help but wish you were true
Dear boy with the brown eyes
With the jazz and alcohol that drowns me
Tonight I long for unadulterated romance
You are the illusion I hold on to as truth
Dear boy with the brown eyes
Will you ever be more than a convenient dream?
Reach out your hand to touch me
Let me know, let me know you are real

Bianca Reyes Poem
The sun
is shining
so bright, it’s
another summer day
in beautiful Philippines.
“What a warm day!”was
all I can think to myself.
I think I could go for
some ice cream!
What flavor will it be today?
Anything but strawberry I
say! So what will it be?
I think I could go for
Chocolate, but nah,
I want something
Filipino! So I
bought Ube
ice cream
today.
yum
!!!

Bianca Reyes Poem
I hear you smile, the sweetest creases it brings
Just like reverberation from the finest strings
I gasp in awe, not to miss a moment
Craving to keep myself in containment
Memory lapses and flashes are outdone
From the greatest downfall I will shun
To see that that beam intrude into nix
Facing the shame I will not affix
Unlawful scourge that has begotten thee
I scamper away to cease to see
That nuisance of simpler I hate to miss
I hope you smile when you’re reading this

Bianca Reyes Poem
We lie awake
Caught in restless streams
Floods to memory
Days of reckless revelry
Souls meant to cross
They lay there still
Speaks of hearts lost
Loves that came at a cost
Words fighting the reveal
Fated to be unforeseen
Wounds longing to heal
Space fills the in-between
Eyes resisting sleep
A moment more to keep
Restless we stay close
Lingers perfume of rose
Drowned in the silence
Rises the sun we feared
Wrapped in the everglow
Our hands let go

Bianca Reyes Poem
A bottle of wine, glasses poured to the brim,
There sat you and I, the lights were all dim.
A pair of hearts speaking louder than it should,
All was still, we didn't escape it even if we could.
It flowed like silk, our thoughts we shared.
Eager to know more, we asked, we dared.
The moon shone its light on who was once a stranger,
The stars danced purposely as if to show off their glimmer.
We spoke of philosophies, of heartbreaks and of dreams,
Time was still, everything else stood on the seams.
It was enough for us to realize how grateful we were;
Under the starlit skies, among skyscrapers, nothing is forever.
And if all we were ever meant to have was this one moment,
My heart will hold what we shared in a fragment.
In a world of luck, chance, mystery and wonder;
The stars aligned to bring our two old souls together.

Bianca Reyes Poem
Pitter patter goes the heart;
Faster and faster it fell apart.
Dimmer and dimmer all senses went;
A hurried heart now all spent.
